Whispers of leaves moved by wind, birds singing, marching ants or murmus of a stream somewhere in a distance... Which songs makes you think of a forest? Calming you down or giving that mysterious feel that woods during the night have? Or maybe something else? It's time for music recommendations!
Let me start, hiding songs under spoilers. Personaly, I usually don't pay as much attention to the lyrics as to the overall feel of the song. Daylight forest for me is something relaxing, calming and peaceful, while dark forest is something mysterious, dangerous, but also somehow tempting, and I've tried to choose songs according to that.
Right now you can hear crickets chirping here in Korea.
It reminds me of staying at my Aunt's place out in the woods. I always loved staying at her place, you can hear the crickets, grasshoppers, frogs, owls, geese, ducks and other animals every night.
For me, Scandinavian folk music and herd calls are a favorite for a forest feel. Or folk inspired music. I'll put together a list too. smile
Eyyy, I saw Wardruna and Therion! I was debating putting Eluveitie in mine, but they're a little too deathy for an atmospheric forest scene, I think.

My top four would probably have to be Locked Within the Crystal Ball, Cartouche, The Circle and Morning Star. Not entirely sure why none of them made the list, haha. I was pretty much just putting down whatever came to mind.

Mermaids, sirens, goddesses, Arthurian legend, nymphs, etc should all be 100% ok for strega though xD

A sea witch, how cool would be that! Especially in the late autumn, when the sea is more stormy, but it's still warm enough to take a walk on the beach and collect little treasures.

Coastal Strega:
-Washed out and tattered clothing
-Thick baggy cardigans to warm you up after a soggy trip to the beach
- Shell pendants
- Woven anklets and bare feet to walk on the sand
-Windswept hair and chapped lips
- Woven string charm bracelets because metal ones would be eaten away by the salt water
-Fabric hand wraps to to fight off the cold
-A big loose scarf to cover your mouth so you don’t swallow as much salt water
- Smelling like beach bonfires and salt

I love ambient music. This album really comes to mind for dark forest:
