Umbra has a very keen mental awareness about her, and she is quick to learn and latch onto things that she is interested in. However, if there is something that Umbra doesn’t fully understand she tends to get left behind in the study of a subject because she has no idea where she went wrong and that can lead to more and more confusion that piles up and leaves her far behind in her study. Likewise, if Umbra finds something rather uninteresting or not to her liking then she doesn’t pick things up as quickly or as fully as some other people do.

Personality
Umbra is a rather quiet individual who doesn’t try to stand out or draw attention to herself when she can help it and instead prefers a life of solitude over companionship. This is not to say that she is entirely anti-social, but she is very slow to make friends and let those people into her world. When this does happen though, she is faithful friend and will stick by you through thick and thin. It should be noted that although overall, Umbra is a good kid but she does have a vengeful streak as wide as Susanoo’s stride. When she feels slighted or wrong in anyway it will take a lot to earn her forgiveness – if you can earn it back at all. Umbra’s someone who tries to put a lot of pride in her work and can throw herself into things that catch her interest with a fiery passion. Unfortunately these moments of fiery passion can flare out very quickly if the item or subject in question doesn’t hold her interest or she feels that she can learn no more. Umbra is a rather hedonistic creature; she finds thrills and sensations that please her in almost everything that she does –which, secretly, includes combat as well. Umbra is quite adaptable to new environments and situations that will likely serve her well as a shinobi and had allowed her a level of independence.

Umbra is a very introverted child who likes her solitude and quiet places. She recharges her mental batteries in situations where there is little to no noise and few, if any, people to bother her with random nonsense or mindless talking.
Umbra has long associated Scorpions with her spirit guide has taken a lot of interest in them.
Umbra has a bit of a hedonistic attitude when it comes to pampering herself. She loves the finer things in life and tends to spoil herself when she gets the chance.
Umbra loves the rain and especially thunderstorms, the rain falling against the windows is so soothing and the lightning is always fun to watch. She associates the fresh smell after the rain with better memories of her time with her parents.

Those stupid mandatory Kounichi classes… I mean seriously! Why don’t the boys have to suffer through their own version of arranging stupid flowers and what not?
Bitter foods really turn Umbra off, she tends to avoid bitter foods like the plague and if absolutely necessary then she will mix as much sweet things as possible to balance out the bitterness.
Umbra hates being in crowded, loud places. Being an introvert she finds these places rather draining and uncomfortable to be around for long periods of time.
Umbra hates the cold, she’d rather hibernate for the cold, wintery months rather than go out and have to do her ninja training.

Umbra is quite the dancer for her age. She loves the flow and swiftness of movements of the Tango, the intimate flow of the waltz, the grace of ballet and the energy of the freestyle form of dancing. She loves it all, and the quickest way to win her over is to be able to keep up with her dancing abilities.
Umbra is learning to cook and has some admirable mending skills for her age that she uses to repair any clothes that get torn or otherwise damaged during her training. She tends to help her Aunty out whenever possible so these skills built up quiet quickly.

A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. Wood Release: Nativity of World Trees

A technique developed by Hashirama Senju, where the user forces trees to grow on any surface, easily creating a dense forest anywhere they choose. A small plant can grow into a forest in an instant. By generating chakra, the user manoeuvres it as they see fit for attack and defence; and furthermore, this omnipotent technique even allows them to capture the enemy at the same time. With their tremendous life force, the trees can pierce through earthen walls, and extend their branches at their prey in an instant. Even stating that Konohagakure wouldn't have been established without this technique wouldn't be an exaggeration.
Wood release: Clone technique

A clone that is created by using chakra to alter the user's own cells into vegetation. The clones can be as simple in function as a wooden dummy for use in the Body Replacement Technique or completely mobile and able to perform jutsu. They have the ability to travel far from the user and are able to communicate with the original. Moreover, since the wood clone has the ability to merge with plants and trees, it is also great for reconnaissance missions.[5] By directly touching the wood clone with his hand, the user can change the shape of the clone.
Unlike other clone techniques, the wood clone doesn't disappear when hit and takes the damage to a certain degree. This, according to Madara Uchiha, makes it the perfect clone technique that only he with his dōjutsu was able to see through. Wood clones are also somewhat inhibited by the actions of the user, so if they are preoccupied with other tasks the wood clones will not be able to act to their full potential. Wood clones can, however, be dispelled like normal clones.

