Emelia waited patiently at the local cafe that she had agreed to meet a certain someone at. Having met them online through a seeking imbueing partners site, Emelia had finally found someone who both wasn't creepy and actually genuinely interested in having kids now. Now, the hard part was meet in person.
Sure, they had emailed back and forth throughout the weeks, but Emelia was not a very social person. It would shock anyone in her family if they knew she actually brought in a lost Naiad into her home a few months back. Not only that, but Emelia was dating said Naiad. NOT ONLY THAT, but she was madly, stupidly, almost impossibly in-love with this particular Naiad.
Which brought her to this moment. Levi had mentioned wanting kids for quite some time, but she was afraid if her controlling parents ever came to the surface they'd lose their lid even more if they saw a kid with her markings and coloration. So, Emelia had decided she'd be the one to provide. Sure, she never thought she'd imbue a stone. She didn't have the best of personalities and she was pretty sure no one would find her appealing enough to want a mini version of her, but Levi was going to get what she wanted. Levi always got what she wanted, even if she didn't ask for it.
So, here she was, patiently waiting with a iced coffee in hand. She had chosen the table outside, enjoying the cool weather and waiting for the person she had only recently begun to know to arrive.

This wasn't exactly what Chenoa had in mind when she had decided that she really wanted to have children. All the same, she couldn't help being excited to meet her -- hopefully -- imbuing partner. They hadn't been talking long, but she had quite enjoyed the online relationship she had begun to build with Emelia. They got to the point where they wanted to meet, so this was the happening of it!
Chenoa stopped on the sidewalk, peering down at the phone in her hold as she consulted the GPS she had been using to find the meeting place to where they, well, agreed to meet up! It was in a part of town the hybrid wasn't totally in the know of, but she'd passed through now and again. "Ahhah!" she let out as she noted that she was only a couple minutes from the coffee shop where she was going to meet her friend.
As the cafe came into view, Chenoa had to stop for a moment and take a breath. Nerves were there and they were starting to play games with her. Mostly in the way of her stomach flip-flopping. But all that changed when she saw the familiar face belonging to a body sitting at a table. Funny that it was how she thought of things, but it was her! Able to find her smile once again, the hybrid made her way toward Emelia and waved. "Hello there! At last we meet. Mind if I go get a tea before we sit and talk together?"

There she was.
The second Emmi's eyes locked on Chenoa her heart skipped. This was the person who would change her life forever. This was the person that was about to embark on a journey with Emelia. The second Chenoa waved Emelia clumsily stood up, giving a short wave. Their cheeks heated at the encounter, eyes flicking away as they mentally chastised themselves. Come on, Emelia, don't make a fool of yourself! Chenoa already agreed to meeting her, that meant she must have something desirable when it came to imbueing stones, right?
"Yes, of course. I'll be right here." Ah, at least her words weren't as jumbled as she thought they'd be!

Chenoa found relief in knowing that her friend had nerves about her, too, over meeting! Made Emelia seem more real and relatable... even more so than over the internet!
She gave a grateful nod at the allowance to get tea, quickly going in to place and receive her order. It was nice they worked so fast! It allowed her to get back to the one she was here to see faster!
Cup in hand, the hybrid came back to the table with Emelia and beamed happily, albeit still a little nervous. "It's so good to finally see you! I've been so nervous and excited since we talked about it!" Chenoa leaned down, giving her friend a hug about the shoulders. Even thought they were just meeting in person for the first time, she still new her!

When Chenoa left Emmi flopped into her seat, head throw back and a loud sigh escaping her. Oh man she had botched that! Good going, idiot! When Chenoa returned she immediately stood up once more. The hug was alarming, though she quickly warmed to it. Weeks of experiencing just how friendly Leviathan was had grown her accustomed to touching, luckily.
"It's good to see you, too." She admitted, a soft and unpracticed smile touching her features. "What did you get?" She asked in an attempt to converse, nodding towards Chenoa's cup curiously.

The surprise of the hug she placed on her friend made the woman worry some, but as it was accepted, much of her anxiety over this all just melted away. It felt so good to be accepted in person. It was so easy to 'get to know' someone online, but to have that carry over with a positive vibe just made it all the more reassuring.
She took the seat across the way from Emelia and beamed. "It's some sort of special concoction they have going on for a 'limited time'" she offered in reply with an amused tone before taking a sip. Though, the look on her face was a bit... well... let's just say the tea was exactly what she was expecting and yet not at the same time. "It's interesting to say the least" she said with a laugh.
"I hope I didn't make you wait long, Emelia! I got a little lost on the way." Ahhahaha... oops.

