"The beautiful castle of Lionis, one thought unconquerable it was stormed in the year 200 by the Drosselmeyer family in order to take the throne. The Castle also cleverly acts as a dam and reservoir, making it impossible to take from the entire southern side.
At one point the castle use to be completely made of blue whispers but since the blue whispers castle fell, the New Lionis castle has been rebuilt with a statue of Ivirth standing as the warrior that conquered and united all the Epsilon Kingdoms into an Empire."

It was about time he came here. His golden eyes would gaze at the great wall as the light made him squint a bit. This might be his first time here in the day. His first time here as a king. Though he was known by name, many did not know his face. He would frown a bit as he flexed his arms and looked forward before inhaling. He'd exhale as guards seem to ready themselves at the gate and Herod put a hand onto his wrist looking forward. "Do you think that this would intimidate me..." He'd mutter before walking forward. The presence of the man as dark as his hair while looking up. "I am here to see your leader. Where is he?" He'd call out while continuing, even through the threat before him. His eyes not wavering in any since. "We have some...Business." After saying this he'd put a hand forward as he cracked his neck to the side. "So, Heed me. Prin...King Herod Letho." He'd call out while the guards stared in slight confusion at the man's presence before them. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

I'm feeling: Unwell | I'm with: Heord | I have: $700EC
The weather was warm, a lot warmer than usual. Her platinum blonde tresses fluttered in the wind as she rode on her horse alone to the Kingdom of Lionis. She ordered for her men to stay put, that she wishes to be alone on her travel but even so, she knew full-well they were following after her not too far behind. Stubborn, she thought but she knew that they meant well. The safety of their queen was what mattered to them at the moment, the final remaining descendant of the royal family. Her eyes were swollen and bloodshot from the tears she spend mourning her family's death. There were bags beneath her eyes from the nights she spent worrying over the well-being of her citizens. There were dark cresents beneath her eyes from the many sleepless nights she spent helping her people get back up on their two feet. She wanted to be their hope, she wanted them to believe that it's possible to rebuild their kingdom. It will be hard and it may not be as it once was but she wanted to make the best of what was left. She witnessed the bodies the guards carried off the streets, thrown onto wagons and sent off for burial. Most of them were unidentified, their faces burnt away by the larva that poured through the city. The only thing that told each of them apart were the belongings they had on them. The necklaces around their neck, the pocket watches. Ophelia's heart pained at the tragic sight and her heart mourned for them. Children crying over the loss of their parents, men and women over the loss of their child. She understood full-well what it felt like to witness their death, to see your remaining family members swallowed up and burnt mercilessly by the fire that spread through the castle walls. Her daughter. Her beloved daughter. If only time would turn back, Ophelia would gladly take her place. Anything to let her live on but no, she was stuck in this harsh reality, stuck in the ravages of time. Tears brimmed within her heterochromias but even so, she kept her chin high, refusing to let her tears fall at a moment such as this. She's a strong woman, a strong leader and she wouldn't allow herself to crumble under such circumstances. Not when she's about to meet the emperor.
It was quite surprising to see the queen ride all the way to Lionis on her own without any escorts. Reckless of her, some might say. She stopped in front of the castle walls and got off her horse. The queen would fly but she'd rather conserve her energy for her people when she returns to Ethe after the meeting. The guards were quick to react when a foreign woman made her way towards the castle. She stopped immediately at the spears that were pointed at her though they were quick to realize just who exactly she was with the large red robe that draped over her shoulders. Horror dawned upon their features as they apologized and Ophelia simply placed a hand upon one of the soldier's shoulder. "It is alright." she answered. The metal armor felt cold against her skin, the cold metal prickling against her fingertips. Her long legs carried her towards the entrance, eventually taking notice upon a man that stood not too far from her. Striking golden irises that stood out beneath his raven locks of hair. He had a strong presence, intimidating and though Ophelia may be a woman, her presence was no less than his. With a gentle smile, she gave a curtsy, a formal greeting nonetheless. "I didn't expect to run into you here.. King Herod Letho. I apologize for showing up with such an unnpresentable appearance-.." she lifted her gaze as she brought her hands up to her face, shielding the exhaustion that was showing upon her features.

