Breeding


|| All races in Kahikina reproduce by laying eggs! While there are obviously intimate moments between them during their relationships. ...That does not mean you need to RP it out. Remember Gaia TOS; keep things PG-13.
|| Once you and a partner have agreed on breeding, one potential parent should post the appropriate form in this thread.


Breeding Rules

|| Breeding requires 3 RPs.
|| The first two should be completed before applying for breeding. The first should be developing their relationship, and the second should include the talk of children, and/or the situation involved in having children.
|| The last RP must be started after applying for breeding and should involve finding out the news that they are expecting. This RP must be completed before the results of breeding will be dropped.
|| When the initial form is posted, Ainuhea will either approve the form or contact the parents further. Once approval is given the owners are ready to begin the last required RP (and then eventually post the final breeding form).
|| Biologically, the aquatic races of Kahikina are asexual. While owners may choose to assign a gender to a character, all pairings may breed because of their biology.
|| Characters may breed once they reach the Journeyman stage.
|| A character may breed up to 2 times.
|| For two characters to breed, a sum of 20bil must be sent to Ainuhea.
|| Two babies will be produced (unless requested otherwise). Their genders will be decided by the owners after dropping in the thread.
|| If a different number of babies is requested, payment will be adjusted accordingly.
|| Breedings involving more than twins are not guaranteed. Owners requesting triplets may roll 1d20 and if they roll a 1 or 20 they have successfully bred triplets.
|| If triplets are successful, the third baby must go to another owner (one owner cannot receive more than one baby).
|| Kahikina breedings are 100% random! All traits are decided by our artists and the babies will be a surprise.
|| Bred characters will take after their parents. This means that babies will have half of one parent's and half of the parent's race. If one is a hybrid, it will mean that the baby will look more like the full race parent since that would be 50% one race and only a quarter (or whatever the case is) the others.
|| Since there is no co-owning, owners may decide who will own which baby.
|| Breedings will only receive one baby per owner. (One owner cannot receive both babies).
|| If both characters involved in breeding belong to only one owner, they will only receive one baby, but can roll for twins (using the same system as for triplets).
|| Breeding will not be hindered by character slots, but please visit our character slot thread for how breedings will effect character availability.
|| Two new, special stages will accompany your bundles of joy.
