Conley loved nothing more than running outdoors and being as active as possible with the other kids his age. Unfortunately for him he did have the problem of being a Grimm and was very susceptible to catching little colds all the time. He always tried extra hard to make sure he was being healthy, even taking extra vitamins to keep himself healthy. And yet, here he was again. Waking up and definitely not feeling great. He had ended up getting caught in the rain the evening prior. Oops...
He rolled out of his bed, trying to not wake his roommates that were still sleeping. He grabbed up his stuffed animal, something to keep him company, and then waddled out into the hall. He just needed to get to the Nurse's office. They would know what he needed to feel better. It felt like a walk that took hours, but in reality it was just a short ten minute walk until he found himself in front of a nurse. His temperature was taken, running a little high, and he had a cough. he was given some medicine and put into a cozy bed where he could get better. he snuggled up with his stuffed animal and prepared for the long stay in the infirmary.

Leopleuradon *Places fingers against lip* Shhhh no it's good.  Vega didn't tend to go outside unless he had to. But he had been out sketching yesterday, and hadn't noticed when the sky darkened and then it started to rain. He was most worried about the fact his sketchbook had gotten wet, but when he woke up in the morning, his head hurt and his throat hurt and things felt achy. With a whine, he crawled out of bed and looked at himself in the mirror. He looked like such a mess! He almost wanted to cry as he slunk out of his room and off towards the nurse. He didn't feel well, and was brought to the nurse. He apparently wasn't the only one today, and after taking his temperature, she ushered him to a small room with 2 beds. There was someone else in one of the beds, but Vega wasn't concerned with that just yet as he crawled into the empty bed and curled up, waiting for the nurse to come back to give him medicine to make him feel better. He coughed a couple times before whining again.

Conley had his blankets pulled up around him like a comfortable nest, with his plushie snuggled in his arms. It wasn't very long before someone else entered the room and wiggled into the bed next to his. He didn't commonly have company in the infirmary, but in a way it was sort of a welcome change. It would be nice to have a bit of a distraction from his cold.
Conley coughed himself before peeking up around his blankets at the other student who was sick. He'd never talked to a...Kirin before? He didn't know much about them outside of the fact that they were from Above. That was his own fault for not paying enough attention in Social Studies... His ears sunk a bit when he heard the other boy coughing some more. Didn't he have some cough drops? He looked over at his side table, sure enough he had remembered to ask for them. He always did whenever he was sick.
"D-did you want a cough drop?" He wasn't usually very good at talking to other first, but he'd give it a try if it would help the Kirin feel better.

Vega looked at the other boy when he spoke. He coughed once then nodded. "Yes please." He managed to say. He sat up enough to reach for the offered drop. "Thank you." He coughed again then laid back down, looking at the by. Even though he felt terrible, he offered the boy a smile. "Sick too?" He wasn't sure what to say, and didn't know how much they would really talk, but he could at least be friendly. The nurse would be a few minutes as she was tending to someone else.

"You're welcome." Conley replied quietly, revealing his rather shy nature again. As active as he was he still tended to be overly shy around others he didn't know. On top of that the boy in the bed next to his was a race he wasn't very familiar with, though he had to admit that his horn was cool! And they had big ears in common at least. He wasn't sure their conversation would go any further then that. He tried to muster up the courage to say something else. Just when he was about to say something, the red Kirin did instead. His tail gave a little wag next to him in the bed, revealing he was rather excited that the conversation has continued.
"Again." he sighed deeply, unfortunately he paid frequent visits to the nurse's office. He could only hope that once he got older he'd build up some more resistances to these nasty bugs outside. "I got caught up in the rain yesterday trying to play soccer with some friends and woke up this morning feeling...well...not well." He had gone out knowing that it was overcast out and could rain. He should have known better.
"Are the cough drops helping...?" He smiled gently in the direction of the Kirin before blushing and staring down at his hands, which were under the blankets at the moment.

When the other boy started wagging his tail, Vega looked at him curiously, then smiled. That was so cute! The boy in the other bed was cute. He wanted to dress him up in fancy clothes and parade around the campus like that. He smiled faintly. "The cough drop is helping. Thanks." He smiled, snuggling into the sheets. "I got stuck in the rain too. I was drawing." Playing soccer sounded like fun, but he didn't know the rules, but it was a lot of running around. "What's your name?" He asked softly. "I'm Vega." He glanced to the door when he thought the nurse was coming in, but she walked by the door.

Oh, an artist! Conley didn't really know anyone that was creative in that way. Most of his friend he knew from soccer practice or running around outside. It would be cool to know someone who was an artist! He own pictures were...well...probably more childish than they ought to be for someone his age.
His ears perked up a bit when the other boy introduced himself and asked for his own name. Oh right, he hadn't even thought to introduce himself yet! "Oh, sorry! I'm Conley....I'm sorry you're sick Vega. I know it's not fun." Conley gave the sick boy a faint smile and watched as the nurse passed by the door again. It must be a busy morning. He wondering if a lot of other students had gotten caught out in the rain.
"I'm sure she'll be around soon."

