 H E R O D ✹ L E T H O ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ❝..Next to the Throne..❞ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Would finally feel at rest as he made his return home. His eyes would close while he sat upon his throne with his eyes closed and his mouth in a frown while his elbow laid upon the throne's arm and he awaited for a happening of the day. Though his body was a bit warmed up for an event, he tried to keep his energy inside and remain the stoic king most guards knew. The man's eyes on the guard who came to him. His eyes flashed a bit of gold as he lifted his chin. Though the only reply was a tremble in the knees of the young man. Herod's mouth made a frown while he put a finger and tapped his lips. "Speak." He'd say while blinking. The man's mouth quivered, bringing news of the arrival of Lady Hysteria. His eyes would blink slowly as the man's hand tapped on the throne before rising. He'd then usher the man off before slowly walking forward and taking his time down the hall. His eyes stared into what seemed to be an unknown despair. His mouth quivered a small bit. He'd then hold a book in hand, a book he knew well, though he did not look into it's bindings. He'd only hold it. His chin was lifted as his eyes showed to glisten in his sanctum of solitude. He felt the pain in his heart carry him into an almost dream like state. He was sombered from his brother's death, more than most would believe the stoic king. His golden eyes hued a lighter shade for the first time, an almost grey, to silver. Legitimate ruler of the Empire Evelyn stepped though the shadows and nearly vomited from the effort that had just taken, both stepping though the shadows and leaving her son behind. Her body shook as she convulsed dryly. She then raised her head to see a few guards looking at her with a mixture of confusion and anger. She looked around and found she had stepped into the throne room. Well, this seemed rather fitting. Evelyn stood straight and looked at one of the guards, she would bluntly say "I am Evelyn Aintia Lionis, Only surviving child of Emperor Apollion Helios Lionis, The legitimate heir and ruler of the Empire of Epsilon" she said to the guard as she held the sword that had just been given to her but she did not unsheathe it "Your King is expecting me" Evelyn's voice became calmer. ════ Love // Honor // Justice // Revenge
I will see the ones that I love smile down upon me
But I will not stain my honor with the blood of their killers
For Justice will make it so your enemies fall from up high
And Revenge will only make you the murder that stood behind them.

His golden eyes looked a bit more lively than the year prior, and his hand rested at his side, as the sword slapped against his leg. His ears heard politics, but his mind was on other things. After, not even a moment, he would stop and look forth. His hand rose slightly as the men at his side stopped and he began to move forward. "What's this?" He'd ask as the guards would scramble to a salute, before he put his hand down. ". . .Ah, Madame Lionis." He'd say to her before putting a hand on the hilt of his sword, in a resting position. "I thought you would have returned to speak sooner." His golden eyes glew a bit as he slowly walked by her and made a slight path through the guards towards the throne. "Come, speak with me." He'd say while walking forward. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Legitimate ruler of the Empire Evelyn looked over at the King and smiled slightly "Though speaking again with you has always been on the top of my priority list I did have to make sure a few things had been settled before I can here again" she said to him as she walked over to the throne, she stopped a good five feet from it and bowed her head "My son's safety will always take priority over any meeting" she paused before looking up at him "You spoke of proving myself to you in order to gain your support, If you will still allow me to do so..." she paused, letting her words trail off as she looked at the golden eyed King. His body would lower to it's seat while his head tilted up to the rafters and his mouth let out an exhale. "A child, you say?" He'd say before looking to her and putting a hand on the rest of his chair. His golden eyes would lay half closed as he gazed upon her and his mouth let an exhale leave it's wake. "It's not of my current concern, take care of your child in your time, though, you've come, and for that you have baded my interest." He'd tell her as he blinked slowly to the young woman and put a finger to a crest on the arm of his chair. "You have come for trial for the support of Phobos. And through the trials of past, through kings of the past, there were kings and queens, lords, and generals, who entered combat." He'd say while leaning back. "Though that would prove pointless here. So stead ask you this. Why do you want my support?" ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Legitimate ruler of the Empire Evelyn smiled tightly, her lips thin "I've made sure he was safe before I came here" she said to him, her eyes flashing slightly "Though I never asked to have my child, I would to anything to make sure that he is safe before I pursue my own ambitions" she said, giving him a quick and fairly clean answer. She would listen to him for a few more seconds, she didn't speak for a good minute before she sighed out a soft breath, her chest rising and falling as she did "If I may be blunt." she said, looking up at him, his golden eyes were strange, she had only met one other with golden eyes and she hadn't heard back from him in a long time "Contrary to popular opinion, my family never suppressed any kingdom. Though we did conquer and make an empire, before my ancestors had done such a thing everyone was fighting. Phoenix against dragon, Darkness against light." she paused, making sure to hold his eye contact "and after two hundred years that animosity hasn't changed. Bellris and Ethe still claw at each other whenever they can and Phobos is still stereotyped as being..." she clicked her tongue against her teeth and folded her hands in front of her stomach "The arch nemesis of Epsilon despite you and Phobos being the least aggressive of the Kingdoms thus far." she said "The Drosselmeyers aren't helping and are in fact making it worse. My father may not have made anything better, but he wasn't picking fights, burning fields, forcing marriages, and torturing people just for speaking out. Though my predecessors had lost themselves in the thralls of power I have not, I desire to reunite Epsilon" her eyelids lowered but she maintained her eye contact, looking at him "But a united Epsilon isn't possible unless I have the support of every King and Queen.════ Love // Honor // Justice // Revenge

