It was in the early evening, and Tac was on a small break. He had stopped at a produce stall and bought a few pieces of fruit to eat. He had double shifts today, and heading home for his break was out of the question. By the time he got there, he would have to spin right back around to return!
Taking a bite of a fruit, he turned to head back toward the medical clinic where he both studied and worked. It was a simple enough building. Nothing fancy. Enough space for a few exam rooms, a waiting room, and a couple offices. Connected to the main building was a smaller building of two classrooms for those in training; like himself. There was no actual break room, so he was headed for the low wall bordering the clinic's property. There, he could sit and eat and study and contently ignore everyone who passed by until his next shift started.

Lenila wasn’t sure what Jarrhan wanted with a medical clinic. Perhaps there were valuable persons inside with rank of interest to him. Perhaps they kept a great deal of the coin earned from patients within the walls and he desired access to that. Perhaps it was something else she hadn’t thought of, or perhaps he simply wanted her out of his hair. All that she knew was: 1) if it had been assigned to her, it was likely either dangerous, or not that important; and 2) he did want information, and her memory had come in handy for him before.
‘Every hall, every door, every ceiling vent, every toilet, every staircase—tell me what’s in it. I don’t want you back in front of me until you can draw me a map clear enough to rebuild the building from the bottom up. Now get out.’
So, there she stood. One hand hooked in her hip pocket a half-block from the clinic, her tongue prodding around a wad of sweetened chewing sap. She gave it a blow until it made a satisfying POP! before tucking it back into her mouth and meandering closer, boots scuffing cobblestones and eyes skimming for a likely target opportunity.
As she was, roughed up and scruffy as any other bona fide street urchin, she would surely get stopped if she went in on her own without reason. With a little unwitting help, however…
Eyes landing on a boy—not much older than she, unassuming, and dressed as though he might well be affiliated with the place—she made her choice, and turned heel in that direction, adding a limp to her step as she did.
“Oh—aye! You there, d’you…d’you happen to…” She swallowed, casting a fleeting, nervous glance over her shoulder before progressing closer and gritting her teeth to ‘bite back’ a wince as she did. “D’you work ‘ere…?”

Focused on his reading, it took an extra moment to take notice that he was being spoken to. He looked up at what seemed to be a rather roughed up young man approaching him.. and limping? Brow knitting, he looked over at the clinic and back to the Yealian. Buy, right? Or girl... No. Boy. The kid looked more like a good cleaning would be better than a healing, but a street brat in need was still in need. "I do, but I'm not working at this moment," he replied flatly, eyes falling back to his book. "Go on inside if you need assistance. Someone on shift will tend to you shortly." It wasn't that he wasn't concerned for the limping boy... he had his priorities though. The boy didn't seem to be dying, so he could surely find one of the healers working to help.
