Ever since they had discovered each other's identities, Porrima and Glitnir had been patrolling together. As much as Porrima had some complaints about her big brother always protecting her, she had to admit that she was learning a lot from him about the way the powered world worked. Auras, planets, certain contacts, things to watch for... all very helpful details. She had not gone to her planet or his Wonder yet, but they had set plans to explore both later this week. Glitnir had already informed Cornelius about his sister's powered status on an earlier trip, and the ancestor was waiting to meet her (though of course he couldn't resist a few jabs at Glitnir's expense). Today seemed to be an average patrol; a few youma had been dusted tonight, which was good. Sometimes pinpricks of blackness registered on the edges of their senses, but they often left before they could get in range. At one point, however, Glitnir froze, his boots stepping heavy on the sidewalk. "Porri, stay by me." Porrima felt what had caught Glitnir's attention. There was something big and black in the distance, a sensation not terribly unlike the one she had experienced when encountering the General on the night she first found Glitnir. She swallowed nervously but decided to be stubborn and not huddle behind her brother. "You can handle a General, right?" "Maybe," Glitnir said. "I fought one in the Rift invasion. But Generals eat basic senshi like candy. You'd be in danger." He paused and looked away. "I think we'd better get out of here." Torvil Show is getting on the road!

Leucite had been hunting this one for months. This one had gotten away too many times than he could count. Almost always because better prey had come along. Tonight though, he had managed to track the man down to the dark alley where he plied his trade, and with practiced swiftness, had descended upon him, and removed both his life, and his money from his person. The starseed glimmered in his hand, before it was stuffed in the jacket pocket. The money also was stashed away. Then the glow, the faint tug of order suddenly sparked onto his radar. Something fairly strong, equal to him he was sure, and something far weaker... Easy prey if he could separate it from the stronger protector. They had probably spotted him, or felt him at the very least. He teleported from the alley to the main street, now so used to the sudden change in scenery that it barely affected him anymore. His spear came to his hand from wherever it lay hidden when unneeded, and he rested it lightly against his shoulder as he saw the two now, in his vision. Some distance away. A knight for sure... And a senshi... He'd faced two regular senshi on his own before, and had had little trouble with them until they had forced his hand with their magics. He wondered then, curiously, how this fight would go. "Good evening," He called to the two, slowly walking toward them, even as he summoned Iudicael behind him. It was a drain on his energy reserves but one he felt was necessary, if nothing else Iudicael could handle the senshi on his own. "I'm not used to finding knights and senshi working together, but it's good to see that you really are allies at heart." He said, free hand touching his chest. "Now then... I advise you surrender now, and nobody has to get hurt."

Porrima's breath caught in her throat. This was the situation that lead her to first encounter Glitnir all over again. There was a General right over there, and he was talking to them. Whatever stubbornness had hung around before the General showed up was completely gone; she scooted behind Glitnir, as though her Knight brother could make her invisible. She went silent; nothing she could say would help the situation at all. Glitnir kept his cool outwardly, but his grip on the chain of his scales tensed. "Define surrender. If you just want to go your way, fine. We can fight another day. If you're referring to some other outcome, though... I can't say we'll be guaranteed to go along with it." Though he wanted to hang on to the possibility of a bloodless conclusion to this meeting, he didn't feel that his odds of leaving without a fight were very good. He had to hope that he would emerge victorious from the upcoming battle, or at least alive.

Leucite's grin shifted into a slightly sad, almost pitying look. "You know exactly what I mean by surrender," Leucite said, clicking his tongue as Iudicael came to his side. The canine youma growled and it's tail thrashed as it looked between the knight and the sesnhi. The creature suited Leucite, and it was so bound to his will now he could command it as easily as thought. Still, Leucite was a bit of a purist, so he preferred to command Iudicael in the traditonal way. Verbally. The spear's banner fluttered slightly in the breeze, as he brought the blade forward. "Now then, a knight and a senshi would make a great addition to the Negaverse." Leucite said with a grin. "Come willingly, and you will not have to suffer any injuries." He said. "Resist and well..." His grip tightened on the spear. "I'm not responsible for what might happen to you..."

Glitnir shook his head. "Do you not see these?" He pointed to the glowing chain marks along his neck. "Even if I wanted to, I couldn't come with you. You could say I'm already spoken for." He didn't exactly want to spell it out for the General on the off chance that he didn't know what Transcendence was. Though he remained poised to counter, he did not move to launch the first attack, as that would just make things get messy even quicker. Don't goad him, Si, Porrima thought, trying to give off as many "small" vibes as possible. If she was perceived as small and unimportant, maybe she could slip away unharmed, or perhaps maneuver a bit more easily. Nonetheless, she was keenly aware of how vulnerable she was. She was a basic senshi with one defensively-oriented attack that had a problematic loophole. The more she thought about it, the more she felt terror annihilate what coherent thoughts she could manage. Though it would be two against one, she felt that her odds were not very good, and she did not want to think about what that meant.

