Mathilda glared up at the birds in the tree. There she was, minding her own business, when one tried to land in her hair. The cold was making it a bit difficult to braid her hair, and the bird had the audacity to land in it! If the thing had come out and attack her, it would have been fine. But it went for the hair, and that meant death. A painful death. MATHILDA: 45 SOON TO BE DEAD BIRDS: 52 ATTACK: 4 + 1 roll Quote: This opponent is difficult solo, and pairs are suggested! A small swarm of birds spot you and swoop in like they're of one mind to attack. Their bronze beaks glint wickedly, and their metallic feathers catch the sunlight. They attack by launching these feathers or by flinging their poisonous dung. Hit points: 60 Damage: 5 damage each time they are attacked. If you successfully kill this bird, each party involved in the battle gets 15XP and rolls 1d100 to collect loot according to the following: 1-60: You gain nothing but the victory of having beaten this opponent. 61-75: Poisonous Dung: You manage to collect a vial of the vile stuff. It can thrown at an opponent once to poison them, dealing 1 damage for 3 turns. After this it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 76-90: Heart's Blood: You manage to collect a vial of the creature's blood. It can be used once to replenish 3 HP, at which point it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 91-100: Metal Feather: Once per battle, you can backstab with this small dagger. Add 2 to your final damage. This item is reusable, and remains in your inventory.

Mercy was looking for Mathilda when she spotted her chilling outside. She decided to try and scare her, put her assassin skills to the test. What she ended up doing was the exact opposite. Instead of becoming a ninja, Mercy tripped on a branch and landed face first into the snow right beside her blonde friend. Stats Mercy's HP: 50 - 5 = 45Weapon: War Hammer Melee -- Heavy Mod: 10 damage, -1 to hit SMALL SWARM Hit points: 52 - 0 = 52 Damage: 5 each time attacked

"Well, I was trying to surprise you, but apparently, I can't even do that!" Mercy took the hand that was offered to her, only to have some s**t thrown at her jacket. "Really?!" She took a swing at the bird that decided it would be fun to spoil her already messed up jacket, but she missed, throwing herself off balance. Laughing at Mercy'a frustration Mathilda threw her dagger, before turning to the woman. "So apparently these birds really have it out for you and me when its the two of us. Okay, this was starting to become sad. Mercy squeaked failed to duck in time as a bird flung some s**t at her. "Uck!" She sighed and looked to Math with the look of a defeated puppy. Mathilda stabbed her dagger into the bird that attacked Mercy, bringing it to the ground. She rounded on another and threw the blade, launching the blade into its wing. "I think they really like you! Noticing the girls change in attitude, Mathilda asked up and patted her on the head, like a child. "Hey, it's okay! No need to get sad, we're still ready to go, we can beat these birds!"
