The day had finally come, the day when he would finally, after so long, get to talk to his dear sister. His sweet little sister whom he needed to talk to, the little girl that had changed his life when she came into the world. With his back pressed to the tree, the white haired man had his eyes closed as he hummed a familiar tune to those who knew the song. He seemed to be trying to keep himself relatively dry from the rain by hiding beneath the branches of the ancient tree, it's branches having twisted and curled from the years it had stood against time. "It's almost time, sweet pea.." he said softly, opening his eyes as the rain picked up as a low rumble of thunder rolled through the sky after a bright flicker of lightning not too far off.
"It's almost time for us to talk..." He whispered, looking up towards the tree branches, his red eyes narrowing as another bolt of lightning struck a little closer.

Ashral had waited as long as she could for Ree to show but the time had come and she wouldn't miss it now. She had to talk to Shogu and this might have been her only chance. She had used all her teleports to get most of the way there before walking the rest of the way, eyes focused to the ground as she muttered to herself. When she started into familiar terrain, she looked up to see the tree just in the distance and then looked up to the sky, finally realizing it had even been raining the whole time and she was soaking wet. The crack of lightning overhead didn't even scare her as just took in a deep breath of the rain-filled air. Looking back down to the tree, someone was there and she reached a hand up to grip her arm. It took her a moment but she pushed on towards the tree she knew so well.
As she walked close enough to see his face, she sighed with relief even if her nervousness remained. She smiled softly at him. "Brother.. it's been a very long time." she greeted with a longing expression, happy to see him again.
Tilting his head down as he heard someone getting closer, Shogu smiled as he saw his beloved sister. Standing up fully, only two inches taller than her, he opened up his arms to welcome her into a hug, his eyes sliding to look past her as he saw the slight glimmer of a magical wall shimmer as the power was activated, then as it took hold, it faded to just a slight speckle, near impossible to tell where it was thanks to the rain. "It has been a very long time, sister. I hope the travel has been well, the weather here has not been too kind, though." he smiled, a rather warm, almost comforting smile as he looked into her eyes.

She chuckled slightly, "The travel was wet..", then smiled genuinely, "but it was well.." she added then exhaled as she stepped forward and hugged him tightly. There were tears in her eyes out of the joy of seeing Shogu once more. "I feared I'd never see you again... but somehow destiny has come into play and here you and I are once more.." she spoke softly, a overjoyed smile on her face. She thought for a moment, then took a deep breath, "I don't know by what miracle has brought us back together... All I've ever known was that I when I had died, I regreted never telling you the truth." She bit her lip nervously, "..back then,.. that I had truly loved you. Probably much more than I should have..."
The embrace was surprisingly warm and lingered a little longer than intended, but as he pulled away to look at her, he smiled. It was a strange smile, but it was his smile, one that was slightly off-center and with one side tilted up a little higher than the other. "Well, perhaps it was your love that gave us this chance to speak again, or my longing to speak to you myself, as we never truly got a chance to talk...more so on the grounds of this love..." Shogu smile a little more, narrowing his eyes a little as he continued to look at Ashral, both of his hands on her shoulders. "We could have done so much good together..."

Ashral blinked in slight surprise but then narrowed slightly in pain and nervousness. "This.. is unexpected... Almost a dream honestly.." she chuckled a bit uneasily as she looked away to the ground. "I think back then I would have been so enthralled by such words..." her breath quickened as she she reached to grab her arm but stopped then took a deep breath. "There is someone here that I love.. he was supposed to come with me and meet you.. but I don't where he is. I love him with all my heart.. even if I know he doesn't feel the same way. I wanted him to, but it's not there." she explained, her voice beginning to break. "It's okay, even if my love is one-sided, I still want to stand next to him." she was holding back a flood of tears that threatened her eyes but she stood her ground against her own heartbreak. She looked up to Shogu, "It's a little tragic, isn't it?" she forced a smile, trying to fight back her sadness about it, but merely pushed forward.
Shogu watched his sisters reactions, his smile slowly turning from the warm, slightly twisted one, to one that was more of a grin, but he was trying to hide it under a some what sad look in his eyes, "Well...I would have love to meet the man that you so love.." his sad look twisted a little bit more, his eyes widening a little bit as he gripped Ashral's shoulders tight. "Even if he doesn't love you in the same way that you love him, there's still some form of trust there...and trust..communication..those are two things you need in a relationship...but.." he paused and looked up and to the right, as if thinking.
"Though, there is something much more tragic than loving someone who won't love you back.."