At the gesture Emmi settled into her seat, returning her hand to her coffee to take a brief sip. Watching Chenoa from the safety of her cup, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the expression Chenoa made. She was expressive. A lot more then Emelia was. It was nice, honestly. Emmi didn't need to worry about what the other one was thinking, it seemed, as her questions would easily be answered.
"Oh, no, it's fine. I didn't mind at all." Pause. Wait. "I mean-! I wasn't waiting for long." Flushing, the hybrid looked away, plucking nervously at her hoodie before returning her gaze back to Chenoa.
"Was it too far? Next time I'll plan better." Next time? How.... presumptuous! Oh god Emelia, here you go again, ruining everything.

Finishing settling into the seat -- with a little wiggle to adjust herself towards the middle a bit more -- Chenoa couldn't help the smile on her face. She was greatly amused by what just happened with the tea, and frankly, just so happy to be there!
She let out another laugh as Emelia stumbled over her tongue a bit. "Nah! I actually come through this area a good bit. I am just a little directionally challenged I guess you could say." Which was her way of sugar-coating the fact she got lost quite often.
Now Chenoa wasn't one to do a lot of small talk, it always seemed more awkward over just getting down to brass tacks! "So your lady is cool with this, right? With you imbuing with someone else?" That was a little more straight forward than she meant to be. Gosh dang. "Sorry if that's a little more... 'hi hello!'... I can be like that sometimes." The expression that graced her face was a mix of embarrassment and amusement, paired with a sheepish giggle as she scratched at her cheek with her free hand.

'So your lady is cool with this, right?'
Instantly, Emelia nodded, eyes lighting up at the chance to talk about Levi.
"She's fine with it." She promised, hands lowering her cup to set it back on the table. "She doesn't want to imbue herself because of the kids looking like her, which can complicate.... things back home." Flicking her eyes to the cup to distract herself, Emelia offered a hesitant smile, head shaking another time.
"It's fine. I'm not elegant with words myself, so it's refreshing." Her eyes drifted to Chenoa, offering an encouraging smile. Well, as encouraging as a nervous Emelia could do!

The smile that brightened the face across from her, just made Chenoa beam all the more. Though, she couldn't help feeling bad for whatever complications could be caused by someone wanted to have their own kids. It was enough to almost make her tear up! She just couldn't imagine!
"I'm so sorry about that, but hey!... We'll get you two your kiddos!" Yes! Her mind was so made up now! She wanted to help these two have their babies! Letting go of her hold on her cup, she reached across the way and enveloped her friend's hands in her own. "I know I'm game even more now if you still are, Emelia!"
This... This is why they were both here. The woman couldn't think of anything she'd want more than to help her friend and her friend's woman have the family they want!

Emelia wasn't too great with reading emotions, but that expression Chenoa held almost looked sad. Had she said something wrong? About to apologize, she was instead surprised by her hands being enveloped by the others, her eyes drifting down to look at their hands. Shifting her hands, she managed to place one of her own over the others, nodding softly.
"I'd love to." She admitted, looking up with a relieved smile. "I'm really grateful, thank you. I was worried this would never happen. Thank you." Images of Leviathan playing with tiny ones filled her brain, causing her cheeks to heat a darker green. Levi would be beyond happy. Not just that, but she'd finally be a mother. She had no doubt Levi would be amazing at it, even if Levi was still adjusting to the surface world.

"Good!" Chenoa said excitedly. "Is it weird that I am so excited for this?!" she asked as her clawed hands gave a squeeze to her friend's in their hold. "Because I totally am!" She gave Emelia's hands one more squeeze before letting them go slowly and returning her own to the cup before her. To which her mind kind of wondered by what miracle she hadn't knocked it over!
"I think you are going to be an amazing mom!" and she really did! Just in the little time they spent together in person, she could see concern, caring, and just an overall amazing person in the woman before her.
Taking in a deep breath, Chenoa let out a contented sigh. She was so happy right now. And then the hybrid took a sip of her tea again, that look on her face once again. "Errr... Well.. Now that we've settled the big matter of things, I think I need to take care of this!" she said, laughing as she stood. "I'll grab you a cookie while I'm inside and when I get back, you can tell me more about your lady, kay?~" Smiling from ear to ear, Chenoa took up her cup "I will be right back!" and made her way back inside the cafe. she wanted to stay and talk more, but she simply could not put up with this cup of tea anymore!

Emelia shook her head at the first question, letting loose a soft laugh as Chenoa admitted how excited they were and squeezed her hands. Chenoa was almost exactly the same as she was online; bubbly, forward, and friendly.
The mention of her being a good mom sent another blush on her face, eyes watching Chenoa stand to take care of her tea, grateful for the distraction. Would she be a good mom? It wasn't exactly like she had the best reference to go off of, but she was positive she'd figure it out. Levi would be beside her, and Chenoa.... she'd be there, too. She wasn't alone in this.
"Thank you." She called to the comment about a cookie, returning to watching her cup when Chenoa left. Her nerves had finally settled enough for her to actually smile, relief washing over her.
It was happening. It was really happening. She did it.
