History: Like his previous captain, most of Tsubasa's history is redacted as per the request of the Onmitsukidō leader. Nearly a thousand years of his history was abolished from existence by all that didn't know him before it was redacted. The only thing known about him was that he spent nearly one-thousand four hundred and ninety four years in The Maggots Nest. Though no one but him knows why exactly he was in there the first thousand years, the main reason he went back was that his younger sister was forced into a hollowfication which upon completion resulted in her attacking those around her. With that their parents sedated her and were going to execute her; with how protective Tsubasa was of her he couldn't stand by and watch it happen, so he engaged in combat to stop them. Being forced to fight several relatives and his parents simultaneously, he had no choice but to kill them in cold blood, after that he fled to the place he knew the best; The Maggots Nest for nearly five hundred years where he trained and helped her control her hollow. When she escaped to the human world after their training Tsubasa decided the best way to keep people from chasing after her was to try and join the Onmitsukidō, which thankfully he was able to since their leader requested he join them due to his prowess as a Shinigami.. Whilst being trained he met his now closest friend Kanzaki Shintarō. After years of being in the Onmitsukidō Kanzaki was promoted to Captain of the Fifth squad, upon which the male practically forced Central 46 to transfer Tsubasa to his squad as his Lieutenant. However not long after this Tsubasa was raised up to the position of captain of the eighth squad, Central 46 finding his power far too high for a mere Lieutenant.

Shikai Incantation: Rise from the ashes; Fumetsu no Honō!
Shikai Appearance: Generally when in direct battle, Tsubasa will send Beni out of the area so he is secure and doesn't risk injury. When he is called to the battlefield, he will generally come and land on Tsubasa's right shoulder where he normally is perched during more casual times. When he does, Tsubasa will whisper something to Beni, he replying with a nod and flying off of him. Beni will move over Tsubasa's shoulder onto his back. Beni will fly in place as Tsubasa will commence the rest of the ritual. Tsubasa will keep a stern glare at his enemy as he will drop the top of his kimono around his waist, revealing his muscular body underneath with Beni keeping a stationary flight. Soon enough, Tsubasa will nod his head and Beni will move forward and dig their claws into Tsubasa's skin. With their claws in far enough that he can keep himself in place without falling, he'll spread his wings as far out as possible. Leaking from the wound on his back is a red viscous substance that drips down his back as well as a gray smoke. Then, Tsubasa's voice will speak the words, "Rise from the ashes; Fumetsu no Honō!" With the words mentioned, Beni's body will transform into pure energy and suddenly expand out into a Phoenix shaped form roughly twenty feet tall and a wingspan of forty feet made of pure red and orange spiritual pressure. The pressure being radiated from the form is astounding, enough to crack the ground beneath Tsubasa. The phoenix will let out a thunderous screech before the form will twist around and cover Tsubasa momentarily in it's wings and then suddenly crashing down into the ground and creating a powerful final explosion of the release. From the explosion comes a sea of flames that is the true from of Tsubasa's shikai. Tsubasa can control these flames with hand movements.
Shikai Abilities: Tsubasa can control his flames through two ways, one being his mind; in which case it moves at a relatively quick speed. However he can also actively control it by using his hands, in which case it increases in speed two fold.

Bankai Appearance: The flames from Fumetsu no Honō gather up and begin to swirl around Tsubasa like a fiery tornado and after a few moments the flames will explode outwards and the excess flames will dissipate into the air revealing Tsubasa clad in samurai armor made of phoenix fire. With this new form he gains his zanpakuto back in the form of a blade forged of pure fire. Like with natural armor Tsubasa's durability, strength and endurance are also increased [+40 ea.]. Many can feel the sheer power that radiates from Tsubasa's new form. The fire that makes up the helmet section of the armor will reveal a pair of destructive looking eyes. The colors of the eyes are actually inverted into eyes that look like one a Vizard would bare with their mask on. His eyeballs and pupils are solid black with his irises being orange. On the left cheek of the helmet, he has a bright yellow tribal tattoo shaped like a phoenix's claw had scratched across his cheek. His feet are now large bird like claws Fumetsu no Honō had in his sealed form but are much larger to fit Tsubasa's size. The final part of Tsubasa's new form is probably the most noticeable. Placed at the upper part of his back, are a pair of large fire wings that total ten feet in wingspan and give him an increase to his speed[+20].
