Nine fluffy tails danced in the wind as she skipped from rooftop to rooftop and piercing cyan eyes scanned the streets bellow as she moved. Now out of her cast, Zhou was once again able to patrol --- be it with her healing arm tucked in the cross section of her Kimono as her right sleeve hung loosely off her shoulder. She knew it was risky to patrol with an injury but it was one she was willing to take.
Though she was not actively looking for a fight she was prepared --- being a Senshi with ranged attacks meant she avoided hand to hand combat and as long as she could create her hand signals to summon her magic even running across a youma would not prove to be too big of an issue.
Tonight was a night dedicated to regaining her footing and stretching muscles that had been all too still as she recovered.
She had truly missed powering up, she had missed patrolling, she had missed the feeling of the wind in her hair as she moved faster than she ever thought she could. Zhou felt as if she was flying and her heart swelled with joy. She was born to be a Magical Girl and returning to her civilian life, be it only for a few weeks, had been very sad.
Then she felt an aura nearby, that nagging recognition that forced her to look over to her side --- to see another Senshi like herself moving at a similar speed. Bouncing to the side of her rooftop she glided over to follow the path of the white-haired senshi. "Hey! --- I did not know this area had a Senshi guarding it! Wait up!" She called, braid bouncing behind her as she took large strides to keep up.

Spandex sucked.
Kavinsky - no, Icarus, he had to remind himself - did not understand why this magical uniform of his had insisted on spandex of all things. It wasn't particularly uncomfortable. No, that wasn't true, it was weird and too stretchy and he was constantly worried about the little bottom part of his weird tunic thing was covering enough.
Did the magical girl gods hate him or something?
Still, it was a better alternative to walking home; going powered up that was. It allowed him to tap into an enhanced agility and sometimes, the analytical science side of his brain, he wondered about the mechanics. Was it some general magical power boost or was this senshi business just allowing him to access the full, or close to, potential of his own body.
Unfortunately he didn't get to contemplate it much because some one was screaming at him. Well, screaming wasn't the right word but it was annoying and therefore Icarus didn't respond.
"Not interested, thanks!"

Bounce.
Bounce.
Bounce.
The material and adornments of Zhou's fuku danced like a dress that was more suited for ceremony than battle --- but luckily she had just about managed to stop tripping over her own tails as she ran. Just about. Despite the tight obi that clenched her waist to the point of being uncomfortable and the heeled sandals that made balancing hard --- she just about managed to keep up with the more streamlined and aerodynamic male Senshi.
"I just trying to introduce myself --- I am Zhou Yi!" She was being persistent in her mission to meet as many Order aligned magi as she could, alliances needed to be forged, friendships needed to be made --- She was not letting this one's anti-social nature put her off that most noble of quests! "What's your name?" She called after him as she picked up speed in hopes of catching him.
She would follow him home if she had to.

Icarus didn't have to look at the weirdly dressed shaman looking girl to know that she was not the type of person he wanted to associate with. He could only see her out of the corner of his vision but he could see that she was literally bouncing with energy.
Annoying.
"Not interested," he snapped, head twisting back just enough so that she could see the narrowed glare shot her way. Despite himself, Icarus did hear her name.
Zhou Yi. Ridiculous.
At least his sounded cool, Greek mythology was cool. Even if the Greek's Icarus had been a moron. He tried to pick up his pace, to out run her and maybe disappear around a corner. "Go away."

"No." Was her answer to his request --- she was not going anywhere besides in his direction.
Zhou Yi wanted to stretch her legs and chasing after this unwilling companion was a great way to push herself. He was fast but they both seemed pretty evenly matched when it came to speed. "Why so anti-social? We are on the same side you know!" She called after him, her voice strained by slight panting.
"We are meant to stick together." She started to feel the burn in her thighs as she moved but did all she could to power through the nagging pain.
Icarus turned a corner and she followed, cyan eyes turning sharply so not to lose him.

Icarus was almost baffled by her response to his desire for her to leave. No. She told him no and he couldn't believe it. It made him stumble, which in turn allowed her to catch up to him enough that whatever lead he'd had was lost.
s**t.
He stopped suddenly, breathed in deeply and turned to face her with his best "b***h face glare". Considering his resting face was pretty mean, this look probably scared children when thrown their way.
"We're not on the same anything. I don't give a s**t that you think we're supposed to," he paused to do a terrible impression of her own voice, "'stick together'. I'm not interested. Get lost."

