So it was settled. Her parents had called Perenna's parents and they had gotten the go ahead to come over to one another's houses! She was thoroughly excited and had done her best to clean up her room and some of the house. Not that it had been messy to begin with. She was just nervous. They had decided to come to her house first since her bird could travel and her cat wasn't exactly the best at it. She wondered if she was going to bring Beau with her today. She was anxious to meet the little guy! Checking the time she couldn't help but pace because she knew that Perenna would be here any minute but it seemed like it was taking forever! Taking in a deep breath she did her best to calm down. She'd had others over before.. Right? She thought back on the last time she'd had someone over and then frowned. Nope. Perenna was the first. ATheart You Avi is adorable, second. She looks so stinking cute in that Rainbow Bright Costume!!!

Perenna sat in the back seat of her mother's car, cuddling Beau's cage. The little bird was quiet and looking around, interested in everything around him, but slightly withdrawn. "It's okay, Beau. We'll be out of the car soon. Then you'll get two new friends." Beau tilted his head to the side and just looked at Perenna, making her giggle.
The car soon rolled to a stop to where Nadia lived, assuming that her mother got the address right in the GPS. Perenna put Beau's cage to the side and hugged her mom's neck. "Thank you Mommy. I'll see you in a couple of hours?" Her mother nodded in agreement, so Perenna opened her door and slowly moved Beau's cage out. She looked back and waved, knowing her mom would watch her until she was inside the correct house.
She walked carefully up to the door and put down Beau's cage before she rang the door bell. "This should be the right house, Beau." Perenna picked up the cage again, just in case.AstoriaFallen (( TY on both accounts 8D! ))

She was fidgeting too much and Orion came up to her and rubbed against her leg affectionately. Reaching down she picked up the young cat and held her to her chest, the black and white feline purring as she pet her. Finally the doorbell rang and she almost jumped she was so startled but quickly swallowed and gave Orion a smile. "This is Her! At least I hope it is." She said setting her furry feline companion on the ground. Walking briskly to the door she took in a deep breath and let it out. This was going to be fine! She had already met her so it wasn't like this was any different from the other day. Still, she was having someone in her house. Shaking her head she took one more breath, put a smile on her face, and opened the door. Blinking for a moment as the sunlight nearly blinded her she finally made out the form of her new friend. "Perenna! I'm glad you could make it." She said happily as she gazed down to the cage she held. "Is that Beau!?" She said excitedly and then opened the door welcoming them both in. "Please, come inside."

When the door opened, Beau fluttered in his cage, slightly startled by the noise. "It's okay," Perenna cooed at her beloved. She looked up to see Nadia and smiled. "Thank you again for inviting us over, Nadia. Sorry we're a bit late. My mom was driving around making sure she found the right address."
Perenna smiled. "Yes this is Beau!" The bird looked around at his new surroundings and they both noticed the kitty a little ways from the door. "Ohh and that must be Orion."
She carefully stepped through the door and put Beau and his cage to the side. "Do I remove my shoes or keep them on?" Perenna was accustomed to taking her shoes off at home and so did guests, but she knew other families did that differently. "Has Orion ever met a pet bird? I can't say Beau's met a cat before..."

ATh e a r t Your avi's are totally cute. Plus I love the color combination, one of my favorites <3 She couldn't help but aww towards Beau. "Don't worry about it, It's always good to be sure around here." She said with a smile as she welcomed them in and shut the door behind them. "It's nice to meet you Beau." She said bending over a little to look at him better. "He's a handsome fella." Her attention turned towards her fur ball down the hall, "Yes, that be her highness Orion." Flicking her fingers together she hoped she'd come closer. She was standoffish sometimes. "Oh, you can take them off here." She said motioning to the spot where some of her own shoes were placed. "Besides bird watching out the window, I'm going to have to say no. But she's met other animals and adjusted just fine to them. Plus she's young still." She said with a nod of her head. Orion finally came within grasp of her to reach out and snag her up and she cuddled the cat in her arms. "Orion says hello." She said taking one of her paws and waving it for Orion.

Once the door was shut, Perenna slipped off her shoes and bent over Beau's cage. "He has his wings clipped, just in case. I mean, he's a really good bird, but I'm afraid of losing him so it has to be done." Perenna knew her parents were more afraid than she was. If Beau were ever missing, she'd be balling for days.
Perenna smiled as she watched Nadia pick up Orion and give her a wave. She was careful to let the cat sniff her hand first and was happy that the cat seemed okay with her company. "Now... Let's see how she reacts to Beau."
The cage was picked up again slowly. Beau was fidgeting around his cage, aware of the cat, but not knowing what it would do. Perenna watched as the bird cautiously approached the cat and the cat, in turn, inspected the bird cage. "Hopefully, this will be a good play date for them..."

