The bell had just rung signalling the beginning of the new school year. Veronica was calmly making her way to her home room when out of nowhere some kid came round the corner, bumping right into her and causing her to stumble backwards slightly from the impact. She had been texting on her phone at the time, not paying any attention to where she was walking, but of course she wasn't going to accept any blame for the incident. The books that she had been carrying in her arms were now scattered on the floor, mixed in with the books of the other student that she had walked into. She only just managed to catch her phone in time before it hit the ground as well, which was just as well for the other kid's sake.

"Why don't you watch where you're going!?" Ronnie barked at the kid while glaring daggers at him with her bright, ruby red eyes. Her sudden outburst caused most of the other students in the hall to scamper off to their classes, while a few braver students stuck around to watch the scene unfold. Without giving the other kid much time to respond, Veronica grabbed them by the scruff of their shirt and roughly pushed them back against one of the nearby lockers.

((Ooc: Just a simple post layout for now because I'm feeling lazy right now. Hope this is okay as a starter post. If you think she's a bit forward just let me know, and I can tone her down a bit. This is my first time playing such a character though, so I'm kind of winging it. sweatdrop ))

((OCC:It's completely fine you did good I don't mind the forwardness if that's what your character is meant to be))

First day of school as a new kid he should try his best to not make any bad impressions. It felt like everyone was staring at him even if they weren't he was just overly paranoid about being a new school as a new student. Brixos tried to make new friends but he always choked up when walking up to them. By them he was thinking of the werewolf pack in the school they seemed a lot bigger and intimidating than his pack back at home. The bell rang meaning he had to go to his homeroom. Pulling out a paper he started to walk where he believed was his homeroom.

Turning a corner he noticed a girl inches away from his eyes widen as he froze not being able to move. Bracing himself as they suddenly collided and she stumbled back dropping her books. "I'm sorry" Brixos quickly said bending over to pick up some of her books to hand it to her. Suddenly her heard her yell to watch where he was going which almost made him jump how loud she was. "I'm so sorry" Apologizing again as he picked up some of her books and was about to hand them to her when he was pushed against a wall. Normally looking down at the ground like a kicked a puppy he never really looked people in the eyes. Being held against a wall roughly with a girl giving a glare with red eyes made him feel very uneasy. Third time was the charm as he said. "I...I-I'm sorry I should have moved to the side but y...you weren't watching where you were going" Brixos would stutter out. A soft dog like whimper would be coming out as his plan to not make any bad impressions backfired.

Veronica leaned in closer to the boy, gripping his shirt scruff even tighter as she did so. Now that they were closer she could get a good whiff of his scent, which made her gag softly. She hated the stench of werewolves, they were worse than average dogs. "Get a load of this Mutt! Thinks he can talk back to me!" The vampire scoffed while flashing a glance over at the gang of vampires that normally hung around with her. They all began to laugh unanimously, mostly out of fear of what would happen to them if they didn't, but also because they despised his kind just as much as she did. Ronnie began to chuckle along with them as well for a moment, before turning back to the wolf-boy and suddenly slamming the palm of her other hand into the locker right next to his head. "You're obviously new here, so you won't know how things work. But you see these halls? I own 'em. I have earned the right to walk 'em as I please, and everyone else, stays outta my way. That's if they know what's good for 'em anyway." She stated with a wide, sadistic grin, flashing off her pair of pearly white fangs. "Do you know what's good for you, Mutt?" Every time she uttered that word the gang of vampires seemed to laugh even louder, along with a few other students that had remained in the hall.

"The days only just begun, and I'm still in a pretty good mood, so I'm gonna let you off with a warning, Mutt. As a thank you, and to make it up to me, you can get down and pick up all my books, and then you can carry 'em to my class for me. It's the least you can do since you were the one who caused me to drop 'em in the first place." Veronica said before finally releasing the boy's shirt and taking a step back. She folded her arms under her bust and turned her head to either side to look around at the other students that were still lingering around them. "What do you say guys, you think that's fair?" Ronnie asked, loud enough for anyone in the hall to hear her. Most of them muttered a "yes" or a "yeah" in response while the rest simply nodded their heads. "The public has spoken, Mutt." The girl sneered while reaching forward and giving him a pat on the head. It obviously wasn't meant to be affectionate, but rather it was a derogative gesture to further emphasize the fact that she thought of him as nothing more than a lowly dog.

Did he stink? Why had the girl gag when she sniffed him it wasn't like he hadn't showered. While most of his kind didn't like showers or baths he kind of enjoyed them they were very relaxing especially with classical music playing. Right now was probably not the best time to be daydreaming as the girl was holding his scruff even tighter and now she was calling him a mutt. Deciding the best option for now was to stay quiet especially since a lot of people started to laugh. They were laughing at him weren't they, nothing funny happen but they were laughing. Brixos started to cower they were all vampires weren't they? They had a grudge against his kind he never understood why nor did he partake in it as he was always nice to everyone. Flinching when a loud metallic bang went off right next to his ear which hurt his hypersensitive hearing a lot. The words that came out of her mouth and the laughter of the student were ignored as the ringing in his ear subsided and she was doing another speech.

Brixos had planned on helping her pick them up but he dropped them when she had slammed him against the lockers. It seemed the crowd was against him this never happened in his old school. His old school was small and everyone knew each other there really wasn't a group mentality or mob hunts. Apparently there were those in this school. Brixos looked at the ground as he didn't like the feeling of being alone and being made fun of he wished Darius was here he would have defended him. "My...name is not mutt it's Brixos. A mutt is a mix bred dog I am simply part wolf" He corrected her before slowly picking up her books and trying to pick up his own as well though it was a little hard to balance them all.

Veronica grinned even wider, she enjoyed watching the boy whimper and cower, he looked so pathetic it amused her greatly. She got a real kick out of tormenting the weak, and it was so much easier when they were new like he was, with no friends and no one to stick up for them and get in her way. "That's a good boy~" Ronnie cooed mockingly in a patronizing tone, before erupting into laughter along with the rest of her gang as they watched the boy kneel down to pick up the books. He appeared to be having a tough time trying to balance her books along with his, but she certainly wasn't going to step in and help him, and she wasn't going to let anyone else do so either. Not that anyone else would dare intervene anyway. She was feared by most of the students in the school, mainly because of her who father was and how wealthy he was, but also because she was so unpredictable, and even for someone as slim and petite as she was, she could still pack quite a punch. Some unfortunate few had found that out the hard way.

When she heard his comment, correcting her on the use for the term Mutt, and introducing himself, the grin on her face vanished and she went back to glaring daggers at him. Boy did this kid have nerves. Who dd he even think he was? Veronica raised one hand up slightly to signal the others to stop laughing, before using that same hand to reach down and yank the boy up by his tie, not caring if he was finished picking up the books or whether her actions caused any of them to fall again. He would simply have to pick them up again. "Is that so? Well, you're a mix of a wolf and a human, does that not make you a mix breed, therefore making you a Mutt?" She asked, although the question was rhetorical. She didn't care whether he considered her use of the word Mutt correct or not, she was going to use it anyway. That's what she thought about all of his kind. Vampires were pure -well those who were born vampires like her were anyway- they weren't mix breeds, so in her mind and that of most other vampires at the school, they were the superior race.

Having everyone laughing at him honestly hurt. There was little he could do maybe he could try to run away but there was no need to its not like they were physically assaulting him. Besides the being pushed against a wall which wasn't bad it wasn't bad enough to hurt him anyways. Her patronizing 'Good boy' was a little irritating but he would just have to pick up her books and carry them all day which wasn't too bad. If his friends were here they would probably being telling him to stand up for himself and to not let himself be pushed around. It was just he didn't see a reason to fight the girl yes she was being a huge jerk but that wasn't a reason for him to resort to violence. Also having a group against you frighten him he kind of just wanted to go home.

With his tie being pulled he dropped the books he had just finished picking up. Suddenly she started to correct him and his troublesome side appeared. The side that wanted to correct every mistake someone did that usually got him in trouble as people found getting corrected annoying. "Well I am not a mix I am my own species. But going with your definition you would be a mutt as well. Half human and half vampire bat" Brixos would explain suddenly everyone around them would gasp. Everyone knew about Veronica's thought about everyone and how they the vampires were a superior race to the rest being called a mutt would be essentially a death sentence. Brixos knew none of that information.

