Fai knew he needed to get out and do more, he really did, but the last week whenever he tried to get out he got questioned by one sibling or another, sometimes more than one. It wasn’t like he couldn’t lie and get out of the house - he could. The problem was that he didn’t trust his sibling, or siblings, wouldn’t follow him and find out about his little, or not so little, secret and come to light. He didn’t want, or need, to try and explain being a senshi to his family. It would bring the rest of his local family into things and would risk his cousin also - he couldn’t allow that.
He had gotten out the house tonight without any incident, his siblings were all moving back to campus dorms and were thus busy, either at home or over at Destiny City university. It was a good time to go out, after telling his parents and younger sister that he was heading out. His parents weren’t as noisy nor was his little sister, the older ones were but that was due to them all being the sort to pick on each other and joke about in a good natured manner. They were close and being that he was also in university it meant he was part of that, so they liked to pester each other about who was going where all the time - always leading to questions or hints about boyfriends and girlfriends.
Stepping outside, his henshin pen in the pocket of his pants, Fai headed toward a nice place where he wouldn’t be seen when he powered up. Once he’d done so the senshi of kappa had taken to the roof tops of the city, his geta left where he’d powered up, as he took to traversing the city via rooftop. He didn’t sense anything but he knew, from his cousin, that his senses weren’t as sharp as someone with more power. He didn’t like that he was weaker, he didn’t like it because he felt a bit like a sitting duck, having potential enemies out there who could sense him before he could sense them - it didn’t sit well with him.
To remedy that though he needed to get out more and do more and just..gain power, like his cousin, he’d just have to fit it in and make it work. He’d have to handle his siblings somehow and their noisy habits. He could just tell them he was going out with Seung, as they knew he’d made friends with a South Korean immigrant who he was teaching Chinese to. They knew the two were close in age, though he had mentioned Seung being his elder he didn’t say by how much.
Although he could, if he wanted, make it less of a lie by actually spending more time with Seung, just as Venice in stead. The other was a knight and could use more time out as well he was sure, it would be well spent as they would be able to bond as well….it was an idea to pose to the other, but not tonight. Tonight he was out on his own and so far - nothing.

Not too incredibly far away, in one of the nearby neighborhoods, a house with dozens of cars parked along the street boomed with loud music and drunk young adults stumbling over their own feet in the front yard. Like a scene pulled from a PH-13 rated film it was a wonder that the cops hadn’t been called yet with how much noise they were making.
It was there, across the street, atop one of the split story homes next to the tall chimney that Hekate stood in shadow with her wraith floating beside her. “Quite the feast” she commented absently to which the creature beside her merely grinned with wicked intent.
“I guess it doesn’t matter if you drain too much from one person, they’re all drunk off their asses anyway.” If anything they’d be doing them a service right? Nobody should drink while drive and well… you can’t drive if you’re passed out.
Without any further prompting the wraith left her side, soundlessly darting across the street avoiding most forms of direct light from cars and inside the home. Hekate smiled. Seemed the thing was having quite the fun draining energy from the belligerent guests and spectators waiting for the fight to begin.

It wasn’t the sound which drew him to the party, he didn’t hear the cacophony of noise till he got closer, what drew the senshi of kappa in was the sense of darkness. It wasn’t the negaverse, he’d felt plenty of that down in their home, but rather he sensed a senshi...sort of...it wasn’t something he’d felt before. He knew, from his cousin, about dark mirror senshi and maybe this was that? He had been down in the Negaverse’s home so he had felt corrupted senshi so he knew this wasn’t that.
Without thinking to call his cousin, though he’d been thinking of what she’d told him, he headed toward the signature. It was close and it wasn’t more powerful than his own, at least not that he could tell. He was sure if someone more powerful was with them he’d have felt it, and he wouldn’t be headed for the signature, but as it seemed alone - he was going.
It was when he got close enough to see a figure on a rooftop, and that he heard all the music and noise, that he figured a party was being taken advantage of. He couldn’t say that he much cared, he wasn’t the sort for parties and the idiots which attended them, but he wasn’t just going to let someone take energy either. If it weren’t for the energy draining he might even sit up here and watch the idiots show off just how stupid ,and out of control, they were. Alas, he couldn’t do that though - he had to protect them.
Rolling his golden eyes he went to close the distance between himself and the, presumed, dark mirror senshi. “You might want to stop whatever you are doing!” He called out from behind, hoping his voice was heard over the noise, did they really need their music that loud? He swore it could rouse the dead, and then promptly kill them all over again.

“Hmm?” Hekate turned at the sound of his voice. Arms crossed in front of her chest she canted her head to the side curiously.
“I’m sorry sir but I don’t understand. Do you want me to stop breathing?” For all intents and purposes the senshi of Jinxes wasn’t doing anything; her wrath was doing all the hard work and with each person it drained it’s transparent form became more corporeal. “Or is it that you want me to stop saving lives? Because from where I’m standing they’re more likely to hurt themselves than anything.” God forbid one of them step out onto the street and get hit by a car or drink themselves to death.

