Austri dealt 1 damage to the Chemleak.

Austri hated being around any sort of acid-like substance, despising any sort of goo that couldn't be washed after a nice shower and got stuck in her hair. Thankfully, Austri was smart enough to keep her hair pulled up that night, but her shirt wasn't safe, having tossed it off and pulled the jumpsuit over herself. Hearing the telltale sounds of an annoying yellowblood and a calm tealblood, the kid felt her pump biscuit soar. "You guys are so late~!" Austri exclaimed. Sure she couldn't have saved Lorata when the acid fell on her, but hey, it fell on her too, and she couldn't do anything about that! She'd definitely help later, though.

She rushed over to the panel, thinking a little too quickly before slamming in some numbers and realizing what the hell was actually happening. Austri then began to promptly freak out, slamming a fist anywhere she could manage before inhaling the toxic fumes that made her wheeze and cough. Austri quickly tried to save it and threw gusts of wind, but they were futile. Everything was still BLINDING!

Voscil is attacking the Chemical Leak

From what she could tell Voscil had taken the liberty of shutting down whatever she could. Even with the gas mask she coughed violently occasionally as she rubbed at her temples. While her vision swam some, the troll stubbornly refused to let this break her. She had been through much worse, fire by far hurt worse than the feeling in her lungs and chest at the moment.

Plus if she gave in now, what would happen to her? Or the rest of the trolls she could occasionally make out scurrying about trying to fix everything. Putting one foot in front of the other Voscil willed her body to keep moving, needing to find some kind of fresh air hopefully sooner than later, the mask could only protect her for so long she reasoned.

Item: Stryke uses his Offensive Style A Artifact!

Digging around for some kind of way to get them out of this perilously dangerous situation, Stryke hadn’t expected the answer to come in such a convenient easy to read operation mannual. Rifling in the computer room through all the various drawers, Stryke gave a surprised cry as he pulled out what appeared to be a user manual of some kind. Now this was more up his alley. Flipping through the pages, the yellowblood studied the pages as he tried to shed some light on the situation at hand and how to operate the control system. The damn thing was complicated and Stryke was better with topography...not this complicated computer mumbo jumbo.

Stryke's brows furrowed in frustration as his vision doubled, swimming violently as he passed off the manual to a troll nearest him hoping they could pick up where he left off. The yellowblood felt lightheaded like he might be faint. He pulled his scarf up trying to cover his nose and mouth to give him something to breath other than toxic fumes while he fumbled for a mask Cynril could use..then himself once he was sure the kid was situated. His wheezed breath was at least alleviated once he attached the breathing mask to his own face.

Stryke uses his Offensive A Artifact!

With his mask securely in place, Stryke wound up his artifact one more time although he realized a little late that the toxic fumes hardly constituted for a solid mass. Even if it was highly illogical, he had to admit that his brain did feel awful light headed and fuzzy. It wasn’t entirely surprising his mind was coming up with wild solutions to try and correct the problem at large. If anything it bounced around the room wildly until the ray hit one of the vents forcing it closed and toxic fumes to stop pouring. Raising a brow Stryke eye'd his pocket watch before carefully placing it back inside his pocket and attaching the chain to a belt loop.

Power: Stryke uses his Defensive Style B Power! Git Cynril stop trying to get your lusus killed. Nulled 4 DMG.

Damage: 6+1= 7 DMG

Unable to really see with the mask on while he tried to jot down notes about the correct input sequence he'd read in the user manual Stryke tried to hold his breath so he could pull the mask off to see better. However he timed it wrong, inhaling the polluted air. HIs eyes burned with tears, as did his lungs the longer he tried to hold his breath while he wrote. As the seconds ticked by and Stryke found himself lost in thought he forgot himself as he exhaled, preparing to inhale. The shock of the unclean air stung horribly, sending him into a violent coughing spasm as he fell to the floor twitching. Thrashing some Stryke wheezed as he pulled the mask back over his face sucking greedily on the fresh air as his vision swam with black dots. Well he certainly wasn't going to try that again.

Stryke had returned to the panel to try inputting more entries. He was certain they were close to solving the issue, the fumes had stopped pouring out as aggressively as before. For what it was worth it just barely escaped him as he tried to plug in a few more calculations. Still coughing occasionally even with the breather Stryke's chest felt like it was more or less on fire, occasionally earning a rubbing pass over his chest as he tried to ignore the burning sensation of the lasers and inside his throat. This was not the kind of trip he'd expected to go through, it was beginning to look ugly.

He needed to try and keep himself, his fellow rebels and the kid with him safe and sound. Not to mention all the other lives around him. Whatever it took, Stryke would keep trying rather than simply curling up and trying to give up.

Vulpin gulped in another dangerous breath of toxic fumes, and just when they thought they were inside of a safe area. They moved quickly to get out of the contaminated area, desperately trying to re-plan and mentally reroute a solution for this leak. Their eyes started to water, but they held back from moving their goggles to wipe the tears. Exposing their eyes to the air would probably be more dangerous, anyways. Plus, no one needed to see their ruined makeup.

Coughing madly, Vulpin typed into the system as fast as their fingers could allow. They were so close to shutting the problem down, or at least containing it to a manageable level. They were just missing one piece of the puzzle, they could feel it.

Polair was glad they took care of the machine. Now there was only one more threat in the science dome that they had to face. A chemical leak. Polair couldn't help but wonder what composed such harmful thing, if only she could get a sample... The highblood got close, holding her breath as she hypothesized it'd be stupid to inhale the possible toxic gas. Smartly and following the scientific method, Polair kept track of the things she had observed and the sucession of buttons she had pressed. Sadly she unconsciously breathed in just to feel the taste of the leak in her mouth and lungs.

Polair started pushing the buttons in a series of logical orders and wrote them down until she expected to shut down the leak. The child pressed the last button and it temporarily seemed things were resolved. As she was about to give herself a pat in the back, a metal panel slid open. Polair practically looked inside the panel just to see a laser which zapped her sniffnode and her heels.

It wasn't until Claud stepped in that she stopped being teased by the machine. Polair felt the blood rush to her cheels. How embarrassing, a highblood running around like a cluck beast!
