Example:
I would like to be a Co-Host!
Username: troubled-pasta
Nickname(s): Pasta, Noodle
Strengths & Weaknesses:
Strengths: I'm organised. I take care to make sure my replies are easily readable and avoid typos where possible.
I have, and will push myself beyond what is necessary to ensure that this room runs smoothly and looks amazing.
I know the value of communication, and how bad it can be when users go AWOL, so I make sure to keep in contact
and immediately let people know if I am unavailable for any reason.
Weaknesses: I'm introverted, so I can come off as cold and distant and this can make for bad first impressions.
I promise I'm not as grumpy as I seem, I just keep to myself more than most would.
Timezone: GMT+10
Roleplay Experience (AURB or otherwise):
I've participated in AURB roleplay events on Gaia since the 11th AURB, starting out as a co-host, then a
secondary room host, and now a secondary main host. As well as AURB-affiliated events, I've done
numerous non-Gaia roleplays, and I participate in tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons, Shadowrun,
Pathfinder, Titansgrave and Star Wars RPG.
How often are you online?: I check Gaia daily out of habit.
How will you notify us if you become unable to attend the ball?:
I will send a PM to both the Room Hosts and the Main Host explaining how long I will be unavailable for
(if it is only a portion of the ball) and why, and/or leave a message in the Room Chat quoting the Room Hosts.
How well do you handle stress?:
Well... ish. I've been in high-stress situations more times than I can count, including leadership positions where
I was responsible for teams of people. If I need a break, I make sure to let others know, and I delegate tasks where
possible to lighten my workload. That being said, I'm not perfect and I have, on occasion, snapped at people that
didn't deserve it. I've since learned from my mistakes, so it is very unlikely that will happen again.
Anything else we should know about you:
I am aware that I come across as grumpy a fair bit, but in reality I am just a shy nerd. That being said, I do not
take kindly to immature and/or bratty behaviour - especially from people older than me, and if you act like that
you are guaranteed to get on my bad side. However, there is a big difference between being immature and
knowing when it's okay to not take things seriously, and I encourage the latter.
If you need my contact details, please ask for them in a PM.