It seemed it was void of light, while the guards wouldn't believe that this man was a king of anykind, though while they chattered with their bows, and spears at the ready, Herod's head pricked up as he heard the gallop of a single horse. The sound wasn't of hostility, even if the situation was justified for it, but as he turned his head, his chin would lift a bit. It was the Queen of Ethe herself. He knew of her greatly since the incident, and the look on his eyes was unchanged while he put a hand on his hip. Herod would see how on edge the guards were as she approached. It seems it wasn't just a plot of Racism against his darker demeanor, which Phobians were accustom to. Though after a quick glance it seemed, they'd see the queen's identity and began to repent. "Hmph..." He'd grunt as the man's arms crossed and he looked onto the guards who were still wary of him until he was actually addressed. His eyes blinked slowly as she spoke of the chance meeting of them at this place. His full body would then turn as his hand crossed the broad chestplate he wore while he bowed to her as well. "An honor to behold you as well, Queen Ophelia." He'd reply before rising up to see her covering her visage. The man would look over to the many of the men who tried to avert their gazes in embarrassment of the misunderstanding, though, Herod, instead of speaking to them, approached the Queen. His arms behind his back while blinking slowly. "Are you alright, M'lady." He'd say before reaching in his garbs and pulling out a small red cloth of soft fabric. He held it forward as the smell of an odd flower radiated from it. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Clothing: Armor Transport: Shire Horse With: 20 guards Cash: $1000Going: Home Mood: a little angryThoughts: "That witch should be locked up..."Emperor Azazel rode across the bride, twenty guards following behind him before he finally dismounted his horse. He would look over at one of his servants as he snapped his fingers repeatedly as they quickly ran to take care of the horse. Emperor Azazel would start to walk toward his castle, walking right passed his two guests and walking about ten steps up before he stopped and looked back at them. A small flicker of a smile coming to his face "King Herod and Queen Ophelia I presume" he said as he looked over to one of his servants "Water for my guests" he stated and the servant nodded before quickly walking off "I'm glad you two are here, it saves me the trouble of another several months of travel." he said with a tight smile before he walked back down the stairs so instead of being ten stairs above them he was only two. He would move his attention to the queen first as he would give her a courteous low bow, taking her right hand and placing a kiss on her knuckles "My lady Ophelia, I have never seen such a beauty." he said, keeping his bow "Nor have I seen such pain stain such a lovely face...You have my condolences for your losses and my support though the many harsh months to follow" he said to her before he stood back up right and he would look at Herod "King Herod, I knew your father well, It is a shame that he passed on last year and I regret being unable to attend the funeral process in the Maude, however if we both knew him as well as I claim I do, I believe that despite the unexpected passing that Phobos will prosper more under your rule then it did under his" he said to him, it was polite for what he was actually thinking, his mind still on the Queen of Zalto and the image he was keeping in his mind of his guards ripping her tongue out. But he did not show what he was thinking on his face, instead he just looked calm...maybe slightly irritated. Azazel would then say "Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Azazel Drosselmeyer, Former Grand Duke of Geistmonte, Cousin to the late Emperor Apollion and Second Cousin to his son the late Emperor Mikhail Lionis." He said to them just as a servant came with water for Ophelia and Herod. The Servant would offer them the water as Azazel then said "I requested you here to renew your vows of fealty to the crown." he said to them "As I am not of the Main line I find this to be essential to the trust that I must build with the three Kingdoms under my domain" he said to them, looking at them back and forth.

Queen Ophelia. She never really liked being addressed that way. It was always 'Ophelia' for her but it was courtesy among the royal families so she could at least compromise that much. His voice was a deep baritone that echoed throughout the area, a voice with a strong presence, as expected from a ruler of Phobos. She could feel the tension emitted from the castle guards as they kept their gaze downcast in shame and guilt. She didn't mind their hostility at first. She could understand that much though they should learn to familiarize with faces if they wish to keep their heads. With her smile still intact, her heterochromia gaze returned Herod, her eyes falling upon the red fabric he held out in hand. It had the smell of flowers, one she hadn't been able to smell since the tragedy. Her kingdom was void of any greenery save the few that were left unravaged by Mt. Adara's touch. She took the fabric, fingers brushing ever so gently against his. "I am quite alright." she replied, dabbing the soft fabric beneath her eyes. Sounds of horses arriving could be heard and a figure came into sight. It wasn't hard to recognize just who exactly it was. She gave a curtsy before her hand was taken by a relatively large one, she was graced with a kiss upon her knuckles by a man with raven locks and irises as dark as the nightsky. He stood tall, much, much taller than Ophelia. He was none other than Azazel, himself. She has heard many rumours about him that claimed he wasn't a nice man, whisperings that travelled into her ears. Then again, no one in the royal family was ever 'nice'. "I deeply apologize for showing such disgraceful signs upon my features." she shielded her features once more, keeping her exhaustion well and out of sight. "It is an honour for my kingdom to receive your support. You have my utmost gratitude, King Azazel." she answered, her chin held high despite the fall of her kingdom. Their water arrived shortly and she took it in her hands, her features softening as she laid eyes upon the servant. "Thank you for your hard work." she'd tell the servant before they head off to their duties. She would ask them to take it easy but the queen wasn't in her palace and she wasn't in the right place to do so.
Renew the fealty to the crown, of course. That, Ophelia understood. She didn't speak much, only a simply nod of her head to show her respect and the agreement to do so.

