With a pack slung over his shoulder, Shea walked and stared at the ground in front of his feet. He'd lost his mother only a few weeks ago and that loneliness was still all around him. Since he and his mother had always moved from place to place searching for his Uncle he had never gotten to make friends. That left Shea without anyone to comfort him during his loss or to even help him bury his mom. Now he was on the road once more, continuing the search that his mother was unable to complete.
He was determined to find his Uncle Uquin. When he did he planned on dragging the man by his ears to where his mother lay at rest. He wanted Uquin to see the results of his selfishness.
Wearing a frown and looking at the grass and dirt that passed by as though they had offended him, the boy mumbled under his breath. His left hand went up to run fingers through his hair until the stopped at the messy bun then it dropped back down to his side. Shea felt like he should be doing something but there was nothing to do except walk.

Barihn had wandered out away from his treehouse for the time being, hoping to get out more to see some of the creatures farther out. He hadn't been away from his home in quite some time and was curious to see just what he would encounter! Apparently from the looks of it he was going to encounter a boy! How wonderful! "Hiiiiiiiii~" Barihn drawled out, waving slowly at him. "How are you today?" he continued on in the same soft and slow voice.

He hadn't been paying much attention to anything until he heard the welcome in a drawl. Shea looked up and stopped when he noticed there was another person in front of him. "Uh, hey." He greeted back. The boy did his best to keep his frown from making him look as though he was angry. "Honestly? A little annoyed. I'm looking for someone and it's like they don't want to be found." Which could very well be the case.
And if it was then when he saw his Uncle he was going to bash his head in with a rock. Shea didn't like having to walk all over Tale in search of someone that caused his family so much grief.

"Ohhhhh.Thaat's no fuuuun. Maaaaybe.....maybe they're hiding? Or maybe not. Hm. Do you have information on where they are at all?" The leafling questioned, tilting his head as he spoke. Barihn chewed on his lip as he spoke, trying to think of some way to help the lad. He seemed angry. Maybe angry at him? Maybe angry at the person? "I can help! Maaaaybe. Potentially...."

It wouldn't surprise him to find out that his uncle was hiding. Though it would annoy him like nothing else could. Shea thought for a moment then shook his head slightly. "Not really. I just know he's an old leaf guy named Uquin." So he more or less had to find information, which was usually days old, on whether or not any locals had crossed paths with a man fitting his description. "I guess I sorta look like him too. He's my uncle, so.." A family resemblance was a given.
As the guy offered to help, sorta, Shea found himself looking questionably at him. "You know many people around here who could help?" Maybe he could get a hint as to which direction to go in.

"Sort of...well there's a tribe close by that could help you. I just...caaaan't go there. I could ask the forest or animals if they've seen anything maybe. Or see if I can track anything. If it would help. Though you might not think that's helpful," Barihn sighed, rubbing his face. He wanted to help the boy, but having limited resources at his disposal was always a problem. "Maaaybe I can show you to the village. Or at least help you get close to it. Your uncle might have gone through there." As long as no one saw him specifically he would be safe from their punishment.

He couldn't go to the village? Shea felt one of his brows slowly rise in question at that. "Should I ask why you can't go there?" There was a story there, he was sure, he just wasn't so sure that he wanted to know it. With a shake of his head he tried to take back that question. "Nope, don't tell me. I'm not sure I wanna know."
When the boy said he could ask the animals he wanted to bring his hand up and palm his forehead, though he did manage to resist the urge well enough. "Asking the spirits might get better results." Not that he had anything against the spirits, he just didn't hear them. Nor did he hear animals talking.

"Ohhhhhhh. Do you know some ghosts that could tell us? Are they in the area?" Barihn perked up at the mention of spirits, glancing around in excitement at the thought of meeting them. They would be way easier to interact with than his animal friends after all. He assumed they could even speak. It would all be so exciting! "Hello spirits I am Barihn, please show us where this guy's uncle is," he continued on, motioning towards Shea and waving his arms around.

Nope. Shea couldn't resist this time. He did a full on facepalm and groaned. "I was joking." Well at least now he knew that this guy would take him literal. That meant he would need to watch what he said less he wanted to deal with trying to explain things.
"Which way was the village?" Now he just wanted to be pointed in the right direction.

"Ah yes I shall show you!" Barihn smiled, completely forgetting about his search for the dead following them around. While he was a bit nervous to be heading so close to his old home, he refused to shy away from helping the other boy. If he got caught by anyone he would just have to hope for the best and try to explain himself. "So the last time I think the village was this way," he muttered to himself, wandering off in an oddly zigzagging direction.

Shea stared at the boy for a long, hard moment then just shook his head and dropped both hands to his sides. Leave it to him to find the weird ones. When Barihn started to walk away in a weaving pattern he grumbled under his breath but followed anyways. What else was he supposed to do? Let the boy wander off then run away and not look back? He just hoped the boy hadn't "lost" this village to the point he couldn't find it again.

"Soooooo....you don't know your uncle, right? But he looks like you? Do you have similar names? That would be very confusing," Barihn muttered the last part, turning back to the boy for a moment. "What is your name anyway? Is it a fancy name? Mine isn't fancy. It's just Barihn." His direction changed slightly, his instinct taking over the more he wandered in the forest. While he didn't seem the brightest, the boy was at the very least familiar with the area.

He shook his head at the question of knowing his uncle. Shea sure didn't. "Nope, my uncle ran away from home long before I was born." And thankfully he didn't share a name with the man. "HIs name is Uquin and mine is Shea. Nothing fancy." Heck his was one syllable.

"Shea. Sheeeeeeeaaaaaaa. Shea Shea," Barihn said, smiling as he formed the name in different ways. "I like it. Simple. Short. To the point. A strong name." Coming from him that probably didn't mean much all things considered, but he liked his name. He thought it was cute, but that was something he would keep to himself. "So why find this uncle if he took off?"

Well he had never really wanted to hear his name said so many times by the same person but there it was. When he mentioned Uquin again the youth shrugged his shoulders. "My mother spent her life searching for her brother.. She died some months ago and I intend to drag my uncle to her grave kicking and screaming." It was his uncles fault that she was dead after all.