Veronica turned her glare to the others when she heard them gasp at what the werewolf said, and they immediately dropped the shocked expressions they had on their faces. Now her blood was boiling, she was so enraged. Her pupils had become slits, like snake eyes, and her fangs extended to their full length, hanging passed her bottom lip. She hissed at the werewolf menacingly. How dare he insult her like that? How dare he?! Ronnie gripped the boys tie even tighter, while with the other hand she immediately backhand slapped him as hard as she could across the face. Then she threw him to the floor and planted her foot against his chest to hold him to the ground. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, SPEAKING TO ME THAT WAY!? I AM NOT A MUTT, I AM A PURE BLOODED VAMPIRE! A HUMAN HAS NEVER TAINTED MY BLOODLINE, AND THEY NEVER WILL!" She screamed at him while applying more weight behind her foot, putting more pressure on his chest. At this point, every other student apart from those in her gang had fled the scene, not wanting to be caught up as collateral damage. Although they had stuck around, her fellow vampires had backed off quite a distance as well, not wanting to be caught up either, or get in her way. It had been a while since she had flown into a rage like this, and the last time it had happened, she nearly ended up killing the kid. However, that kid had only been a human, which weren't very difficult to kill anyhow.

Brixos noticed everyone's expression around him and he wondered if he had something something wrong. No matter how he looked at it what he had said wasn't really wrong or false that was her way of thinking and the result. Yet he girl who was bullying him seemed really mad in fact she looked dangerous. Brixos tried to back away but he was pulled in to a slap which left his cheek red and dazed. Thrown to the floor a foot on his stomach. Then the girl yelled at him and pressed her foot down on his chest wincing as the heel of her shoe dug into him. "I...I-I'm sorry" Brixos would say as he put his hand on her leg and pushed it away. Being a little too rough as he ended up using too much of his strength and it sent her to the ground. It hurt his chest was in pain her shoe had cut his skin and a bit of blood started to drop. "I didn't mean to drop you" Brixos would say seeing she had fallen as he stood up and tried to help her up. Extending his hand to pick her up.

The scent of blood in the air caught Veronica off guard somewhat, it seemed that in her anger she had applied more pressure on him than she had intended to. Enough to cause her heel to cut his skin and make him bleed. It was a very alluring and distracting scent. So distracting in-fact that she didn't have enough time to react and catch herself before she fell onto her backside, after the Mutt had pushed her leg off of him. Once she realized what had happened, she was of course even more infuriated with him. That was until she saw his hand outstretched to help her up however, that was a surprise. After all she had just done to him, he was actually wanting to help her? Ronnie flashed him a puzzled look. Normally the people she bullied either cried and ran away or tried to fight back, but he wasn't doing either. Of course she couldn't accept his help, and nor did she want to, because that would make her look weak. So instead, she glared at him and angrily smacked his hand away, in an effort to keep up her tough reputation. "I don't need your help!" She hissed at him while pushing herself back up to her feet and then quickly readjusting her clothes and brushing off any loose dirt or dust.

It seemed that the confusion he had caused with his gesture to help her up had dulled some of her fury, and part of what was left of it was now being directed towards those in her gang. They were hiding like a bunch of cowards, and not one of them had come over to offer her any help like the boy had. Veronica stood there silently for a moment, glancing between the werewolf and her fellow vampires. This was the first time she had encountered such a situation and she honestly wasn't sure what to do. "Lucas!" She finally called out, breaking the silence. One of the male vampires from the group came running over. "Pick up my books, now." She demanded while pointing to the books that were scattered all over the floor. The male frowned, wondering why it was him being asked to do the task and not the werewolf boy. His hesitation to fulfill her command earned him a smack over the back of the head from Ronnie. "Did you not hear me, I said pick up my books, now." Once the task was done, she waved him and the rest of the vampires off, wanting them to leave her and the werewolf alone. This confused the whole lot of them, but after seeing what had happened to Lucas, nobody question her and all did as she told them to.