Leopleuradon I have this mental image of one climbing out of bed, and joining the other in their bed for sick time cuddles. Vega smiled, but then covered his mouth with the sheets and coughed a few times into the cloth, then sighed. "Conley." He repeated the name. "At least by being sick today, I got to meet a new friend." He said softly "I'm sick kind of often, so... I know it might be a little while." Sometimes he figured he and the nurse should be on a first name basis. (He would still call her 'Ma'am' though.) "So you... play soccer? That always looks like fun." He didn't think he could play it. Maybe when he got older, he might be healthier. Would anyone want him on their team though? He didn't know the rules. Maybe he could design uniforms instead?

Conley tail gave an excited little "thump" against the bed when Vega referred to him as a friend. He didn't have too many of those outside of his soccer practices! So it was nice to have made one that didn't have the exact same interests as himself for a change. Conley tended to find himself in the Nurse's office often as well, he wondered why he hadn't seen Vega before. Maybe it was just the fact that they'd barely missed each other up to this point.
"Soccer is a ton of fun. It's got to be my favorite thing!I'm bummed I'll miss practice today, but I'm sure my teammates will understand." He gave a little sigh, thinking about how they'd be missing him for the day. Hopefully he'd feel better enough by tomorrow to make up for it. "But you can draw? That's really cool. I don't really know any artists! But it takes a lot of talent, I know."

"It does, and a lot of hard work. You have to keep practicing to get good. I want to get really good some day." Vega felt really bad that his new friend was missing out on something he really wanted to be doing. "I'm sure they understand. Maybe... maybe when we're better, I can watch you play?" He asked hopefully. "Maybe I can draw you and your friends playing." The nurse came in then to take their temperature and make sure they were doing alright. She had some medicine to help reduce their fevers. She told them to get some rest and tucked them in before going to see some other kids. "Are you feeling any better yet?" Vega asked softly.

"Soccer takes a lot of practice as well." He certainly wasn't the best on his team, probably because he kept getting sick and stuck in bed from time to time. He was hoping that once he got a bit older his immune system would get better as well. But for now, he was getting a little too familiar with these infirmary beds. he just couldn't stop his tail from wagging at the prospect of Vega spending more time with him after this!
"That would be awesome! If there's anything I can do to help with practice, I'd lo-..like to help!" Was love too strong of a word to use for someone you just met? Um, either way he decided to use a different choice of words, he didn't want to scare his new friend away! As the nurse came in he readily took the medicine provided to him with a smile and allowed himself to be retucked in again. his wagging tail had loosened the hold of the blankets around him.
"I think talking to you has done wonders for my cold....Are you feeling any better?" Conley let out a yawn, he really was tired. He didn't get a very good nights rest since the fever must have set in over night. "We can hang out some more once we good some rest." Conley was obviously already fighting back sleep, snuggling more into his blankets, his eyes struggling to stay open. He'd lose the fight soon enough.

Leopleuradon I gotta do it. Sorry not sorry. xd "Mmm-hmm." He nodded his head, which was really more of he just rubbed his face into the pillow. "Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better. A little sleepy though." He curled up a little, his hands searching the bed before he realized he hadn't grabbed his stuffed animal before walking into the infirmary. His face was suddenly crestfallen as he pushed himself to sit up and looked around his bed. He didn't want to sleep without it. He needed something to cuddle, and was starting to get himself upset. He snuffled softly. "C-Conley? Would you mind if I rested next to you?" He knew it was a strange question, and he was vaguely prepared for the other boy to say no and think that was weird. But he had to ask anyways.

Conley was already fighting off sleep. Just was he was about to give in to his tired aches he heard someone speak his name. His ears perked up and he looked over at the other bed toward Vega. He wasn't sure what to say at first. He wanted to sleep in the same bed...! There was a big blush on his face, but he did like Vega. He didn't see a problem with it. He was a little worried the other student would get hot under the blankets with him.
"That would be fine. Don't forget your pillow." Conley shifted over in his bed, pulling his pillow with him and opened the blankets for Vega. He hid another yawn, already about to fall asleep again.

Leopleuradon sooooooooooo disracted with halloween. Think this wraps it up? Vega had been totally ready for Conley to say no, that he couldn't come and ... well, snuggle. But then the little grimm said that would be ok, and even lifted up the sheets a little. Vega slowly inched out of bed and toddled over, dragging his pillow with him. "Thanks." He smiled faintly as he climbed in. He was careful not to kick his new friend with his hooves as he settled into the bed. "Feel better." He said with a yawn, He halfway reached out and took a gentle hold of Conley's sleeve, just as that little reassurance that he wasn't alone, and slowly drifted to sleep.
