xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxKhree`en of Rhenxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Rhen Barbarian xxxxxxxxxxxxxx▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ ▆▆▆ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◆Outfit Cloak ◆Location underground? ◆Company People ◆Mood Irked Lets just start off with the fact that Khree'en felt the most out of place since she woke up on the back of a moving wagon. Dressed in nothing but the cloak she had been given by her fellow tribes mate yesterday she could proudly claim that she wanted to rip new holes in peoples faces. She wasn't chained or held back in any way except by the bars that where on all sides of her. She wasn't going to tremble and shake in the presence of the darkness however and instead she looked around, her breath heavy as she saw the state that the people where left in. This was a war dungeon, she had heard of them from tales her tribe had told her, when conquerors would go to other lands and bring back hostages to either be bartered around in order to exchange them or to sell them off as slaves. That last thought made Khree'en shiver, that was not something she wanted, she wouldn't live a life of a slave, she refused.
Khree'en looked around for a way to escape but saw nothing, she was to big to fit though the bars, A pain in the side of her head reminding her of how she had managed to get herself locked up in the first place, ah yes, that was it. She had been trying to sell the ring she had taken off the corpse she had looted in the Ashland yesterday, apparently it had been some big-o's ring before they died. She remembered something about the word imperialistic and maybe the word princess before she was knocked out and woke up here a few hours ago. Another deep sigh and Khree'en was looking up, trying to thinking of a way she could escape.

As soon as Kyran returned to the castle after the stressful ride, he walked back to his room and immediately collapsed on the floor out of exhaustion. By the time he woke up, it was well into the morning. He changed into more acceptable clothing, deciding he might as well stay in the castle as usual. Upon hearing the news of Herod not being in the castle, Kyran wasn't too sure where to go. Truthfully, Kyran wanted to discuss with Herod what had happened the previous day, but it seemed it would have to wait. He was just about to hole himself up in the library to read the latest book that Herod gave him when he heard whispers from guards of a new prisoner.
Now that Kyran thought of it, he hadn't been in this dungeon for almost a year. Last time he was here, Kyran recalled how he has used his power on a prisoner to try to better his health. It was a messy business and it still made Kyran remember the shrill screams in his head. He shuddered and continued to walk through past guards and prisoners alike to the cells where more recent prisoners are kept. As his eyes adjusted to the half-light, Kyran saw a familiar woman in the cell. He recalled the guards mentioning something about thievery. But this woman? Kyran approached the cell carefully, not wanting to alarm her. "Ah.. hello.." Kyran greeted, quite unsure how to go about this. Obviously, their meeting yesterday went terribly. Speaking that Kyran wasn't the most helpful or friendly in terms of encounter, Kyran wouldn't be surprised if there was a less than chilly response.

Khree'en then looked back down at Kyran, her auburn hair was ratty and dirty from sleeping in the street last night and waking in a cell this morning. She wasn't happy to see him, but she wasn't pissed off either, she wasn't really in the mood for giving a s**t who was who right now. Right at that moment a scream echoed from farther down the rows of cells, followed by a loud constant banging that would soon turn soft as if whatever it was had been hit so hard so many times that it either broke or became tenderized.
Khree'en cringed slightly at the thought of that banging being someone's face against the bars, but after being down here for less then a day she wouldn't doubt it. The cells seemed like a place that one would rather commit suicide in then wait to be questioned. Khree'en brought her hands up to the bars and put her hands on the cold metal, the way she was pressed up against the bars kept her cloak over her body. Khree'en grinned slightly "So, Mister Letho, is it my pleasure that you're my torturer today? Cause I can save you the trouble. The answer is the same one I gave the guards and the shop owner and anyone else that bothered to ask; I found the ring on a corpse in the ashlands." Khree'en said.