She gave a nod of her head. She had heard of clipping wings before but had never actually seen it in person. "Oh, that would be scary if he flew away." She said imagining how that would feel. Orion had got out of the house once and she just about had a heart attack. Beau would have a much greater range than her feline though. Watching as she picked up the cage so the two of them could inspect one another. Nadia watched Orion and the feline seemed interested in the bird, but more out of curiosity and not out of the want to hunt him. "We can go up to my room and you can let him out if you want?" She asked her curiously. It would be a smaller space to work with.

Perenna was relieved to see that Orion seemed okay with Beau. She was afraid that most cats would want to hurt him, but maybe she was wrong? It's not like Beau or Perenna had very many interactions with cats. Well, minus the ones that Perenna would scare off when she found one attacking a bird.
"Ohh! That probably would be better!" Perenna wasn't so much worried about losing Beau in the house than Beau being comfortable. "It might be easier to get him situated in one room rather than the whole house."
She smiled at Nadia and Orion before lowering Beau's cage. "Lead the way, Nadia!"

ATh e a r t Sorry it took so long! <3 <3 <3 She was fairly certain this was more of a curious gathering than a hunting one, just by watching her feline companion she didn't pick up anything strange about her behavior that would make her want to keep Beau in his cage. She really did want to hold him and see how soft his feathers were though. "Right this way." She said with a beaming smile as she lead them up the stairs, Orion in toe as she took her to her room. Coming to a door decorated with paw prints it was clear to see it was her room. "Here we are, welcome to my little slice of heaven." She opened the door to allow her new friend entrance first. It wasn't exactly large but it wasn't small either, and it was fairly uncluttered for a girl her age. Books littered a couple of shelves and a small futon lay against the wall opposite a twin bed. A couple of necessities were apparent in the room but it wasn't decorated like you'd think for most teenagers. Just simple. "You can set his cage on the desk there if you like." She pointed towards her study table.

Perenna followed Nadia up the stairs, not surprised that the door they stopped at had paw prints on it. She didn't decorate her own door with paw prints, but she had pictures of birds that she had seen over the years. Her parents had helped her take pictures and print them, which was pretty cool. The best one was where they were in an aviary and a parrot actually landed on her. One of the bird handlers had let her and her parents take a picture with it before it flew away. She definitely had to show Nadia that eventually.
When she stepped into the room in front of Nadia and placed Beau and his cage onto the indicated table. "Is Orion okay if the door is closed?" She didn't know how well a cat would do confined to one room. "I just don't want it to be too difficult to get Beau back in his cage."

She watched as Perenna looked about her room, there wasn't much in it but it did its purpose. "Yea, she'll be fine." She said with a smile as she walked over and closed the door so that she could let Beau out without him flying downstairs or anything. The cat watched the bird in the cage curiously but didn't pay it too much interest beyond that and walked over to Perenna and rubbed against her leg with a purr thrumming in her throat. "I think she likes you." Nadia said as she watched her companion rub against Perennas leg.

Perenna was happy that the kitty was happy. She bent down to scratch it under her chin and patting its head before paying attention to the cage once again. Beau seemed excited to get out. He probably wasn't sure about the people and cat, though.
She slowly reached in her hand and let Beau hop onto her finger. Slowly, she pulled out both her hand and Beau, making sure Beau wasn't going to go crazy right off the bat. "Phew. At least he's not anxious."
Perenna brought her hand slowly closer to Orion. She could tell Beau was curious enough, but Perenna waited and watched Orion, just in case she'd need to pull Beau back. "Hmm..."

Everyone seemed to be calm and enjoying themselves, which was good. Orion was interesting but at the same time uninterested in the bird. As Perenna's hand grew closer to the feline she stretched forward her head a little, her nose twitching slightly as she smelled the feathered creature. Satisfied she pulled her head away and sat down and gave a small yawn. "Well, it seems like that was about all Orion is going to do." She gave a small laugh at her cat. Looking over towards the bird on Perenna's hand she gave the top of Orions head a small scratch. "Do you think I could hold him?" She asked hopeful.

Perenna didn't realize she had been holding her breath until she slowly let out the air in her mouth. "That's good then!" She went and gave Orion some scratches under her chin. "Beau meat Orion. Orion meat Beau!"
"She's a much better kitty than the ones I've noticed around my neighborhood." Maybe those furbabies just needed better owners. Those kitties wouldn't give a second thought to attacking Beau if they had the chance.
She went to get Nadia's hand. "Of course you can. Just point out your finger like this..." Perenna moved Nadia's finger so Beau would have somewhere to hop to.

She was pleased to see the two of them getting alone so well. Not that she had any real doubts, Orion was always pretty chill around other animals. "Most indoor/outdoor cats do a lot of hunting so that's kinda normal for those types of felines." Though she was sure a lot of indoor cats were the same way, Orion was just kinda, lazy? She wasn't sure if that was the right term for her. She listened as she explained how to get Beau to go onto her fingers. "Okay, like this?" She said doing what Perenna explained to her and slowly held out her fingers.