Zhou Yi was not expecting him to stop and almost carried on running straight past him. She stumbled forwards a few steps before curling over, putting her good hand on her knee for stability.
She felt like she was going to hack up a lung.
She took in some deep breaths, stood up straight, composed herself and then turned around --- to see him glaring at her with enough intensity to send a cold shiver down her spine.
He spoke and she just looked up at him, wide-eyed with a confused expression. She tilted her head to the side and the short layers of hair that made up her 'ears' flopped. Feline and innocent Zhou was in stark contrast to the moody male that towered her.
She freed her arm from her makeshift sling - held her hands together, took in a deep breathe and then bowed as low as she could in an all too formal Japanese greeting.
"My name is Zhou Yi, Sailor Guardian of the Sesshoseki --- Please accept my offer of alliance!"

He should have known this whole sailor scout business had been a trap. Had he not powered up, maybe this pesky chick wouldn't be harassing him. Unfortunately, it wasn't like he could just stop being Icarus and go back to being Kavinsky.
If he thought she was annoying when they were senshi, surely she would be more annoying if she knew who he really was.
And, damn the girl didn't know when to back down and the mean look on his face only got meaner, definitely twisting into a nasty scowl than a cold stare.
He didn't say anything as she did her weird bow thing, instead crossed his arms and glared at her. Maybe if he just didn't say anything and looked really hostile or mean, she'd eventually leave him alone.

She waited for a response.
And waited.
After a few moments of nothing but silence she opened one of her bright eyes and looked up towards the man to see if he was still there --- peeking when she was not supposed to. On catching his gaze her head turned back downwards, bowing lower like a child who was being scolded.
"PLEASE ACCEPT MY OFFER OF ALLIANCE! SATSUMA-SENPAI!"
If he would not give her a name --- She would give him one.

Normally, his whole posture and cold look was enough to make anyone tuck their tail between their legs and stalk off. OR it would result in a fist fight, which he highly doubted would happen with the redhead who couldn't seem to take a hint.
Except there was no hinting.
Icarus had plainly told her that he wanted nothing to do with her and yet, here she was still bowing weirdly. And then there she was calling him weird names. His b***h face facade fell briefly as his white brows shot up in reply, but it was back as quickly as it had fizzled and he clamped his jaw shut to keep from asking, what the hell is a satsuma-senmpai?
No, he was going to stand by his resolve and say absolutely nothing back to her. If he she looked up, he was going to give a cold, slow shake of his head.
Not today Zhou Yi, not today.

Zhou's eyes rose once more. Large cyan orbs catching his gaze.
The redhead did not move. Her fingers remained laced together, hidden under long layers of white fabric. Her tails pooled around her legs. Her long braid swung side to side in the wind.
He was glaring daggers down at her but his harsh eyes were met with large blue pools of innocence ---- Puppy dog eyes. She hoped to get some reaction from him.
"Hmmmm?" It was almost a whimper.

Zhou Yi would quickly learn that Icarus was immune to the infamous puppy dog pout. It didn't even make him bat and eye as he stared down at her disapprovingly. If anything, it served to set his frown deeper if that were even possible.
Icarus wondered how long the girl would insist on trying to win his companionship, or approval. He was still having difficulties with comprehending why she would even want it with how he was treating her.
So, still tightly lipped, the russian boy stepped back hoping to inch subtly away from her. Maybe she'd look down again and he could just run far enough away to escape her.
Would this be a good time to test his magic? Or would that be rude, he wasn't sure what it did yet and he wasn't the type of guy to hit a girl unless she hit first.

What did she want his companionship?
The answer to that was simple --- Zhou Yi wanted to befriend all the order Senshi! She wanted to find the comfort that came with not being alone in all this chaos. Icarus being so difficult just made her want to try harder to get on his good side.
If he was being that way with her she doubted he had anybody looking out for him at all.
It was not safe to go alone!
He stepped back and without her gaze faltering she stepped forward after him to keep the same distance between them.
She was not going to give up on him.

Icarus didn't know what he expected but for some reason it wasn't the obvious reaction that Zhou Yi displayed when he stepped away from her. Of course she stepped towards him. Running his tongue along his teeth then pressing it against his cheek he considered his options.
There was enough of a stretch of alley behind them that he could probably keep moving away from her.
Yes, that sounded like the best option. Surely she couldn't chase him forever right?
So, warily Icarus began quickly moving back, away from his fellow senshi.