H E R O D ✹ L E T H O ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ❝..Next to the Throne..❞ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ The king stood over as he saw her take the cloth and began to use it. His eyes would close as he nodded while his mouth held the frown upon his lip. His eyes stared to ground while listening to the galloping of horses. It was no less than a dozen, probably more. He'd stretch his neck while nodding to the queen while opening his eyes to the group of guards that seemed to guard who he was there to see. He'd never seen the man before, but from his presence that exuded from his being made his soul hurt. It wasn't as dark as his, but the red lining made him hurt. He'd scoff a bit as he approached calling for water. Herod's eyes opened when he looked to a person coming his way with the hydration. He'd blink slowly while looking to the person warily holding out the jar. Herod would slowly grab it while looking to the person who served him. He'd bow his head deeply while sighing a bit. He didn't like being served like this, he was a warrior at heart, not a noble. With that he'd look up the steps to the king who was one of the first people who towered over the young man.
He heard talk to the Queen and sighed while setting the water down on the step before kneeling while dipping his hands in. He seemed to flirt as he spoke, though from what his father had spoke of this man before he became in such a high position, he outmatched him in lovers, though out of the fray, none survived and few bore child. He'd wash his face with the water, letting some bright red fall from his neck while he winced abit at the sight. Though he was addressed and turned his head to the man with his same stoic look. "The only shame in my father's passing is that it wasn't on the field of battle, yet in the darkness." He'd retort to him while standing and letting his hand rest on his blade. He'd speak no more on his feelings for his father as he began to listen to his words.
He wanted him to swear under his name. His eyes would merely lock onto the man as the Queen spoke kind words, though his gaze spelled how he felt. "Zalto, Ethe, and Phobos." He'd begin as he blinked looking off to the side. "This is what I assume you mean by the three kingdoms. And judging from what you say, it seems Zalto already accepted, so it leaves me and the Queen." He'd then run the water over one of his old scars, across his nose before looking up. "But, with my father before me, and the King before him. We came to this place, with each emperor, and we tested his mettle in order to see who was worthy. Of Phobos' loyalty. For in our very veins, we do not give out well wishes and yes lord's easily. I can not accept until I see if I'm swearing oath with a man who can not hold a sword against another to hold his throne. I need proof that you are worthy." ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Clothing: Armor Transport: Shire Horse With: 20 guards Cash: $1000Going: Home Mood: Calming downThoughts: "Quite Beautiful..."Emperor Azazel smiled softly at the King of Phobos, a small smile flickering across his thin lips. Azazel was never a fan of Phobos, in his eyes it was a bipolar kingdom in both people and weather and the Emperor did not like unpredictability, it was a sign of instability, and it was not something that he expected. However Azazel would once again address the Queen of Ethe first "It is no disgrace my fair Lady. You deserve to show grief after what has come to befall you and your people, and I will not force you to hide your pain" he said to her, and when he saw her nod Azazel smiled once more " I take it I have your fealty Lady Ophelia?" he said, wanting to have a verbal yes so he didn't mistake the nod for something else. Azazel would then turned his head to look back at the King of Phobos, he could see his spirit, the fight their, and even though Phobosians weren't known for Honor he could see some of that inside of the boy King. It reminded him of his second daughter....what was her name again. Tatiana! that was right, His second daughter Tatiana had a Phobosian Mother, Maybe that rebellious spitfire like air ran though the blood of all the Phobosian people, if it did it would make sense and it irritated him, but he wouldn't let it show, instead he kept the mile on his face "Not everyone can die on the battle field, after all the reason the Emperors were chosen, if you don't remember correctly, is to keep the land at peace, and for the most part we have managed to do so." He stated the truth before continuing "However if you are proposing a duel I would gladly accept it King Herod, though keep in mind, I never show my full strength in mere acts, it spoils the fun for when I can show my true power on the battle field."

Showered with sweet words, the queen simply lowered her gaze, her mismatched eyes downcast and well out of sight. Their conversation were all so.. surfaced. Each wanting nothing to do with another, each wanting to get this over and done with but despite the discomfort she felt in the current situation, Ophelia suppressed her feelings, her expression remaining as gentle as ever. "As their queen, I am not allowed to show such vulnerability. I will not let this tragedy take its toll upon me. Not in front of my people." she replied, her words bold and strong as she kept her chin held high. The only remaining descendant of the royal family, the last man standing. She will not falter, she refused to let her pain show. Not in front of her people, not in front of them. She lowered her hand, eyes glimmering with faith beneath the sunlight. "Yes, of course. I have no objections, King Azazel." if anything, she wants to avoid any troubles at all cost. The queen didn't trust their emperor neither did she, the previous heir. But for her people, her fallen kingdom, she would comply. She would offer her fealty if it meant peace within all three kingdoms. Her people had suffered enough loss, they need go through no more.
However, things didn't go as smoothly for Herod, who seemed rather reluctant but something caught her attention, something flickered within his golden orbs. What was it? Fight. She remained silent, knowing that it wasn't her place to speak nor stop their attempt to do so when it was one of Phobo's traditions though if the Emperor was angered, it would do him no good.