She watched him, a sad look in her eyes. As he gripped her shoulder's tighter, she winced a bit, "Yes... I trust him, and.. I think-... no, I know he trusts me. And we talked a lot before he went missing..." she responded, a sorrowful look on her face as she really had wanted Ree to be there, so that she wasn't so nervous about it all. She had opened her mouth to say something but Shogu was still talking, something that was much more tragic then a one-sided love. She frowned, "The only thing that I could think that's more tragic..." she took a breath and looked at him in the eyes, pain in her own. "...was that when I loved you, I let that get in the way of telling the truth about what happened... I.. I killed our parents without realizing it.. and when I finally did realize it, I lied to you.. because I didn't want you to hate me. I'm.. sorry." she confessed then went silent, almost defeated within her own regret for never admitting it.
Months ago he would have flown through the storm teasing his way through the flashes with Tri flying high above him as they carefully tried to fly the winds of the storm. Risky, stupid but fun, even for someone as uptight at Tri he loosen up enough to fly a storm...loving it even if it was hard to see.If it was due to his item or not he never could figure out.
That was then and this was now, flying hard against the rain and wind toward the tree with visibility being near impossible at points. Lighting crackling against the sky making him jerk with each crash as he kept as low as he could. That was until he reached the blank expanse that held the tree then it was just luck as he flew over the barren plains, clothing drenched but his wings barely wet as he focused on his telekinisis to shield them from the rain and save energy.
If it hadn't been Ashral and if this was any type of normal function he would be doubting himself that they would even be there except he was sure she would.
Exhaustion laid heavy on him as he just flew, mind blank as he looked for familiar landmarks and adjusted his course until he started to see the tree in the distance, finally...hopefully not to late. It wasn't that he was estatic to meet her brother...no it was to protect her encase he wanted to take revenge.
Circling around the tree once he spotted two figured far below and breathed a sigh of relief as he dove, pulling up as he got closer to the ground and suddenly hit a shield forcing him to absorb the force of his fall on his feet ahead of time the bounced off as he twisted automatically to move to all fours only to hit the ground and roll. Well ..sh**
He laid there for a moment then push himself to his feet covered in mud and looked as bedraggled as anything a cat brought in. ".....Hello. Sorry I'm late" attempting to brush some of it off then shrugging as he frowned touching the edge of the shield as his body complained of minor pains.

"Well, it's good to hear that you two seem to trust each other.." Shogu smiled, his hands still on her shoulders, his eyes narrowing a little bit as she confessed that she killed their parents. "Oh, I had a feeling it was you all along, sweet sister..." he started, though as something - no - someone ran into the magical barrier, he looked up and grinned. "Oh, look what the cat dragged in. I'm guessing he's the one, yes?" He asked, looking back towards Ashral. "My my, he looks an awful lot like me, doesn't he." Shogu joked, tilting his head a bit.
"And you're not late at all, my dear. You're just in time for the show." he chuckled and turned to look at his sister again. "For, you see, I had a plan, a very cunning plan, back then. I was going to kill you during that final game, but I hesitated... I didn't kill you. I ended up being killed instead, being cut down before my time, before I could marry the man I loved..." as he spoke, he dug his nails in more, his eyes narrowing as he started to grin. "We had a plan, the plan was to kill you and stick you in a sword, for you seemed to be the best candidate to have inside of a magical blade. A sword made with your own blood, with your own soul attached to it, craving for more blood, thirsting for it...it would have been perfect!" he started to laugh, "But we didn't get to go through with my plan, for I had died..I am so sorry, Xinyi..." he looked up, past Ashral, and out past Ree as well.
Ashral blinked in surprise. He had known. She didn't feel relief that he knew, only more guilt for what she had done, that he had known and she had just kept lying. At first it was honest, but as she began to remember, she knew she was the monster that killed their parents and he had just let her keep thinking it regardless.
A sudden sound against the barrier caught her attention as she saw Ree hit the ground. "Ree!" she called out, smiling that he had actually made it, she wanted to run to him but hesitated as Shogu mentioned that he looked very similar. "I'll admit that's what caught my attention with him.. but he's different.. He's not you.. He's Ree." she explained, even if it didn't make much sense, it made sense to her.
She looked back to Shogu as he began to speak of a plan, a slow fear growing in her expression as his retelling of how he died stirred up memories she had long forgotten. Of their game of hide-and-seek, how when he found her, he had tried to kill her, but she ended up killing him... with the same sword she was supposed to die by. Tears were building in her eyes as they spilled down her cheeks among the raindrops that had been left on her face. 'the man I loved'
Her eyes widened slightly in realization, "You.. you loved-..... and you didn't..." she bit her lip, beginning to understand the weight of what she had done. She winced again as his nails dug into the skin of her shoulders. "..st-stop.. you're hurting me.." she spoke quietly, trying to pull away gently, or at least make him realize his grip was really beginning to cause pain now.
As he continued, she stared at him in his red eyes, worry and fear mixing into what she understood was his story of what was more tragic than a one-sided love. Having love, and dying before they could have eloped. "....I....I didn't know... I'm sorry..." she half-plead, feeling horrible for how she made things turn out, even if he had been trying to kill her, she should have had enough control not to kill her own brother. "....Is that why you came back?... to find him?"