Seeing as he didn’t understand how Dark mirror senshi did their energy draining, though his cousin had explained it, he had never seen a warith. Was it like a youma? Assuming it was he folded his arms across his chest and eyed her. “Call back the wraith.” Even as she explained that she was saving lives, which perhaps she was, he didn’t like the excuse given - as it was just that..an excuse.
“Let them get hit, they are the idiots.” He didn’t like the idea of people getting killed but...if they were going to get drunk and be out where they could do stupid s**t and get hurt - their fault then.
He didn’t wait, didn’t give her a chance to do anything more. Bringing his right hand up toward his forehead he called out his attack, just as he pointed his index finger at the dark mirror senshi. “Kappa illusion!”

“Ha! And you think I’m the evil one.” She spat out as a surge of water shot up around her enveloping the Dark Mirror senshi in an illusion of his own design.
Teal eyes went wide in fear and confusion as she clapped a hand over her nose and mouth to keep herself from drowning. What the hell???
Hekate’s mind began to panic as sickly green webbed hands grabbed ahold of her ankles. With frantic motions she kicked at the illusionary little monsters with bald spots on their heads to no avail and instead of connecting with something solid, as one would expect, her foot passed through the Kappa’s face and within seconds Hekate found herself falling from the rooftop.
The small pinprick of light from the water's surface all but disappeared when shrubbery in front of the home's living room window all but enveloped her as she landed amongst the pointy branches with a startled yelp. Immediately the illusion dissipated with her gasping breath. “What the freaking hell was that for?” She yelled up at him, not caring if the homeowners heard her; assuming there were inside and not at the party across the street.
Her eyes narrowed angrily as she reached her hand up towards the eaves and whispered “Hekate Jinx” before rolling out of the bush and onto her feet while the smoky trail made it’s way up the side of the house near blending in when the shadows cast upon it by the streetlight lining the sidewalk about thirty feet away.

He wasn’t evil...he just didn’t care for people who did stupid things. He was a bit...strict? He really didn’t care to think of what term was best to describe himself as, it was a time consuming thing. Watching, a big smugly even, as his magic hit and took effect. He should have done more...should have attacked her but he didn’t. He stood watching her facial expressions as she suffered from whatever effect his magic was having on her, he couldn’t say he knew what exactly it did. He hadn’t used it on his cousin and he didn’t see what his magic did, so he was clueless on what a person experienced.
Watching as she flailed, and kicked, and panicked he was even more happy to see her fall from the roof top. This was a war and he wasn’t one who thought about showing mercy to an enemy, they wouldn’t show him any. Arms still crossed he approached the edge of the roof top and peered down to the ground to see what had happened to her.
“That was a warning shot.” He stated calmly, cooly. He had magic, good for him, but he also knew how to fight. Magic was either an opening shot, something done as a last resort, or a tactic to be used. As a tactic it would work well to let an enemy think it was all he could do, that he wasn’t able to fight and was weak physically, but here he was using it as an opening shot in the hopes of simply scaring her off.
That however didn’t happen as he was taken by surprise when her own brand of magic, in the form of a purple wispy like smoke attacked him. It was like some sort of horror, or even fantasy, show as the smoke was taken into his body against his will. He tried to hold his breath but that failed - utterly. When nothing happened though he figured himself perhaps safe...but that feeling gave way to a rather suspicious sense of unease as there was no way it would do nothing...it had entered him. If he felt nothing though than what was happening, or would happen?
Deciding to join her on the ground he let himself fall off the rooftop and landed, a rather jarring thing, and headed toward her. He didn’t much care, or even give much thought, to the drunks partying. His socked feet made their way toward her as his right came up again and the words called forth once more. “Kappa illusion!” His index finger pointed toward the dark mirror senshi.

Far more ready for his second attack than she was for the first one, Hekate jumped backwards towards the sidewalk out of his range. “Once is enough thank you.” She responded curtly with a mocking bow.
“If it’s all the same I will take my leave. Let the accidental deaths to any civilian be on your head not mine.” She smiled at him with a grin that suggested she knew something he didn’t. “It’s time to go” Hekate hollered and across the street her wraith stopped seemed somewhat annoyed but complied none the less.
“Until next time.” She saulted him while turning on her heel and sprinting away with the creature floating behind her.

His golden eyes watched her dodge his attack, damn it! He was ready to move in for a much more physical approach to things but he gave pause as she continued to speak. She was leaving, so easily? He ignored her comment about the civilians, he’d already stated his lack of care. If they were going to be idiots then that was their problem. Shaking his head he wondered about that smile on her face, he didn’t like it.
It was nothing, right? Ignoring, for the moment, his worry about the smile and whatever meaning to it there may be the senshi of kappa spared the drunken mass a quick glance over. If anyone was willing to get that drunk, as some of them seemed very intoxicated, and go outside than whatever befell you was your own fault. You knew it before you got drunk, knew the risks and most likely knew what they were like when drunk. He couldn’t feel sorry for them.
Turning he made to leave as well, the fight was over, diffused, the dark mirror senshi was gone. Her smile though...that lingered in his mind - haunting him.
