There she sat next to the door, hearing them talk about the problem at hand. Why was everyone so eager to help out? Clearly they should be rioting against them not against... her. Was she perhaps too bitter? Absolutely. Hurt? You bet your sweet a** she was hurt. The highblood tried her best not to cry or scream like she normally would've done. It was as if she didn't have enough tears to pour. The queen of hate had no tears left and therefore she suffered so much more. Eridia asked herself every question she could think of: what, why, how come... slowly turning her sadness into to anger. It wasn't her fault, it was the crew's. She just said the truth, then again... The truth always got her in trouble. Why was that? Why is it so much easier to throw a facade and play pretend than being your true self?

How wise was it for her to break all the windows? Would that be enough to get her killed? No, they'd let her live, they'd certainly let her stumble in the everlasting nightmare she provoked. She lazily kicked a stone, two, three... then she stood up at threw whatever she could find at the darkness in front of her. She wasn't even aware of Papion's presence and if she did, she'd gladly give herself up and let him eat her.

Kolako had managed to slip out of meeting unnoticed, slipping outside in an attempt to maybe manage to make peace with the teen, shellshocked at the happenings of earlier that night. The brownblod was silent but alert, looking around the area for any clues as to where Eridia might've been. Instead, the red blood's first view was that of her own lusus, standing up and stalking to the purpleblood with slight anger. She'd flung a rock at him, and Papi wasn't up for discussion or playing around that night. It was cold. As Papion slid into Eridia's general view, the redblood quickly placed herself in between the two, saving Eridia yet again from being devoured by her lusus. Koko placed a hand on his muzzle, patting him firmly before turning her complete attention to the purpleblood.

"Eridia." Kolako murmured, eyes serious and curious. They were empty of their usual eagerness. It was funny, really, how much Kolako pushed herself to be friendly and nice. Her normal attitude on life was so much less enthusiastic, so she dramatized much of it. The brownblood felt her shoulders holding so much more than her head, now. "...Why did you do that?"

Plain, simple, straightforward. Basic Kolako, something that was obvious she didn't play around with.

That last stone she threw hit something. The sounds of beast and perhaps smaller critters stopped for a moment. Eridia looked around as she heard something move, or rather scrape the rocky ground. She stood still, eyes fixed at the beast that approached her. Eridia gulp, thinking this was it. She had gone so far in life, it was time to kiss it goodbye while the giant lion lusus ate her. However, as soon as the teen gave up on her life and prepared to feel Papion's tusks tearing her flesh apart, Kolako appeared and seemed to calm the beast down.

She felt her knees going weak, and fell on them. Eridia had to admit, she felt half heartedly relieved. The lavenderblood looked back at the child's empty eyes with a dead expression. At least she was honest and straightforward, that Eridia appreciated just a little.

"Why did I do what?" She said bitterly. "Speak back? Say the truth?"

Eridia tightened her fists before slowly releasing the tension and putting them on her lap. "Listen Kolako, what I do or don't do or even stop doing... it has nothing to do with you, alright?" The highblood gulp and did her best to give Koko a smile. But as soon as she smiled it fell to a saddened frown. "Don't... meddle. This is my business, mine only. The reason why this happened, the reason why I did that... I'm not telling you. I..." Eridia breathed in. Could she really rely on a kid? Would she even understand?

"...It brings pain to my bloodpusher. And all I want right now is to avoid that." That's all she's been doing these past few years. Numbing the pain for even a little while, holding it in as long as she could so she could move one. Yet one this Eridia didn't know, that pain she's been holding back, would only show itself stronger the moment when she felt it.

Kolako watched Eridia fall with the same blank eyes she always had, listening to her words, expression unchanged. "This is my business too." Kolako said firmly, struggling to keep her words as serious as she could make them and not sound like a kid. "You're-- my amiga. They're my amigos. All of you are my friends. You said some mean things to them. I can tell them what you really meant, and you can all be friends again! Eridia, tell me. Puedo ayudar. I can help!" She didn't understand why the reason brought her pain. How did it bring her pain? She'd acted like she knew them before, somehow. Was her pain somehow related to them?

