 Connor 'stood', her hands on her hips, in the sports equipment room. Eyeing all the shelves of balls, gloves and various implements, she frowned and squinted her eyes. Though she knew, with absolute certainty, that she wanted to play a sport, the naga was still unsure what it was that she actually wanted to play. "Maybe I should master all of them?" she pondered aloud, slithering back and forth in front of the shelving, eyeing the seemingly endless amount of sports they represented. Maybe attempting all of them would be a bit difficult, even for her. With a small growl of frustration, she crossed her arms and sat on one of the benches, thinking furiously about what she should play.

 Alexander saw the naga looking at the balls and then said "Hey wanna try playing as the goalie?? I bet I could get some balls past you." Alex said with a cocky excitement in his tone. Alexander loved spots, he figured it was the grimm in him that loved the activity of running and expending his energy. It had been awhile since Alexander had a chance to play, so he was really hoping the naga would take him up on his challenge. "So what do you say?? If you win I'll buy you a treat or snack from the cafeteria." Alexander said in a cheerful tone.

At the sound of a voice Connor spun around immediately, the rattle on her tail shaking threateningly. Realising it was just another freshling, her tail fell to the ground once more, but her stance was still rather tense. "Ha, you think so?" she taunted, slithering up closer to him with a scoff, "You're welcome to try, I could use a snack." Grinning at the boy, she wrapped her tail around a soccer ball before tossing it to him. "The name's Connor, and it won't be long before you hear crowds cheering that name," she said with confidence, moving outside the equipment room and towards the field. All the boasting was completely feigned, of course; Connor had never even tried the position of goalie before.

Alexander grinned. "Only one way to find out." Alexander was excited to see who was better in this game. His tail moving back and forth and his little fey wings fluttering on his back. "You're on." Alex said cheerfully. Alexander chuckled as he hit the ball with his knee and then caught it. "Bold words Connor" Alex said with a grinn. Alex moved onto the field with Connor to get into position to see how many balls Alexander could get past Connor into the net. Alex hadn't had this much fun in awhile and he felt like he needed some fun today. He hadn't had a chance to play with his brother lately, so Alex had been feeling a little lonely. (Do you want to roll like a d10 highest number wins that round??)

Despite her competitive nature, Connor caught herself genuinely grinning at Alexander. She'd assumed she'd be playing by herself, which is all well and good but hardly compared to the fun of competition, not to mention better practice. "Bold words from a bold naga, she sassed back with a smirk. Slithering up to the net, Connor moved back and forth in front of the goal, ready to try to block the ball. "Don't you dare go easy on me because it's my first time," she called out to him seriously.Midnightglow18 yes ! great idea i'll roll to keep, and you roll to beat it

Alexander smiled and then lined up his shot and said. "Go big or go home." His tone was happy and cheerful. Alex kicked the soccer ball and watched it zoom into the net. "One point for me!!" Alexander said happily. "That was a really lucky shot." Alex laughed "I'm not a soccer star Conner, so this will be a fair game, you have just as much chance to block me as I have of scoring a goal on you." Alex said not wanting to be a jerk. He felt it was important to be a good sport, even if you were excited and competitive.

Connor narrowed her eyes at the boy as he went for the kick, but did little more than watch as the ball zoomed into the net. She had tried batting it with her tail, but really she hadn't been covering that half of the net. She growled slightly in frustration, smacking it hard with her tail to hand it back to Alexander. She looked up at him with a fierce grin. "Nice shot, but I'm not ready to go home," she assured him, slithering back and forth in front of the net once more.

Alexander smiled "Good cause I still want to play." Alex said cheerfully. Alexander lined up his next shot he thought it was going to be a really good shot, but this was was a near miss, it was a really close call. Alex smiled "See we should keep playing you nearly had me on that shot. 2 to nothing." Alexander said with a cheeky smile. "So do you like any other sports or have any other hobbies?" Alex curiously, he kinda liked Conner and wanted to know more about them. Alexander didn't have a lot of friends, a thing he wanted to fix.

Connor was more prepared this time round, and she came terribly close to stopping the ball - it just slipped by her outstretched fingers. Swatting the ball back to Alexander once more, she grinned somewhat ferociously at his taunt. Choosing to ignore it, she instead responded to his question, "I've practiced a little bit of basketball." Although that was a bit of a stretch, seeing as the most she had done was practice throwing trash into her bin from a distance. "Uh, yeah, I like... I like alchemy, you know? I think it's cool," she continued, sounding almost defensive, as if inviting the boy to mock her interests.

Alex laughed as he kicked the ball and pretty close to missed the net. "Opps." Alexander said with another laugh "Guess I need more practice, but that was still a good block." Alex said with a grin. "I've never tried basketball before, maybe we could play sometime." Alex asked hopefully. He was having a lot of fun playing with Conner and didn't really want it to end with this game. "No I've never studied alchemy is it fun?" Alexander asked curiously. Then Alexander turned his attention to figuring out his next kick so he might score another point. Alexander was really having a lot of fun, he kinda wished his little brother was here to have fun too.

Connor was more prepared that time, and when the ball came whizzing towards her, she used her tail to spring towards it and knock it away with an elbow. She stifled a cry of triumph, considering she was still losing the game. Still, she thought managing to save a ball on her third ever attempt wasn't bad. She turned to grin at Alexander, throwing the ball towards him, unworried about the dirt that had begun to cake on it. "Play basketball together? Yeah... yeah, let's do it!" she agreed, eager to have a sports buddy. When he asked further about alchemy, she couldn't hide her enthusiasm about the subject. "Oh, it's more than fun! It's just... satisfying, trying all the different combinations, creating something new from stuff that never usually do anything on their own.." she trailed off, fearing she looked like a bit of a nerd.

Alexander kicked the ball and he sailed into the direct path of where Conner could catch it or knock it away. "Looks like the score is tied." Alexander said cheerfully. Alex smiled and said "Great maybe we can do that sometime soon." He said in a happy tone, as he got ready to try to score a goal against Conner again. "That's great Conner, I have to study some medical stuff if I ever want to become an EMT and fire fighter." Alex said not minding at all that Connor sounded so into their craft, it was great. Alexander hadn't realized that Connor was a girl, it had never crossed his mind as they played.

Connor was all over it this time, moving her tail to where she saw the ball coming and swatting it away triumphantly. She grinned at Alexander and called out, "tie-breaker wins?" She did a thumbs-up to indicate she approved of basketball sometime soon. Connor hid a blush when he complimented her enthusiasm for alchemy; it wasn't an interest she usually shared with others. "Wow! Those are... impressive ambitions," she said approvingly, genuinely surprised that a freshling would already want to get into such a dangerous field. Still, Connor realised they were in a match and she quickly went back to slithering back and forth between the goals.

Alexander smiled and said "Sure." Then he kicked the balled and watched Conner catch it and laughed. Alex smiled and said "Yea I guess so. Come on Conner I owe you a treat from the cafeteria." Alexander said warmly, he didn't mind that he lost, it has been a fun game.