Leucite had missed the markings on first glance, and doing a quick double take of the knight he let out a small sad sigh. "Well this is unfortunate." Leucite said in an obviously disappointed tone. "Well, one out of two isn't bad I suppose. If nothing else your starseed will serve." He brought the spear into a high striking position, only removing a hand from it to point at Porrima and let out a low, quick whistle. "Iudicael, GET!" he commanded, and the youma immediately broke off from his master's side to charge full tilt at the senshi, snarling and growling mouth open and exposing a wicked, drooling maw. Leucite then grinned, and vanished from sight only to appear beside Glitnir before quickly stabbing downward with his spear toward the man's thigh in an attempt to hamstring him and prevent him from moving quickly. He knew Iudicael could handle then senshi fine on his own - it was the Knight he viewed as an actual credible threat.

Porrima's attempt at being "small" did not go as planned; she was noticed all the same, and now she had a great big canine youma hurtling towards her. Squeaking, she darted out from behind Glitnir, trying to run as fast as she could to avoid becoming dog meat. She was hoping that maybe the youma would just keep going and crash into a wall or something like a video game mini-boss. She considered trying a cast of her magic, but there was no way she would be able to concentrate on it. She had to put all her efforts into not getting eaten. The moment the General disappeared, Glitnir's heart sank. Teleportation was one of a Negaverse agent's most dangerous tools, because there was literally no way to know where the agent would show up after vanishing. He prepared for a scale swing, but unfortunately, he was too slow and he had guessed wrong as to where the General would reappear. The spear sank into his thigh, and he let out a pained roar. He wouldn't be able to channel his magic with a spear in his leg, so he couldn't even buy himself more time. The situation was quickly becoming unfavorable. Torvil Giving you a requote, as requested!

Iudicael gave chase after the senshi, moving at high speed as it attempted to keep on target and snap at the senshi as she ran away. All it needed was one good bite - and then it would lock it's jaw and hold its prey until Leucite was ready to deal with her. That was its purpose - and it lived only to fulfill that purpose for its master. It even vaulted off the wall with two paws to assist in its turn after the senshi - snarling and gnashing it's fanged maw after her as she ran. Luecite however, was focused on his target. Pulling the spear from the Knight's leg, he quickly raked the blade against the back of his other tight, and then followed up with a low, sweeping kick. His aim was simple, get the Knight on the ground and pin him to the earth with his spear. He had to be alive after all - for his Starseed to be worth anything. That's even if he could still pull the thing. He'd heard the ones with the tattoos could not be corrupted - but that didn't mean he wasn't going to at least try and make this a miserable experience for the man.

Glitnir was a sitting duck. This guy was strong and fast; he wouldn't even be able to concentrate on his magic for a second. He was flat on the ground before he knew it, bleeding heavily from the wounds on his legs. He hissed a curse and clenched the chain of his scales; he wouldn't be able to get enough momentum to strike the General from here. In between the waves of pain, a chill passed through him as it sank in that he was in very big trouble. Porrima screamed as the beastly youma chased her, and a momentary lag ended with her back bow tails in Iudicael's jaws. She tried to pull away and hope that she'd be able to rip the tails for freedom, but she just ended up stuck. Next she got an eyeful of her brother and the blood pooling around him, and she felt her own blood run cold. This was really happening. Her brother could die if she didn't do something fast. The situation was far bigger than anything she had ever encountered, and that drove her to make a grave decision. "No! Stop! Wait!" she cried out, still pulling against the youma's grip on her bow tails. "Don't kill him! Please, just... take me instead!"

The spear's point flashed downward, aiming for the Glitnir's stomach - a slow - painful end. Long enough for him to suffer and have his seed collected. However, at Porrima's scream, the blade froze, inches above Glitnir. Leucite's brow raised, and with a light tap of his steel shod boot against the knights head he chuckled. "See? This one sees sense." He said with a grin. Spinning the spear up, he let the metal bottom clack against the pavement as he looked Porrima over for a moment. "It's a poor trade - to be sure. But come." He motioned for her to approach him. "Say your goodbyes," He said, and then smiled. "I mean - I'm not cruel. I will allow that much at least." He let out a shrill whistle, and the youma released it's grip on her bows and ran to his side. "Then we go." Sami-Fire Sorry for the delay! We should be able to get you wrapped up soon!

Porrima shuddered, chills running through her body. This was it. This was the end for at least one of them, but she had a strong feeling that she was making the right choice. With shaky steps, she approached the General. "I... I'm sorry," she said to Glitnir. No other words would come out of her mouth. Glitnir's consciousness was flickering in and out, the pain blinding him in its own way. Thoroughly weakened, all he could do was raise a hand feebly in objection. The attack had stopped. Porrima was standing still. What was going on? It wasn't getting through his bogged-down head. He was going to pass out any minute. "Let's... let's just go," Porrima said, looking to Leucite with tearful eyes. It would all be over soon. Torvil Let's wrap it! I'll start the next phase soon~

Leucite nodded, and motioned for the girl to follow. Normally he'd just teleport the two of them to the rift and be done but, better for the man laying on the ground bleeding out to suffer his few potentially final moments on this earth as he watched his friend walk away to save his life. It would likely embolden him - if he survived - and that would drive him for revenge. And Leucite would be waiting to greet that revenge with the savage tip of his spear once again - and a new corrupt to break his will after. The thought put a smile to his face as they walked away.