Either way, Eridia was probably blowing this completely out of proportion. She'd always been a little spoiled and dramatic, but that was alright. She was a city girl, and they could be spoiled if they wanted to be. Dramatics, too. Kolako saw that as normal, considering what she'd seen in the woods almost a sweep ago, now. She just needed help. Maybe some guidance. "Why does it give you pain? Did saying those things help with your pain? Por que? Why?" Kolako was too curious, and too nosy to stop. She just wanted to help her friend get over her problems, to be there for her so she didn't have to go through this on her own.

"Are you still in pain now?"

She rolled her eyes when the child went on and on about making them all friends. No way in hell would Eridia ever be "friends" with those nutjobs, not after the threats or whatever other dramas she probably made up in her head.

"I don't need them to be my friends." She didn't need friends in general. All the trolls she got attached to seemed to be two-faced liars and backstabbers. "If I were to tell you what I really wanted to day to them, my lady-like appeal would be shattered instantly." Eridia would've definitely use too many cuss words if she wasn't a decent troll. "Sweetie I can tell you really want to help but you can't. Stop being foolish."

Eridia wasn't going to get played with her mind again. "You can't help me nor you can save everyone. Listen child, there are trolls who are going to destroy themselves no matter how much you try to help them. And sadly..." She took a deep breath. "I'm... I'm one of them."

Why did it gave her pain? Her mind went back to the time she first met Tigwyn and the crew, she was speaking the truth back then hadn't she? How she tried to act like an adult, and what did they do? They laughed in her face after she did so and even after she apologized and offered to help-- for her own benefits yes, but they weren't budging. They didn't let her do what she wanted back then and the whole thing turned out to be a ploy to humiliate her. The lavenderblood shuddered, thinking back and remembering hurt, she forced herself to stop thinking about it. As she knew very well she'd start to think about that damned ball.

"Are you still in pain now?"

Eridia looked back at Koko, she wasn't exactly fine. Calling them out, being rude... no. She thought it'd help, she honestly thought it take the pain in her chest away but clearly it didn't. That didn't made them forget who she was, nor did that made her forget who she used to be. The highblood slowly shook her head, breathing heavily as her eyes watered once more.

"It didn't..." Her face was flushed and her sniffnode started to get stuffy. "But... at least... I won't suck up because of their former titles. I'm too good for that-- I respect trolls who respect other's regardless of age, not some foolish group that accepts other's sweet or intellectual words to make them important. You have no idea what they did to me Kolako. Each and everyone of them is dead to me, I would never be their friends nor a comrade. Their Helmsman?"

She got closer to the child, eyes widened, restless and filled with sudden desperation. Tigwyn died in front of her-- because of her, and she was proud. At least she thought she was. "I got him killed." Eridia whispered, holding the child's shoulders. Her tone seemed as if she hadn't told a soul this incident-- a secret at was driving her nuts.

"I culled him..." She repeated relentlessly. "I got him killed... and it's only a matter of time... I'll get them all dead."

Kolako deflated at her words-- Somehow, she didn't understand her desire not to be friends with them. All her life, she'd been searching, trying so hard to make friends, and yet, this troll didn't want them as friends. It was something she couldn't get through her head. Kolako needed a moment to think, this new information being seemingly hard to grasp. "I--" She was interrupted by Eridia again, more words entering her already confused mind. She looked up, more determined than hopeful. "I do wanna help! And I will! Because I'm your friend!" Kolako said firmly, jutting a finger at her own chest, body more expressive than her own face. This, she was sure. Eridia had treated her like a friend during Bloodfest, and they'd become close when she'd first met her, so...?!

Kolako kept listening, feeling her blood pusher pump a little faster, a large pressure placed upon it. "Porque?! Why are you "one of them"?! You can just be yourself! You're really cool, Eridia, you just gotta show 'em!" She waited, listening to her further, feeling a slight distrust toward the crew now that she heard the purpleblood speak. At the end of her long spiel, trying to stay focused throughout all of it, the brownblood watched as she came nearer, listening to her words, as she was held, a little confused.

      Kolako looked at her blankly.

"Y? And?" Kolako asked, seemingly unfazed by her declaration of death. Sure, it was a little shocking to hear that the purpleblood killed him, or well, got him killed, but that was normal, especially for her. Kolako shrugged. "That's... life? Morimos... We live, we die?" Kolako murmured, thoughtful. "I've killed a lot of beasts! I've seen a lot of trolls die. Y enverdad, it's not that big of a deal." Actually, Kolako didn't know who or what a Helmsman was. Neither did she understand the Space Crew and their point. But now, she knew from Eridia, that they were bad people. Maybe all of them were bad people? But they were so nice, so...