Once they were gone, Veronica turned her attention back to the Mutt. She stepped forward, closing the distance between them so there was only a couple of inches of space left. Then she raised her fist like she was going to punch him, but instead she purposely missed, hitting one of the lockers beside him and creating a large dent in the door. A warning of what was to come the next time they met. "This isn't over Mutt." She mumbled, before turning and heading off to class herself. She was already late as it was, and if she missed homeroom completely then she knew she would get into a lot of trouble, especially if it was found out that she was late because of a fight. The last time that had happened the school had threatened to call her father, which would have been very bad for her. This didn't mean she was finished with him though, she was just waiting for a better opportunity to teach him a lesson.

Brixos Bartholomew

((OCC: Doubt much will happen during the class besides the occasional spitball XD so we can try to transition towards lunch?))

Brixos slightly pulled his hand back when getting two confused looks by one of the vampires then the one he had accidentally knocked down. The confused looked turn to a glare and he was once again smacked away. Pulling slightly away he stayed to see if she was still okay. Obviously she hadn't broken a bone or anything along those lines Brixos hadn't used much force but still. He wanted to ensure she was okay even if she said she didn't need any help. "I have some bandages in my backpack if you got a cut or anything." To all the vampires there it was safe to say they knew no one had a cut except for him.

When the girl started to yell at one of her friends to pick up the books Brixos moved the help the guy out picking them up and handing them to him. Giving a friendly smile to the guy which was strange. Why was the kid who was just being bullied by all of them being nice to them and helping them out. It was just the type of person Brixos was which was rare to find someone who wanted to be nice to everyone even the ones who weren't so kind to him.

All alone with the girl who had caused this entire commotion told her friends to leave and was heading after him. There seemed to be no aggression towards the way she walked however when she raised her fist Brixos raised his to his face in an attempt to protect himself. The locker took the punch instead and the girl said 'This isn't over Mutt'. He wasn't sure what 'this' was but he knew he wasn't going to like it. Finally that she was gone he had realized that he was late to homeroom! He had to go to the bathroom and bandage himself up before heading there.

First day of school and he was already late to class. Walking inside the first thing he noticed was the fiery hair of the girl from earlier which wasn't very good. The first thing the classroom teacher asked was why he was late. He could tell the truth which was what he wanted to but then the girl would get in trouble. "I....got injured and had to bandage myself in the bathroom" It wasn't a lie but it wasn't the whole truth. The teacher accepted it and told him to take a seat as class started.

"Ah, Miss Stevens. So nice of you to join us." Her teacher's voice chimed as the girl entered the room. "So, why are you late this time? I hope you weren't getting in trouble again." Veronica just scoffed and rolled her eyes, not bothering to give any actual answer to what she had been doing. She took her usual seat at the front of the class, near the window, surrounded by the desks of her friends. Her teacher had her suspicions about why she was late, but as she didn't have any evidence to back up those suspicions, she simply let it be and got on with the class. Until there came a second interruption, another late student. Hearing his excuse of being injured, and the fact that he had arrived not long after Veronica had, raised the teachers suspicions even more, but there was nothing she could do if the boy wasn't willing to speak up about what had happened, so she had no choice but to accept his excuse and let him go to his seat. Hearing the familiar voice had got Ronnie to look up from her desk, to see it was none other then the Mutt! Well, wasn't that a surprise? Albeit an unpleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless.

When she teacher had asked him about why he was late, she was expecting him to come out with the full story, and dob her in, and was a little shocked when he didn't. Normally the kids she bullied would have jumped at the chance to get her in trouble, hoping that it would deter her from bullying them again, but it only ever made it worse. Of course this kid was different though, smarter in some sense, if he had turned her in it would only have invoked more of her wrath. The redhead continued to watch him as he walked to one of the empty desks and sat down, before returning her attention to the teacher at the front of the class.

The rest of the morning went by in a blur. Veronica mulled through her classes, with all thoughts of Brixos to the back of her mind so she could focus on her school work. It wouldn't be very good for her to start taking home bad grades, that would only anger her father. Although, whenever she did find herself with the opportunity to mess with him she would. Whether it be stealing his stationary, or purposely bumping into him so he would mess up. All very small, simple things, that brought her mild amusement. Before she knew it, it was lunch time however, and she was finally free to do whatever she wanted. Now the hunt for the wolf would begin, with Ronnie and her gang having split off into smaller groups so they could search the school to find him. It wasn't often that she would actually make an effort to find her target, but this time it was different.

