Mathilda walked down a random hallway in the Ares dorm. She was humming to herself, thinking about the last few days. She was glad to be back where it was warm, snow and bird free. Turning the corner, she noticed someone coming down the hall. "Hey!" She called out and moved toward the man. "Hallo! I don't know if you remember me from the bonfire. You're Edward, right? Mathilda Callahan!"

Ed was on his way back from grabbing a bite to eat, literally. He had an apple in his hand as he let himself back into the Ares dorms, a few bite marks missing from one side. He didn't quite notice anyone else he might have been passing, attention on his light breakfast. Not until someone seemed to be hailing him. Pausing, he glanced up at the blonde he'd seen that first night at the bonfire. Tearing off a piece of the apple, he chewed, swallowed, wiped at any stray juice with the back of his hand, and offered the other in greeting. "Hi, yeah. I remember you." He'd seen her around periodically, though not during the thing in the alps.

Mathilda grinned at the man. She felt kind of bad for interrupting him mid bite, but he didn't seem to be offended. "Sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt your breakfast!" Mathilda didn't know much about this man, so she simply resorted to keeping the questions light and not personal, for now. "Were you heading anywhere?

He waved off the apology, shoulders rolling in a small shrug. At this point he was getting pretty used to there not being much by way of alone time. Interruptions came in many forms, and what might have bothered him before, just didn't seem quite so much an annoyance now. "It's fine, don't worry about it." Said apple was rolled between thumb and forefinger, but he held off on taking another bite. Didn't want to be rude, hungry or not. "Back to my room to change. I was considering trying to find someone that might be up to a little training." He'd already had his morning run, but it was pretty obvious now that what they were going to be dealing with was no joke.

Mathilda winced as she realized that she did in fact interrupt the mans morning. She could also tell that he wasn't going to finish eating, if only to save face. "Please, do finish eating! I feel bad for interrupting you. I would feel terrible if your breakfast went bad." She ushered for the man to eat, before responding again. "Oh? Training? What weapon do you use?"

He glanced down at his apple again, and with the continued prompting took another bite. He really was hungry, and if he didn't eat it soon it'd be too brown to enjoy. He could get another, easily, but it would have been a waste. But this meant she'd have to wait for him to chew and swallow the bite before he could answer. "Mm, yeah." A pause, the back of his hand rubbing at his mouth to clear away any juice, then he'd continue. "I'm partial to the war hammer. It's different than what I'd be used to." And, well, the fact that it was a giant hammer didn't hurt either. Not that he had anything to prove, despite Asher's insistence he was over compensating.

Laughing, Mathilda smiled. "A war hammer! I've seen those do massive damage in one swing! What a great weapon. I'm partial to the dagger myself, may try more than one, since it's more my style!" She was used to stashing several blades on her person, or nearby, and only having one made her feel naked. She grimaced internally. "If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing before hand, to become a Chosen of Ares?" She was really curious about the people she would be living with, considering her background. But still, considering modern wars, being a Chosen of Ares could mean a background of many different jobs.

Ed flashed a small smile. "It's definitely different than anything else I've had experience with." Which wasn't saying much, as Ed hadn't used weapons in his job, nor in the ring when he was boxing. any weapon would have been vastly different, except brass knuckles. The smile slipped a little when she asked what he'd been doing before he'd been chosen, and had to decide how much he felt like sharing. Chances were good, given a couple of people knew by now, that his exact profession would come out eventually, but he really didn't seem in much of a hurry to help it spread along. "I was a bouncer, keeping the peace," he offered, recovering alright. "And I did underground boxing on the side for some extra cash." Which would have explained the bruises upon his initial arrival. "Yourself?" He thought maybe she'd mentioned it at the bonfire, but he honestly couldn't remember.