Ree rested his hand on the edge of the barrier and looked between them with a flicker of confusion then distrusts and growing alarm as Shugo..talked.
Exhaustion was plain on his face and a lot of it not only due to the trip as he ruffled his feathers a bit but did nothing as Shugo started to explain what happened before and what he wanted then. Ashral was focusing on the wrong thing....Shugo and his lover wanted to kill her and she killed him...there is no reason for apology.
Ree narrowed his eyes but just left a mud on the outside of the shield as he waited for an answer to Ashral's question. It had been to much to hope her brother wasn't derange but he had guessed.

"Oh yes, it was why I came back, to find him...but my soul was not strong enough to come back on my own. In fact, he found me, first...well, him and that host of his. That host he kept...the host he slowly broke over time to get him to become exactly what he needed." Shogu's grin became more wicked, much more twisted as he spoke. It was clear that being in a living body again after so long was exciting.
"For you see, it was not my plan..it was his. Xinyi was a known master of souls, but you would not have known...but he could tell that you..your soul was powerful." He let out a happy sigh, "So we came up with the plan to stick you in a sword that could harness your potential!" he laughed a bit, the laughter just as twisted as he was.
Appearing from the deep shadow of the tree [Shadow Manipulation, hiding], the six-foot-something light blonde-haired man appeared, quiet at first, as he circled around the two talking siblings to stand behind both of them. Completely ignoring Ree, he unsheathed a familiar sword. A physical one, one that was Ashral's, but at the same time - not. It was Hexxis' sword.
[warning: blood, gore, wounds]
Locking his eyes with Shogu, the man smiled a rather charming, charismatic, smile, he thrust the sword straight through Ashral, and Shogu's chest [80 plot damage].
As the sword went through his sisters, and then his, chest, he sputtered a bit, his eyes going wide. "X-xinyi..w-wh...why? Y...you were only..s-supposed to get her.." he stammered, stuck in place from the sword. He could feel the hosts body and soul fighting for control from the shock of what just happened, the disguise that he had been told to put up of himself starting to flicker.

Ashral listened to his story. One similar to her own, looking for one's lost love but then the admission that he had already found his love... No, that he had been found first, all of it beginning to push her mind to other reasons why he was still there. Was it really just talk to her? No, that twisted grin, she remembered that look, the one he gave her before their final fight, here at this very tree.
"Xinyi... He.." she was trying to back up now. Fear and anger in her expression. "Let go of me!" she demanded moving her hand to summon her own sword to her side as a precaution to fight him if he truly only came her to harm her. "Shogu, you don't have to do this... We can just be siblings... And you found your love.. So why are you doing th-..."
There was silence as her words were cut short when she felt the blade pierce through her heart. There was a hitched breath as she looked down at the blade, her eyes widened in horror from the unexpected attack from a second person. Her lack of strength caused her to be unable to unsheath her sword and even dropped it to the mud at her feet. She reached a shaky hand to the blade, gripping it with her hand to try to pry it from her but it was stuck fast between them. "...no..." She muttered sorrowfully then looked to Ree with tears in her eyes, reaching out to him weakly with her bloodied hand, but was too far to reach him, even if the barrier wasn't there. "...ree.. I-I'm sorry.." she could feel her vision getting blurry as she was still trying to fight to a stay awake even now but her heart could only beat for so long with such an injury before it would completely stop. The world was quickly slipping from her as she finally fell limp, forward into Shogu's arms and her breathing permanently ceased.
Ree pulled his hand back frowning as he listened intently to Shogu, pawn poor little pawn. For once glad he had misplaced Ashral's sword, who knew how that would set him off again if he had seen it with him.
Derange, Shugo was worse off than Ashral sticking to a failed plot and a once love as his reason for returning. At least she wanted to see him again talk to him. Fingers slide over the smooth surface of the barrier as he wanted to go in but there was still reason Ashral might be able to tal- "...no!" His wings flared out, spraying water around him as he stared aghast at what happened. "NO!!!!!..." Then time he roared getting a jump kick of adrenaline moving through him as he went cold, his eyes flickering from Ashral to the blonde hair man who had just appeared. His healing senses telling him there were only two living now in the barrier and one that was fading quickly.
Pain kicked kicked him in the stomach as he struggled with himself
Master of souls
Gasping he summoned his second artifact and used it before it even faded completely, teleporting through the barrier right in front of the blonde hair guy. ((Level 8: Sight teleport: 0 left. Light based teleport))
He took less than a second to adjust and grab at the sword before he turned his head after getting a good grip on the hilt of the sword, around the edge where the blonde man wasn't holding, if possible, to look at him and send out a killing blow at his nose to his brain. ((Telekinisis: Rolled: 27 )) ((if non-killable then a face/chest hit))
