"Cosmos, Goddess of Harmony..."
"Chaos, God of Discord..."
The Conflict of the Gods...
A war that waged hero and villain against one another in a divine struggle to win supremacy for their respective god.
Cosmos, the goddess of harmony who supported the heroes...
Chaos, the god of discord who led the villains...
The path of this divine conflict reaches many conclusions. In one, the heroes emerge victorious in the thirteenth cycle, restoring light to the land. In another, the heroes are snuffed out, and the villains decay, until nothing remains except a god who had lost all sanity. In another... an endless struggle. A struggle that reached a climax, and completely reset...
The cycle of battle is endless--when one side wins, those who had fallen are purged of their memories and brought back to fight again. But this was different--the entire timeline was completely reset. And now, the conflict will begin anew with new champions drawn from a world that crosses all others.
In the world of Gaia, in Neo Midgar City, heroes and villains began to vanish. Presumably called back to their home of origin, but they would instead awaken to see they were brought to the stage of war between divine powers. Upon arrival, their memories were completely purged, and they stood alongside strangers fighting against strangers for an ideal they didn't necessarily believe in. Yet still, the only possibility of returning to the place they once called home was in battle... so battle they must.
[This RP will take place in an parallel dimension to our guild's RP, Neo Midgar, where heroes and villains from that RP will be brought here to fight for one side or the other. If you want to play an original in this RP, they must be present in Neo Midgar, unless you get permission. Just PM me. If you'd like to join, PM me (Magvel) stating what character you'd like to play! Easy as that. Even if you don't play a Final Fantasy character in Neo Midgar, you are still allowed to play that character if you wish as long as they aren't taken!]

Cosmos, Goddess of Harmony...
The serene, maternal goddess who summoned heroes from across the lands to be her champions. Her intentions seem to be pure, wanting only to defeat the God of Discord, Chaos, and allow her heroes to return to the world from whence they came. In doing so, she would ensure harmony for the world she calls home.

Chaos, God of Discord...
The calm, vile god who summoned villains to snuff out the light and crush the heroes. His intentions are malicious, intending to destroy the goddess and usher in a world of discord--or destroy the world entirely, possibly along with all his champions.

Overworld

The overworld is the area between gateways, the area that makes up the majority of the world in Dissidia. In this world, there are gateways that can be accessed in many different areas, which take characters into the areas that can be used for congregation or battle.
There are two sections to the overworld--the Lands of Cosmos and the Lands of Chaos. As it can be inferred, the Lands of Cosmos are the safest areas for Warriors of Cosmos to be in, while the Lands of Chaos are the safest areas for the Warriors of Chaos to reside in.
[Song: Overworld]
Lands of Cosmos
Cornelia Plains - The main region encompassing Cornelia and Pravoka, as well as the Southern Lufenia Gateway that acts as a blockade to the northern continents. Lies in the north-east of the southern landmasses.
Melmond Fens - The region in which lies the Melmond swamplands and the Western Keep, also contains the Chasm in the Rotting Land and Curses and Hopes of Yore gateways on the landmass to the west near the Cavern of Earth. Lies in the west of the southern landmasses.
Elven Snowfields - A region lying in a snowstorm surrounded by ice-capped mountains, contains the Shinryu Isles and Ryukahn Desert at its far eastern area, and the Marsh Cave in the west, which is the location of the Land of the Stolen Crown gateway. Lies in the south of the southern landmasses.
Ancient Volcano Ring - Gulg - Centering around Mount Gulg, includes the eastern outlying areas around Crescent Lake. Lies in the east of the southern landmasses.
Lands of Chaos
Mirage Sandsea - Centered around the Yahnikurm Desert and Mirage Tower, also encompasses Lufenia and Gaia, and contains the Dreams of a Flying Castle and The Forsaken Lands gateways. Lies in the north-east area of the map.
Bahamut Isles - A strip of land corresponding to the Cardia Islands chain in World A, contains the Citadel of Trials along with The Dragon King's Gateway. Lies in the center northern area of the map.
Land of Discord - Consisting of Onrac and the desert regions to the west, also contains a chain of floating islands on the east coast. Lies in the north-west part of the map.
The Order's Sanctuary

The area that acts as the throne of Cosmos, and the main area of congregation for her warriors. A wide landscape comprised of calming waters as the flooring, small ruins scattered about the sanctuary It can be used as a battleground, however it is rare for any of Chaos's warriors to be able to invade the sanctuary. This is the safest area for Cosmos's champions to gather.
[Song: Cosmos]
Edge of Madness

The area that acts as the throne of Chaos, and the main area of congregation for his warriors. This area is could be realistically described as a hellscape, comprised of chaotic lava and dark colors, along with swords stabbed into the ground which could only realistically be used by giants. In the center is a platform that extends high into the sky, which has stairs that can be ascended to reach Chaos's actual throne. This small space can be used as a battleground, but as with the Order's Sanctuary, it is a rarity for a warrior of Cosmos to infiltrate the throne. This is the safest area for Chaos's champions to gather.
[Song: Chaos]
Gateways

Gateways are magical portals scattered throughout the overworld that can be accessed by heroes or villains. The shape of these gateways can take all kinds of shapes, all of which are based on fragments of the memories of the heroes and villains gathered. These make up the main areas of congregation or battle outside of the thrones of the goddess and god themselves. All of the following areas can be accessed through a gateway, and all are based on the memory of a hero or villain that is either currently fighting, or had been previously. The gateways go to random incarnations of these areas, so it doesn't matter who accesses the gateway, they can still be transported to an area that has nothing to do with them or their world. However, in times of heated battle or conflicting ideals, gateways are more likely to manifest the areas that are connected to the warrior's memories.
Final Stand

[Based on the memories of Zack Fair.]
A mostly rocky area with a cliff at the edge. The cliff is as far as one can travel, but from the edge one can see the city of Midgar close by. In cycles where the Buster Sword has no owner participating in the war, the blade can be seen stabbed into the ground here, on that cliff overlooking Midgar.
[Song: The Price of Freedom]
The Black Temple

[Based on the memories of Ephraim.]
The hall of the ruins of a perhaps once great temple. A large area with two sides symmetrical to one another. It seems like there was once a great evil here, and a difficult battle was waged to quell that evil, but it's impossible to know for certain.
[Song: Powerful Foe]
Magatsu Inaba

[Based on the memories of Tohru Adachi.]
A somewhat spacious area that has a surreal crimson glow around it. The area resembles a destroyed rural city, with tattered police tape covering a lot of the rubble. Despite not technically feeling different from other gateways, it still could give a person an uneasy feeling just being here. A heavy fog that hides the truth is perpetually here.
[Song: Fog]
Inverse Nirvana

[Based on the memories of Julio Slade]
A grey void where reality twists and bends with no clear logic or purpose. Each staircase that seems to exist on another plane of existence has its own gravitational pull, so if one goes close enough they'll be pulled out of their own and onto that staircase. Each staircase can be accessed by simply walking, however. The eerie feeling of loneliness and isolation that this area gives is almost suffocating.
