Placing the last ornament in her hair, Aseara turned her face left then right to make sure she`d centered the piece properly. Once she was satisfied she moved to the window and peered down into the garden to make sure her three children were still behaving. They were on a small rebellious streak since the festival and she wanted to keep a closer eye on them then before. However, she also wanted to get back into dancing for clients and that was what she was doing today. Aseara had finally decided to answer to some of her older clients request for a dance.
She hadn’t danced in a while, she felt like she might embarrass herself but she could not cancel now. Someone had already come up to tell her that her guest had arrived and she could not disappoint or be late. Aseara headed down to the dance halls with a smile on her face.
“Hanobi! It is so nice to see you again,” she gave the elder Oban man two kisses on the cheeks and smiled at him.
“Yes it has been quite some time now hasn’t it? You’ve been so busy since you’ve taken over that I was afraid I would never get to see you dance again!”
“Of course not, I’ve just been waiting for things to settle down. Please, let’s get to our room so you can sit and relax.”
Aseara led the Oban to one of the private rooms and ushered him in. She poured him a drink and sat down to talk to him a bit. She always liked catching up with her clients and something told her she had a lot of catching up to do. Thankfully, today she’d booked a few sessions to start shortening that gap.
Talk over. Aseara went and found her place on stage and began her usual dance routine. She couldn’t remember it completely and it showed. Hanobi looked disappointed as she watched her and only shook his head when Aseara tripped.
“Aseara dear, you’re a bit out of touch.” He said gently before patting her on the shoulder.
“I am so sorry,” Aseara could not believe she’d completely failed.
“Don’t worry about it; you’ll just owe me a better dance next time!” She bowed and exited the room. Aseara felt in shock, she was hoping the rest of her day would not be the same way.