As well as other things. He would nod at her conviction remembering he had children that he lorned to see as well. His eyes glew a bit as she looked to him in silence after he asked her a question. Though as she spoke his eyes blinked rarely and his focus was on her holding his chin up with his knuckle as he stared to her. It seemed she knew an awful lot about the state of the empires, and raging conflicts. His mouth would exhale slowly as he rose from the throne, his eyes half open and clouding with red as he stood up straight. He'd watch his men stand at the ready as he would motion them down. His eyes would clear not too long after as he let his lips purse a bit and his hand clasp his side. His mouth would open slightly and a light breath would exit it.
"Ho? You plan to unite Epsilon, as it's been tried for Centuries?" He'd begin as he looked to her and step down one step as he merely put a hand to his wrist, holding a bracer, and slowly began to untie it. His eyes blinked once more as he lifted his head. "So, in this, you plan to wage a war against the current throne, using the combined might of the 3 kingdoms as your backing? A war that even with us at your wake, you may not win? Or is this just my speculation?" He'd ask as he blinked looking to the weapons lining the wall around him. His body taking another step down as he spoke. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Legitimate ruler of the Empire Evelyn watched him, her eyes breaking away from his for just a moment to look at his wrist and then the rest of him, he did have a warriors physique, in a one on one fight she would never be able to take him on fairly. She listened to him and she smiled softly as she once again met his eyes, the smile on her face looking both unpleasant and inviting at the same time, almost as if it was filled with both pleasure and violence "three?" she said, her voice nearly purring out the question and she pressed her lips together again and shook her head "I did say a united Epsilon didn't I?" she said as she held up four fingers "Four Kingdoms" she said and once again folded her hands together. She raised her chin ever so slightly, not out of cockiness, but simply as they finally ended up on the same ground, she had to raise her head slightly in order to meet his gaze as he was a bit taller then her "And from my recollection my forefathers conquered Bellris, Ethe, Zalto...and even your Kingdom, King Herod" she said to him "Uniting them has never been tried before" she paused, her lips pursed for a moment before she finally said "I'm smart enough to learn from my families history... and that history tells me never to do the same thing twice...and expect different results" she smiled "My family has never sought the help or opinion of another kingdom... so If each kingdom has a stake in the future then each kingdom is less likely to throw away all the hard work they put in... even when fighting along side those they once called enemy" Evelyn tilted her head ever so slightly, her black hair falling over her shoulder "Am I wrong in this?"════ Love // Honor // Justice // Revenge

His eyes blinked slowly as he held the bracer in his hand and listened to her words. She seemed a bit too confident in the words she spoke. He would look off to the side as she mentioned four kingdoms and his arms would cross. His mouth would remain silent as he listened to her as she spoke on history. His golden gaze glew a bit as he looked off to the dark pillars and blinked towards her as he walked forth a bit beyond her as he stood with his back towards her. His mouth sighed a bit as he looked back slightly. "You make it sound like my people were established at this time as the kingdom it is now. Though, it seems you know that it's a farm more dangerous venture than it was all those years ago." He'd stare forth as he put his hand on his shoulder and adjusted the cape, that held his kingdom's emblem. "I don't count the recovering kingdom. It would take alot to make them join a battle they wouldn't be guaranteed victory. Though, you didn't deny that this wasn't the marks of a coming battle." He'd say while putting the his attention to the door before him. "With the Drosselmeyers no less. The current head of house in Lioness." He'd say before turning his body to her fully once more. ". . .Even if you haven't taken this trial. I am marked as a prey for their eyes, and thus, it's forced my people to grow farther from the empire's reach interms of rations and taxes. Thus, I intend to aide whoever goes against those traitors." He'd say while staring at the woman. His mouth forming a stern frown. Dethrone The Emperor, if he does not abdicate then death, if he does then he will go to the Khell" she said to him "Same with his children if they choose to partake in this war" she said and then frowned, it hadn't come up so she assumed he didn't know "forgive me for going off topic, but have you not heard?" she asked him "Azazel has already attacked Bellris...