Kyran remained silent, only scratching the back of his head. Well, at least she wasn't openly cursing at him or shouting for his death? That's what happened last time he was here at least. He glanced at the surroundings, noticing that the cloak wasn't enough to shelter her from the cold and rather dirty cell. He winced at the obvious sound of someone being tortured not too far. While it was a common practice for one to have a beating and possibly breaking of bones, especially for a crime, it was still extremely difficult to ignore it. "Whether or not I live up there is not important." he replied.
When she grabbed at the bars of the cells and questioned about being her torturer, Kyran flinched noticeably. It reminded him too much about what he had done to the prisoner. His power was essentially torture almost, forcing others into sleep and nightmares hours on end. After all, the ability is what causes him to live and breath basically. "I am sorry to disappoint you, but no. I am a prince and advisor, not a torturer." he retorted, his voice almost shaking. But as she continued, did Kyran remember about the ring. "Wait, is it the same ring that you scavenged yesterday?" he asked, eyebrow raised. If it was the same one, then no doubt, Kyran knew that she was then innocent. She didn't steal it or murder the owner obviously.

Khree'en nodded her head slowly "the exact same ring" she said to him "Apparently being in possession of anything shiny means I stoled it" she muttered, a frown on her face as she spoke about the ring, she had also been stripped of all the other things she had scavenged from the necklaces and the bracelets to the hunters bow. She had managed to keep hold of her blade however, Khree'en looked around Kyran's head to the wall where the black blade was being held against its will. The former queens blade, Evangeline throat ripper. A look of longing came over Khree'ens features as she looked at the blade. it was her most prized possession, even if she couldn't fight well with it.
Khree'en looked over at Kyran again and smiled a toothy smile "So since you know I'm innocent are you gonna let me out of here Mister Prince and Advisor Kyran of Letho" she said slightly sarcastically and almost playfully "Or am I going to be stuck in here another day or two" Khree'en asked as she pushed herself away from the bars, holding the cape up so it wouldn't fall and reveil anything "I wonder if I turned into my phoenix form if I could bust out of here" Khree'en mused, actually seeming to think about doing just that.

"The exact one, huh.." Kyran echoed, glancing at the ground. While the guards probably meant well, he could see how their act of judgement was extremely flawed. He the noticed how she looked slightly past him towards the wall. He blinked and turned around, finally noticing the blade against the wall. By instinct, he walked over to examine the blade moreso, not quite touching it. It really was the ancient, missing weapon that the Letho family have wondered the fate of and its owner. There was a small urge to unsheathe it and to try swinging it around. However, that was beyond rude to start grabbing it while its current owner was behind bars.
A small laugh escaped from Kyran at the slight sarcasm, once again, something he didn't hear often. "There may be a chance actually, though I wouldn't know what punishment would fall if you were to 'bust' out of here. I can release you now and rid of all the criminal record against you." he admitted. "I would like to apologize that you had been locked here against your will for a crime you have never done. I can release you, but I'm afraid that I will need your name in order to be sure all records are wiped." What Kyran was doing was probably a bit more than he would usually do. However, at the end of the day, injustice was a huge no in his book.

She looked back over toward her sword, the only down side to breaking out would be that she would have to leave that behind, but she would never do that, no matter how often she threatened to break out, that sword was hers and she would break back in just to get it.
Looking at Kyran Khree'en sighed, holding the cloak up with her good arm as she put her left hand on her hip, her arm aching from the movement due to the abuse it had gone though yesterday. The fact that this little boy wanted her name to clear records was something new to her, she had never been thrown in jail before so the whole concept of records and expunging crimes as foreign. However if that's what he needed "Khree'en of Rhen" she said softly after a few more moments of time "But I shouldn't have anything...I never gave my name before and this is my first time in this war prison" she said.