Nori Akiyama (Aunt Figure) Nori is the adopted mother figure of Umbra, sweet and compassionate she has seen Umbra as a blessing as she isn’t able to have children herself.
Daichi Akiyama (Uncle figure) Daichi is someone who is both a respectable man and capable leader with a level head, he was the man who rescued Umbra from the Corruption and smuggled her into the Village hidden in the Clouds. A cunning and strategic man, he has become somewhat softened with the arrival of Umbra and has taken a lot of pride as her father figure.
History
Umbra was born in the village hidden in the Leafs to a very loving couple who both had jobs with the Shinobi forces. Umbra was a lucky child who lived with little in the way of want or need – spare perhaps more time with her parents who were often sent on missions to help the village. They would always take turns looking after their daughter but it was still something that kind of tugged at Umbra in her youth. When she was six years old, the corruption spread throughout the area and was quickly starting to devoured the landscape. The crises that the Corruption brought with it meant that there was an increase in mission to try and find out what was going on and hopefully how it could be stopped. It was during this time that Umbra was seeing less and less of her parents and Umbra was getting more and more desperate to spend time with parents that she missed terribly. One day, while her parents were both on a mission into the corruption, Umbra followed them inside. It would be a selfish decision that would change her world forever and pave the way towards a destiny that would touch the lives of many.
In the Village hidden in the Clouds, a Jonin was sent out with his own squad in order to try and figure out what was going on. Daichi was actually a fill in for another Jonin who had to leave suddenly on another mission and it was during this expedition into the Corruption that he happened to come across a three man squad who had been killed by the creatures of the Corruption. Among these bodies was a crying child who seemed to have ventured into the hellish nightmare, he was told by his superior to leave the child but Daichi just didn’t have the heart to leave a child in such a place to die. So it was that he took the Umbra with him back to the village with him where he would raise her as his own. Getting Umbra into the village itself wasn’t going to be easy, but with a few brides to silence lips and a few favours both pulled and bargained, he was able to bring her home. By forged documents, Umbra was his niece to avoid suspicion and wrath of the Raikage who was not likely going to welcome another mouth in the village to feed.
Umbra was having a hard time adjusting at first, but the mothering instinct that Nori possessed was quick to win over Umbra who was missing her own mother. Slowly, the pair brought Umbra out of her shell and within a few months she was a part of the family. The bond between Daichi and Umbra was a special one and Nori’s relationship with her was growing steadily as months passed. Eventually, Umbra saw them as her family and started to have a need to make them proud, she started helping around the house with Nori and the stories that Daichi told her before bed fueled her want to be a ninja, just like her Uncle. Nori and Daichi had always been open about Umbra being from another village, but Daichi didn’t know which one and Umbra was too young to really be of any help figuring it out. Eventually they all seemed to give up for the time being and focused on being a family.
It’s been two years sense Umbra was adopted into the family and the influence of her parental figures has started to shape her into a fine young woman. Now enrolled in the academy, she is studying to learn how to become a shinobi just like Daichi. Naturally Daichi and Nori are worried about her well-being, but at the same time they are both very proud of her. Daichi is even going so far as to help her with her homework and assignments whenever he can. She has become the apple of her Aunty and Uncle’s eye and they have more than become a family with a strong bond.
Now, Umbra feels the need to get stronger so that she can protect her new family. Even though she is a student of the Land of Lightning, she still very much is a daughter of the Will of Fire.

Umbra possesses a necklace with what looks to be some sort of jade as its centerpiece. The necklace doesn’t appear to be anything special but it was her birthmoms when she was still alive. It’s something that Umbra has cherished all these years.