These question she asked herself were becoming too much for her. She liked to pride herself on her knowledge, but really, when it came down to it, Kolako only understood and processed half of what she was told. "It sucks they lost their friend, pero you can just apologize, right? Why did you get him killed, and, and... Did he try and kill you? Is that why?" Kolako frowned. She needed the information simple-like, not something so hard to understand. It was a strain, especially for her. "C-can't you just tell me? I really... Quiero ayudar! I wanna help!"

Papion, meanwhile, understood this perfectly. He merely watched Eridia with still eyes, waiting for the right moment to slam his foot on her, should she try anything toward his charge.

"Kolako, please stop. Please don't try to help me, you are better off without me PLEASE." The highblood had a tighter grip on the girl. "I can't be helped, I can't be myself... That old girl you met back then, she's dead Koko. She's dead now!" Her voice was shaky and her eyes just weren't fixed on the child anymore. She wanted to know the truth, but Eridia couldn't say it. She didn't have the sanity to tell it. Her lips quivered, Eridia felt her blood draining from her face as she saw Tigwyn taking away her bullet over and over again. She couldn't understand why she thought she was making a mountain over a mole hill or simply crying over spilled milk.

"He did. He killed me when he died. He took away my sanity-- a part of me, knowing very well I wanted it, I wanted that bullet... He knew I'd be in debt to him. He left me here... He left me to experience horrors beyond our understanding. I'll ruin them... His memory too... For him, I'll do it for him." She was already too broken to formulate clear answers. It was true Tigwyn ruined her life somehow, as she only seeked revenge but Gerard, he took every last drop of sanity she had. Not even talking to that troll at Civisect helped her sort things out permanently. Because Gerard took whatever she had with him and Eridia foolishly thought it was Tigwyn who had taken it. She took her hands off Koko's shoulders and crossed her arms. The tears she tried so hard to keep back started to ruin her make up and trail down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry..." She whispered, not wanting to break in front of the lowblood. The highblood knew sooner or later she'd want to hurt her as well. She needed few reasons to, and she knew in her heart she would do it without remorse. Maybe that was something else that tortured her: the way she ruined things without thinking twice. Eridia wouldn't tell a soul what ran wildly in her mind, specially not to a pure child like Kolako. "I can't... you are simply too young... Please. Stay away from me. Can you do that? Please..." She said softer and softer until she shouted,

"STAY AWAY!"

Kolako could feel her pump biscuit fall more and more with every word the other spoke, and after she finished, she felt her shaking hands clench with frustration and anger. Kolako was trying to help. Eridia wasn't letting her. She'd have understood if it was some other troll, but... But... Kolako felt her hands unclench. "S-she can't be dead, she's right in front of me..." Kolako said softly, bottom lip quivering as she looked to the white ground, staring at the purple drops of color on the pure, white snow. She didn't feel any true emotion, more a detached emptiness, a feeling of something that might've never been there. She couldn't give up, but.

      Maybe she'd been too slow.

When did this start? Kolako knew she hadn't seen it during bloodfest. Maybe she'd ignored it. Maybe she hadn't noticed it.

      Maybe it'd always been there.

Kolako's hand balled up once more. She was treating her like a child. She wasn't a child. Or-- Or was she? She was trying so hard to be more independent, especially from Papi, but... In reality, she was just a kid. A tiny, worthless kid with the inability to do anything right.

She couldn't even help her first friend.

Kolako tensed after her scream, lips pursed, eyes wide, words spiraling all around her head like a windmill. Her head fell to look at the floor. She opened her mouth. Closed it. Breathed in and out, and looked right back up at her, eyes defiant. She ran toward Eridia with her arms outstretched, wrapping them around the purpleblood in a quick, tight, lovely embrace. It meant more than just "feel better." She hoped it felt like "you can talk to me, whenever you're ready." She quickly released and looked up at her, giving her a small, worried frown. Around Eridia's waist was none other than the scarf Kolako had worn. "I'm sorry I couldn't help more..." She whispered, before running back into the small hut, door sliding shut behind her with a light thwump.

Papion had already shuffled away, leaving the purpleblood alone on the empty mountain, a small, warm hut near her, and yet, very, very alone.