Kyran finally was relieved of learning her name. Now she was no longer simply 'the barbaric lady.' He gave a small smile and glanced down the hallways to see if there were any guards around who would have the keys to unlock the bars. "Then, I'll be sure not to share your name then. I simply wanted to know to clear this entire messy business up as quickly as possible for your benefit." Kyran replied. In reality, Kyran had technically tricked her. Her name was never mentioned by the guards about the crime, just a barbarian who overstepped her bounds. At the least, a very small lie hopefully that won't cause her to actually kill him. He simply wanted to know and Khree'en never shared her name. Furthermore, she shared her clan name- something that would be vital in understanding more about the clans outside of Phobos capital. This was outside of clearing records, but she wouldn't know that, would she?
"Furthermore, to clear your name, I will need to talk with the guards and anyone involved to keep this situation quiet. If more people are involved, there is no doubt that others will take out their anger on your people. As for the ring, do you still plan to sell it?" Kyran continued, gesturing to a passing guard to come over. Although the guard seemed fairly unsure about Kyran's decision, Kyran was confident that Khree'en would not act violently as long as they were respectful enough. The guard came up to the cell, unlocking the door near Khree'en. A few exchanged words came between the young prince and guard, but Kyran's words were final. Release the prisoner and she was under Kyran's personal protection and judgement until said otherwise. The door opened with a resounding screech, but the sound of freedom was most likely more welcome than the still echoes and screams of torture in the dungeons.

Khree'en would then walk out of the cage and slowly shut the door. She had never been on the inside or around a cage before so she was slightly surprised. Putting her hand on the cage door she moved it back and forth, listening to the soft creaking sound of the hinges. She would move over to look at the hinges, flicking one before jerking her hand back to look at her finger "So this stuff is made out of the same things swords are" she said, coming to her own conclusion that may not exactly be right, metal yes- but probably different types of metal.
Khree'en looked over at Kyran for a moment before she walked away from him, going over to the wall to pick up her sword, a guard moved defensively and Khree'en let a growl form low in her throat as she brought the black serrated blade to her body, her knuckles turning white with the tight grip she had on the handle <******** touch my sword again and ill push it though your throat" she hissed at the guard before looking back at Kyran "I don't have the ring anymore, incase you haven't noticed, I don't exactly have any place to carry it right now" she said as she jerked her cloak up slightly to reveal more of her legs "And I don't care about my name. let it be muddy, they will think what they want" she said to him as she looked down at her bare legs "Do you have any clothing though?" she asked him as she started to feel the chill of being naked.

Kyran snickered slightly as Khree'en's attitude towards the guard, complete with blowing a raspberry. As she reached for her sword on the wall, Kyran gave a pointed glance towards the guard. A harsh, cold look came from Kyran, making the guard freeze slightly. It was plan enough to see that Kyran was telling the guard to not do anything. The guard stiffened, bowed, and took a step back. Kyran sighed, the dark aura around him dissipating like the clouds on a warm day such as today. "I understand you do not have the ring anymore. But I can bring it back into your possession. Ah.. I apologize. I forgot about this certain.. predicament." He quickly thought, wondering where the nearest clothes for her would be. There would most likely be in the servant quarters and in select areas around the castle. The dungeon was an unlikely place actually.
For now, she'll have to wrap herself with that cloak. Kyran turned to the guard and gestured for him to go collect clothes. As they waited, Kyran tapped his fingers against this sides in impatience. Finally, he unclipped his coat and handed it out for Khree'en to wear. While Kyran wore it open, it was able to be buttoned closed. The faintest shade of red traced his ears at the situation. She had been mostly naked since yesterday and Kyran had been rather focused in his own world to not notice. It made him feel bad. "The guard will fetch some better clothes. For now, I hope this will do." he said rather sheepishly.

She then picked up her cloak and brought shook it slightly, flicking all of the dirt off of it before turning it length wise and tying it around her waist in order to cover more of her legs.
Khree'en would grab her sword once more and she looked at Kyran, looking him up and down for a moment before finally opening her mouth "Thanks. I guess" she said as she looked away from him, crossing her arms over her chest "So...Why did you come down here if you weren't going to torture me? she asked him just as the guard came back with some clothing. Khree'en looked at the guard as he pushed them into her hands, which caused her a slight irritation as she purposefully opened her hand and let the heavy sword drop onto his foot point first. The guard yelped slightly, the look in his eyes said that he wanted to possibly throw Khree'en back into a cell, but he held his tongue, put his foot back down and went back to his post as Khree'en picked up her sword for the third time. She looked back over at Kyran, a small smile flickering on to her face "I'm good without the ring, its not like I needed the money it would bring anyway, I have no use for it back in the badlands anyway." Khree'en stated "Is their a place I can change so you can get your cloak back? I'd prefer to not give sneaky here a peep show" she said, looking over at the guard again, She seemed to enjoy antagonizing the poor man.