It seemed that with his words, the emperor would have an air he felt too familiar. He opened his golden eyes to see a slight boil of crimson on his lower iris, though it faded when he addressed the queen. It was just like his father. His arms merely crossed though while he awaited his turn was the man. His words weren't as, sugar coated as other nobles, and it seemed to had gotten him a bit of notoriety with the elder nobles around the country. He'd merely look at the emperor as he showered the woman with compliments like the rain. Though he'd get none of that he knew as he turned to him. Herod's stoic look locked with the taller man while he scratched his chin.
This man spoke much to him on his position though Herod merely nodded them off. The man's words were like wine to him, meant to divert his consciousness from what he was to do. He'd shake his head a bit while the offer came out to him. "A duel isn't something I asked for. That's not the way of a Phobian, to fight amongst who could be ally." He'd retort to him while. adjusting the black cape over his shoulder. "Rather, I'd want to see your worth on the front, a battlefield. A ball of unfamiliar nobles, even a council between orders. You are not deemed worthy of complete fealty, until you have stood in the throne and preformed an action that deems you such." He'd say while patting his sword twice. "It is no disrespect in nature, just how my mother taught me. And how I'd want to be treat as a King." He'd then look to the Queen, before turning his head back to the Emperor. If he was going to kill the King of Phobos he would have to wait until his army was well rested and blood thirsty, so instead Azazel nodded his head "Of course" he said to him "But, since you will not pledge fealty to me I will be sending one of my children to Phobos to keep an eye on things." Azazel stated "If you will not pledge fealty then I do not want to take the chance of Phobos leaning toward rebellion." The Emperor said to him. Azazel would then look over at Ophelia once more as he held out his hand "My lady, I would like to offer you a tour of the castle grounds so we may speak of what I may do to help quicken Ethe's recovery" he said to her as he looked toward the gardens "If we may your highness?" he said to her.

Stuck in between the tense discussion exchanged between the two men, Ophelia could only remain silent. Herod had a point and if only her kingdom was as well supplied, she wouldn't have handed over her fealty so easily but to ensure the safety of her people, it was the only thing she could do. By establishing a connection with the new heir to the throne: Azazel Drosselmeyer. It wasn't hard to tell that the emperor was angered by Herod's words. The tension in the atmosphere wasn't hard to miss but she had grown accustomed to such situations. How she had wished she wasn't born into nobility.
Her eyes caught hold of the hand that was extended towards her and was soon requested to head inside to speak further regarding her fallen kingdom. Her gaze would return to Herod as she lowered her head and gave him a curtsy. "How unfortunate. I would've stayed a little longer to speak but it seems I must depart." her gaze flicked upwards, locking onto the pair of golden orbs. "I hope our next encounter would be a much pleasant one. I hope you have a pleasant day ahead of you, King Herod." with that, she lifted her gaze and offered him a smile before she took the hand the emperor had offered her. With fingers gently placed upon his, she said: "I terribly apologize for troubling you over such matters. I offer my eternal gratitude to you in the place of my people." she spoke, allowing him to escort her within the castle walls. She felt a little uneasy though. It was almost impossible for the emperor to offer help yet expect nothing in return.

My dear cousins Apollion and Mikhail assassinated in their own home, one by an unknown assailant and another by their own Step-Mother. I simply do not want to have a repeat of what just happened no less then a year ago" he said to Herod "And if you wish to escort them back to Phobos then you may stay here if you like, however I have not made my decision as to whom will go. And on that note I doubt any of them would enjoy being escorted anywhere, they're all strong willed you see." Azazel said to Herod, his genuine smile still upon his lips "I may though be sending one of my three eldest. My second son is very strong mentally, his tactics are beyond reproach. My first daughter would flourish within the boarders of Phobos but perhaps not in a good way, and my second daughter may enjoy Phobos much more then my first as it is part of her heritage and it seems that her blood shows just as much fire in it as the rest of the Phobosan people" he said to Herod "If you wish to meet them they're probably eating breakfast or something" Herod shrugged before looking back at Ophelia "So, tell me my lady, were is it that Ethe needs the most help at this moment?" he asked her as he lead her toward the Solarium.
