█ BACKGROUND
Most would say it was tragic or sad or something along those lines, but the fact that Alexander was born into slavery in the Slaver's Division never seemed that tragic. His parents died when he was a young age from a strong case of pneumonia. They got the short end of the stick there considering it's a rare illness to die from, but it left Alex alone in the Slaver's Division to fend for himself. Luckily, the boy learned pretty quickly--if by learning, you mean learn how to be an annoyance, that is. The odd thing is that he never really held any remorse towards their deaths--any regrets for goodbyes or sadness at all. It was just that they were gone, and now he had to deal with things alone. Truth be told, he'd rather not deal with them at all as long as he wasn't in the despicable Slaver's Division.
Since he was stuck with the division until he was sold, and there was much they could do to him with him being legal--Alexander would use his sharp-tongue to point out all the malfunctions in social systems for how certain slaves were being treated or how efficiently his food was brought to him; things like, "If I were a malnourished slave and this plate took at least...at least...ten more seconds, I could've just died on the ******** floor. That would've been your mess, your mistake, your job on the ground with me because we all know you wouldn't be able to face your co-workers." With an apathetic light to everyone and thing in the system and where he was held, the lycan grew into a mentally and emotionally sadistic nature. This, plus being quite obstinate due to his dislike of physical contact, made him practically unbearable. He must've gotten annoying. How could you dance around with him while he toyed with your mind and emotions and not be annoyed with him by the end of it? The sad thing was, the whole point was the be annoying. He didn't like them, so he didn't feel they should like him. Alexander made it his goal for them to despise him but have to tolerate him until he was sold.
Luck was sour with selling him because he even made that difficult. There were rumors of just how disobedient and obstinate he was, or how emotionally sadistic he could get. These were enough to scare off most buyers or make them turn their nose at even the thought of taking home someone like him. It was oddly self-satisfying for Alex because this just made their days worse. It got to the point that they started lowering the normal price-range for his species of slave because they wanted him out, and no one was taking him. The word was so strong that Alexander became the bargain-brand slave, and the first person that came in was the first person they tried to push him off onto.
As fate would have it, that first person just so happened to choose him. It wasn't about the bargain but something else that Alexander just didn't get. It almost irritated him just how pleased this man seemed to be. It was the exact opposite of his goals. How infuriating. At least, it should've been had this man been possibly less attractive or approachable. In fact, it was quite the opposite. His air was warm and cheery, a bit flirty too--what was infuriating was the fact that it was so difficult to stay angry with him. His name was Landon Peredur, and if you couldn't see the appeal--Alex might suggest getting your eyes checked. Sure, the guy was a complete slob. The place he lived in--they lived in--was always a mess until Alexander cleaned up after him. Of course adding to Alexander's list of frustrations, Landon was careless. This effected their living space and relationship in many ways. One would be just how many ways he could've ruined perfectly good food or furniture had Alex not been taking care of it.
Alexander could handle those negatives easily though. What was harder to hate was the positives--the fact that he was loyal and laid-back, he would still keep Alex around no matter how much the man s**t-talked the living conditions or the work he was forced to do. Then there was the teasing and the play-flirting that always got under Alexander's skin because no matter how hard he tried to brush it off or just look at it like a big joke--it gave him these weird things...emotions. All-in-all he was stuck either way unless he wanted to be careless and run-off, but he didn't have the means to take care of himself that way. So he just sucked it up and dealt with it.
█ ABILITIES
▬ NAME OF ABILITY
Trickster-
For the sheer fact that he feels he's still mentally superior (and he's more predominantly a fox lycan), he likes to play tricks on others or mind games and see where it takes them. The amount to which it goes isn't always enough to be dangerous or illegal because that's a bit too taxing, but it's still plenty to be irritating. He tends to only try to irritate certain individuals though because most don't really interest him.
Enhanced Smell-
Just as any lycan should have, he obviously has a better nose. Alexander has many applications for this that can tie-in from day-to-day life to more illegal things. However, he'd usually prefer to stay out of those because he's cautious on what he has to smell considering he has a sensitive stomach. So anything too foul is harsh on him.
Enhanced Hearing-
Depending upon the breed of fox he turns into, his hearing can range but all-in-all, it's still more advanced than, say, that of a human's. Alex keeps an ear out for his master, whether it be for the simple fact that he's avoiding him, or because he was expecting him. (Usually it's to try and avoid him.)
Environmental Adaptation-
With each breed, there are different climates that they can handle or adapt to quite well. Studying different breeds of fox, he's learned which ones would be best for what types of weather or terrain and applies this knowledge accordingly.
Animal Morphing-
Of course this one is a given due to him being a lycan. However, he's specifically more prone to turning into foxes than any other canines. He also doesn't always have this ability under-wraps and sometimes it pops up involuntarily. For example, sometimes when Alexander gets flustered and puffs out his cheeks in frustration, a perky set of ears might pop up on his head and mold to the expression he's giving off without him even realizing it. This is something Alex absolutely despises because it has so many draw-backs.
█ EXTRA
- The relationship status is complicated because Alexander is not known for letting people in easily, let alone becoming attracted to them. There is one exception to this, and that exception would be his actual master whom he has a major crush on but will do anything in his power to act as though he hates the man instead. Landon can easily fluster Alex--not just because he's a touchy guy, but because he knows that all the teasing and flirting doesn't mean anything and just feels like some kind of torment. He's pretty confident that Landon has no clue on these feelings though.
- Alex and his brother, Skye, do communicate in secrecy, but most of the time when they're in public together, he tends to act naturally indifferent with him as he would most people.
