Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Brooding in the halls After leaving the Black Hall, Shun resumed his wanderings of the manor, thinking about how he was going to proceed. He wouldn't be able to question the Burning man, not with Melany right there. And his attempts to eavesdrop had fallen short. Though, he did pick up on a few things from a couple of the other servants. The masked ones were there for the Sorrowful One. Waiting to watch them die for her, or something like that. And then there was that small bit about the one known as Ascension. That was... ominous. To say in the least. But apart from that, he found himself without much of a means to pursue leads. He supposed he could try dealing with some of the masked and maskless... Maybe. This was all frustrating him. It made him feel rather useless to the cause right now, which was something he hated. It was his fault too, to have made things as difficult as they were. He'd find a way. Somehow.

25/25 | Shiloh Beaumont (masked) | Stalking...
The halls were quiet. Shiloh enjoyed it.
Melany had never given him a direct dismissal, and truth be told... Shiloh was a little irritated with how the incident in Ivory Hall went down. Sure, they 'won', but leaving a job unfinished? No, that wouldn't do. He always hated how people flocked together; Shun was weak. He should have perished, should have been an example at the very least.
Ah, well, there he was. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?
"So," he didn't approach him all that quickly, but he definitely preyed on surprise, "Any closer to solving the mystery?"
His voice was sarcastic, taunting.

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Dramatic over the shoulder look Shun paused as he heard a voice from behind. One that belonged to someone he didn't care to be hearing right now. He glanced over his shoulder, narrowing his eyes at the masked kid he had fought with earlier. "What is it to you? Do you not have some shoes to be licking right about now?" he retorted, turning around to face Shiloh more directly. He resented him for the way things had gone down earlier. While the fight had been cut off, there was no denying that he had been bested in that encounter. He wanted revenge. But he was also wary, uncertain what was to happen here. Perhaps Melany had sent this dog after him since leaving the hall.

25/25 | Shiloh Beaumont (masked) | Dramatic wind blowing (there is no wind)
"Me? No, not right now." Shiloh shrugged, hands stuffing into his coat pockets, "Madam can handle herself well and good, y'know."
He slowly wandered closer. "This is just a matter of..." the way he gave pause, hand resurfacing to touch a finger to his chin in ponder, was ultimately passive aggressive, "...unfinished business? You feel it too, don't you?"
Though, Shiloh wasn't in it for revenge, not like Shun was. He was in it for the fun, for the thrill, for the praise.
"Really, you should've just apologized."

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Taking initiative "Any apology I would have given to that woman would not have been sincere. Nothing could change that. Is that what you really want for your mistress?"Shun huffed, rolling his shoulders as the masked one before him brought up the brawl from before. "You wish to finish what we have started..." he stated, trailing off as if he was thinking about it. But in the blink of an eye, he was in motion, rushing straight for the masked one, not wanting to be caught flatfooted like the last round had gone. As he came near, he struck at Shiloh twice. A left hand came to jab at his side, while the right went towards the chest; a glint of light reflected off the blade he had took up while he had been moving.

25/25 | Shiloh Beaumont (masked) | On the defense
"I mean, realistically, it doesn't matter." Shiloh laughed, "Absolute obedience, that's all that it boils down to."
He took stance when Shun rolled his shoulders, absolutely ready for what was about to unfold. He wouldn't break out the nightmares—not yet, anyway. Actually, he had to give Shun some credit there. Of everyone present in the hall, it was him and Chel that took the ******** the best. Then again, it had been a while since Shiloh had attempted that on multiple people.
Shiloh waited for Shun to dash in, immediately feinting to the side. He didn't strike back, not right away. "Is it a pride thing? Is it because I'm a child?" or look like one. "Your motivation, I mean. I'm just carrying out orders."

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Keeping it up "You are no child. No true child anyway," Shun commented as he turned while Shiloh had sidestepped. As this happened, he kicked out low at his legs, trying to knock him off balance a bit. As for his motivations, he didn't elaborate more than that. It wasn't as simple as being beaten down by someone that looked like a kid, though. Few things were really that simple. Was he pissed that he got beaten with relative ease? Yes. Certainly.

25/25 | Shiloh Beaumont (masked) | 100% smiles +3 to hit since he's a Fetch
"Well... I guess you're not wrong," he laughed, jumping back from Shun's legs. It was a nice feeling, knowing they grazed him, knowing that he would be perpetually out of Shun's reach. What a maddening sensation that must be, to be scarcely not good enough.
He wobbled; shoes with heels—however slight—really weren't built for this sort of thing. Still, he didn't strike back.
"Aren't you a cop or something? Law enforcement? And what exactly are you protecting with reflexes like this?"