Brixos Bartholomew

((OCC: Not going to lie I thought Ronnie was a different character but I just realized it was a name you called Vernoica))

Classes were actually fairly normal and okay for Brixos except for the fact that the girl kept bothering him with the occasional bump and stealing of his materials. Luckily enough he seemed prepared. Not prepared for having his items stolen but for having lost them or having to lend them to someone. Which he did end up giving a pencil to one classmate. When the class was over he was glad hoping that the girl wasn't in anymore of his classes which she wasn't. With no one bothering him all the classes flew by. The teachers would also see how bright Brixos actually was and would only be more impressed as time goes on.

Soon it was lunch. Something he liked about the school was they were allowed to be anywhere in school campus while they ate. The place he decided to be was stereotypically enough outside near a tree. Eating some school lunch and food he brought from home as he wanted all the nutrients he needed for the day which was satisfied by school lunch. Pulling out a school book he started to do some work from the classes he had. It was a pleasant suprise to get homework on the first day most classes didn't have that but he enjoyed the early challenge. The next classes he had were race oriented except for the one he dreaded the most. Physical education. A place where people were meant to practice their powers under teacher supervision but that didn't make him feel any better. Especially since he heard that the physical education teacher was a little extreme and they actually had fighting tournament and a lot of competitions. Everyone made it sound great but it was Brixos cup of tea.

Veronica had searched just about everywhere she could think of inside the school, and had come up with nothing. Normally she liked that the students were able to freely wander about the school during lunch, but now it was proving to be annoying. Because she couldn't find Brixos anywhere. She could only hope that the vampires she had sent to search outside were having better luck. After having sent off the vampires that were with her to continue looking, she decided to go wait in the cafeteria until she received word of his whereabouts. As she waited she listened to music on her phone and sucked on one of her blood lollipops.

Meanwhile, outside the school, Lucas and a couple of the other vampires were searching around the field when they noticed a lone kid sitting down by a tree. They began to make their way over to get a closer look, although they already had their suspicions on who it was. Sure enough, once they got close enough to see, they discovered it was the one they were looking for. Ronnie had given them strict orders to contact her as soon as they had found him, so while Lucas went over to make sure the kid didn't get away, the other two made a call to Veronica. It didn't take her very long to make it out to the field at all, and as soon as she did, she made a beeline for the wolf sitting under the tree. When she got over to where him and Lucas where, she stopped right in front of where he was sitting and knelt down a little so they would be eye to eye. "Well, well, well...Watcha reading there, Mutt?" She asked, right before she reached out and yanked the book from his hands. After quickly reading over the title of the book, she gave a shrug and tossed the book away. "Hey there, did ya miss me? 'Cause I sure missed you."

Brixos Bartholomew

((OCC:No it wasn't your fault it just a little late and my brain is starting to stop working. This is probably my last post of the day.))

All the food he had was now gone. His focus was completely on the homework assignment he was doing. Holding down the pages to ensure the wind wasn't flipping them. A familiar scent appeared. Looking around he noticed the vampires from before were heading this way. Should he try to make a run for it? Probably not they were most likely faster than him and with a spell around the campus keeping them safe from the sun he couldn't use that either. Not that he would when he started to think about it, if they made contact with the sun they would die. Definitely not something he would ever want on anyone. "Hello there...sorry about getting you in trouble with your friend" Brixos would apologize to Lucas who seemed to be guarding him as the other vampires went somewhere else.

Now the girl from before was here maybe he should have attempted to run for it. She was really intimidating and it seems like she sees him as an enemy even when he tried his best to not seem like one. When she tried to look him in the eyes Brixos would look down something she would probably appreciate the reason why was probably not the reason she wanted. "Brixos" He responded to being called mutt not like it mattered. "Was just finishing up some homework" He said not that that matter either. When she tossed the book away he stood up slowly to go and get it back. The question she asked was weird one he answered truthfully, Brixos didn't like to lie even if it was a white lie. "No not really. You are kind of a...." He stopped himself before he said pain he shouldn't be rude. She hated him already no reason to anger her even more.