Kyran kept his gaze away as she put on his coat, discarding the cloak on the ground. He hadn't felt this embarrassed since he felt asleep during dinner one evening and his face fell into the plate full of mashed potatoes. He tilted his head of his reasoning of coming here in the first place. "Hmm, how about because I wanted to see you?" he attempted to joke, before shaking his head. Despite joking, his voice was completely flat and had no hint of sarcasm as he tried. Kyran was not the best when it came to humor. "Nevermind, forget I said that. I just heard of a strange new prisoner and I was curious."
As the guard returned, he raised an eyebrow as the guard obviously was not pleased with having to fetch clothing for Khree'en, forcefully shoving them into her hands. He didn't say anything, but a small smile came to him as Khree'en let the sword drop on the guard's foot. That took some guts and Kyran was fairly impressed. Most who came to this dungeon were terrified out of their wits, half already going mad because of the circumstances. But her sheer spunk and spirit didn't allow any of that pass. "If you say so. Is there nothing you would want to trade then instead for the ring?" Kyran asked, recalling how she had technically walked from the Ashlands to the city.
Then, he thought. A place of change? Kyran didn't know where that place could be, apart from his own quarters. And the guard, who was standing at his post, was glowering. Kyran privately thought of talking to the guard to fix that particular issue later. Last thing he wanted walking within the castle walls was a guard who didn't know his place. As mentioned, these cells wouldn't do for her changing. Furthermore, Kyran just felt terrible that she ended up in such a position. It wasn't her fault that the guards were incompetent. "Yes, there is." he decided, choosing his own quarters. It wasn't like he was doing something strange. It would just be easiest for her to change in a private room that only he and a select few had the key and knowledge of.

And she watched as she stared back. They seemed to be having a silent conversation that would be very obvious to anyone who was able to read eyes and facial expressions, and perhaps kind of funny depending on whom it was, the prisoner closest to them seemed to find it funny. In a nutshell the guard and Khree'en's facial expressions and eyes showed a conversation of anger and annoyance followed by hate, surprise, pain, embarrassment and then pain as Khree'en chuckled slightly "He's a telepath, now isn't that hilarious." she said with a grin, she looked slightly sadistic as her lips pulled at the sides as she kept stareing at the guard, ignoring Kyran for a little bit as the blush on the guards face grew until his face was so red it was indistinguishable from anger.
Khree'en then turned to look back at Kyran "I doubt that you wanted to see me mister Advisor and Prince Kyran, it would seem that you would have many more things to do rather then hang around in prison cells" she said to him as she smiled again, she no longer looked sadistic and instead she just looked happy to be able to not rot in a cell the rest of her life "Well, if you know were I can go change, lead the way" she said, ignoring his question about the ring, to her the conversation was over, she had lost the ring she didn't want anything back for it and her thick headedness wouldn't accept the trade he was attempting to make.

"A telepath?" Kyran asked, the comment bringing him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see the guard and Khree'en after what seemed like an entire side conversation and fight. Eyes flicking between the two, Kyran finally shrugged it off. At least the atmosphere was fairly civil and actually, almost friendly perhaps? The guard seemed unnerved at the most and hopefully all his training won't go to waste by malpractice. She made no comment apparently when it came to the trade, then did it mean it could work?
He smiled and nodded, leading the way out of the cells. "Of course." He then paused by the guard who was as red as wine. "This will be just between the three of us, alright?" he said to the guard casually. His voice was light, but like when he was unrightfully smug yesterday, it had a hidden malice like ice. "If anyone asks, bring it to me first before anyone else." With that, Kyran turned to Khree'en and nodded to follow him. While it would look strange of a strange and once prisoner to be walking around the castle in only his coat, Kyran didn't care. There was plenty of bad talk already of him, more wouldn't matter.