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Attacking, attacking, attacking Shun hissed under his breath as Shiloh moved just out of range of his strike once more. This was infuriating. He wasn't going to answer that taunt of his either. Letting out a huff, he stopped and closed his eyes for a second. Perhaps that was getting to him too much. He needed to clear his mind. Inhale. Exhale. Focus. Snapping his eyes open again, he hurled his knife at the masked double of Shiloh, trying to gauge where the 'boy' might move towards. After the small weapon left his grasp, he was moving back in once more. "Stop toying around."

jeremiah mercer || 12/27 || ENTERING THE FRAY and going to lay down some magic Jeremiah was a little worn around the edges when he heard the sounds of conversation and combat. He was, in all honesty, looking for Algie as they had briefly separated not that long ago. The detective lieutenant had not expected to stumble upon combat. Shun and- he wasn't sure, but he was certain it was likely one of the masked doubles considering that those curls looked far too familiar. "Am I interrupting?" he said conversationally, stepping into the fray. "Kuroda, you know ... this isn't the first fight you've had this evening, if what I've heard is anything to go by." Not that Jeremiah wasn't, very clearly, up to something.

algernon mercer || 25/25 || entering carrying bunson, healing Jeremiah Alg had been looking for his husband but instead he'd found an adorable frazzled, masked bunchild. Which was adorable, really, but was also not his missing husband. Why did he have a feeling that he'd find him wherever the sounds of fighting were coming from? " Jesus-" Alg gasped, tucking Jamie closer to his chest cautiously, "You leave Kuroda alone for five bloody minutes.." The professor looked to his husband, just in the entryway and looking worn and tired, "Jeremiah, what's going on?" A hand to the other's cheek was warm and rejuvenating.

Jamie Delacroix | 25/25 | chilling in Alg's arms Frazzled, yes. Distraught and emotionally torn multiple ways, also yes. Jamie had told himself he was going to stay put, stay out of everyone's way, but that hadn't quite happened. Though his run in with the real Shiloh in the atrium had ended poorly, he couldn't leave him alone, he just couldn't. It was hard... the thought of facing him after what happened before was thoroughly frightening and yes, he was scared.
That was when he'd run into the professor.
If there was one thing about being a hare that was nice, it was the free rides. Or maybe it was this particular free ride, in arms that soothed with magic. Jamie's ears were pressed back, but not because he was upset. He was nearly asleep when they came upon the scene, except that bubble popped quickly when he saw who it was.
Ears shot up and he ground his teeth together in immediate concern and agitation. The detectives were here, Mercer and Kuroda, and... Shiloh. Jamie was a bundle of nerves in Alg's arms all over again even in the face of his magic.

25/25 | Shiloh Beaumont (masked) | UM EXCUSE ME +3 to hit since he's a shadow Fetch
The knife was dodged with relative ease, considering the rest of the night's antics. "Me? What? I'm being serious!" he smiled, all bark and seemingly... no bite? The knife clattered against the wall.
His smile faltered at the sudden rush of people, eye twitching under his mask as they came into recognition. Jeremiah... Algernon... Jamie; "Jame, c'mon," Shiloh took a step back, balking at the group "Didn't I say those guys were bad for you?"
It was a jest. Jamie wouldn't believe him now, Shiloh was fairly certain, and if he did then it was his own stupidity at this point. Point was, Shiloh was now vastly outnumbered.
When he backed into a wall and realized he was cornered, it became a little more realistic.
He stooped down, grabbing the knife. Stop toying around? ******** it, he could stop toying around if that was what Shun wanted. Like hitting a switch, Shiloh didn't smile anymore. <******** always gotta rely on each other, don't you? Cowards." his fingers curled around the hilt of the blade, "The ******** are you gonna do when no one has your back anymore?" he growled, obviously uncomfortable, "What? Anything? ANYTHING?"
He didn't wait for an answer, knowing the odds were stacked against him. He rushed Shun—the original target of this fight—brandishing the knife with full fury.

Shun Kuroda 20/25 | Being useless And then more people were around, including someone who was quite possibly among the last he wanted to see right at this moment. "Not now, Mercer," he hissed. Why did Jeremiah have to appear now? He'd show up in time to see how weak he was in this fight against Shiloh. It was a distracting thought. And though he knew better than to take his eyes off of an enemy, his gaze had flicked to the other detective anyway. In that moment, Shiloh had rushed forth at him, and he felt his own blade sink into his shoulder. Gritting his teeth, he let out a sharp hiss of pain. He could try to use this to his advantage. He reached to grab onto Shiloh while he was right up in his grill. He wasn't able to do anything more like throw him down, but maybe he could keep him in place.

jeremiah mercer || 17/27 || YO SHITLOH GIMME THAT MASK, enjoy ur magic damage Jeremiah looked sharpy when Algie - was that Jamie!? - showed up. His husband was given a look of thanks as he was clearly tired but as always Alg's touch seemed to ease some of what was bothering him. "Another double," he said and then was gone. Shun was being attacked and that would not do. The detective reappeared a moment later next to Shiloh, cold fire around him and a hand reaching out to snatch off the material that made up his mask. He knew what was under it, what really laid there beneath it once the mask was gone. Then Jeremiah was slamming a hand into Shiloh, the force of his will behind it hitting him with a burst of fire. "Back off," he growled out, "I am tired of how bloody chatty you lot are!"
