After living through that Hitchcock movie turned real (and gone horribly, horribly wrong), Rory was ten kinds of interested in getting to her room and flopping on the bed. And then a shower. A nice, hot, shower would be absolutely amazing at this point. But first, the bed. Her coat was shredded; she dropped it on the floor next to the first bed she came to before crawling onto it with a groan. She had heard something about them getting roommates for their stay in the Alps and that was fine by her. She wondered which Chosen she would be paired up with and hoped they could be friends. She could settle for civility, but Rory always did better with friends. The hippie just was not the kind of woman who could maintain a civil relationship, let alone a cold or mean one. She always reverted to friendly. Too much thinking. She huffed a sigh and let the warmth of the hotel room seep into her frozen bones. This was nice. Once she was warm enough, she would be able to take her shower. Maybe she could fit in a nap first... Exhausted, she yawned and stretched on her stomach with one eye on the door. She didn't want to conk out before she had a chance to meet her roomie.

The thought of having a roommate other than her roommate at the campus was a bit bizarre for her, but Mercy figured this was the chance to get to know someone that wasn't an Ares so that was a plus! She slid her card through the card reader and opened up the door. She didn't see the body on the bed, otherwise, she would've waited before turning on the lights. Instead, she started to remove as many metal feathers from her hair as carefully as she could, tossing every single on in the garbage. Her coat was almost nonexistent, she was tired, and she wanted to sleep. Taking a shower could wait until the next day. Maybe there was a spa somewhere? If so she would gladly pay for a massage and facial, then go get her nails done. Then again, this was a hotel so she might have to do most of that on her own, which made her a little sad. She wouldn't be able to oogle if her masseuse was a guy. While she was thinking, Mercy decided to change into her Captian America pajama pants and tank before flopping on the nearest bed and thus landing right on her unsuspecting roommate. "O-Oh s**t! I'm so sorry! I didn't even see you!" Well, this was a bit embarrassing...

Rory was just on the edge of sleep when she vaguely heard the door open. Oh good, her roomie was here. She should get up and greet them. Except she just couldn't summon the energy, or the will for that matter, to move from her position sprawled across the bed. Her brain registered her roommate moving about the space, but didn't quite understand where the other person was until they were flopping on top of her. She squeaked and moved until she could sit up. "It's okay!" Well, she was awake now. "I'm so tired, I probably would have done the same thing except I got here first," she said with a yawn. Okay so she wasn't that awake. "Oh, hey, those are cute pajamas! My daughter and I are in love with Captain America." She giggled quietly an stretched, thinking that now that she had a little more energy she could grab her own pajamas to change into. A shower could wait, though. She was definitely too tired for a shower. "I'm Aurora, by the way, but most everyone calls me Rory," she said and smiled sleepily.

WOW! Most people would've been a bit annoyed or angry if some one just flopped on them. "I'm Mercedes, Mercy for short. Nice to meet you Rory~ Wait, you have a kid?" That was something new. Granted most of the chosen that she's met are old enough to have kids, it just never occurred to her that one of them would actually have one. The liking of Captain America was a plus in her book. "How old is your daughter?" She also wanted to ask what God chose her, but she could wait for that since there really wasn't a great rush to get back to the campus or anything.

"Nice to meet you too, Mercy!" she said and leaned over the side of the beg to grab her bag. She rummaged through it for a moment and chuckled softly. "Yes, I have a daughter. She just turned thirteen." Rory couldn't keep that hint of 'proud mama' that always shone through in her voice when she talked about Aryssa. "I had her young, but I wouldn't give her up for the world." A moment later, she tugged her pajamas out of the very bottom of her bag: a pair of cut off yoga pants and a worn out t-shirt from the college her father had gone to. "What about you? You seem a little young to have kids, but I don't have much room to talk," she said with a quiet giggle. Without even pausing to think about what her roommate's reaction might be, Rory whipped off her shirt to change into her pajamas.

Her roommate seemed like the understanding type which was just fine with her. Mercy laughed when Rory asked if she had any kids, curly hair bouncing around as she shook. "No! Hahahaha God no! I would probably give birth to the anti-christ if I ever had a child!" She wiped the tears from her eyes before continuing, "My parents want me to have a child though since I am *technically* their only child. I have a half brother that will be born in a couple of months from my dad and his new wife though so he will count as my child when he is born since I'm going to spoil him rotten." Mercy didn't even blink when Rory started to get dressed, tilting her head to the side with a shrug. Tits were tits, and if she got embarrassed because she was viewing someone that had the same parts as her then she would've slapped herself. "What God choose you, Rory?" She really was curious considering the woman's seemingly gentle yet spazzy nature.

Rory snickered and giggled at the reaction her question got. "Fair enough," she said and smiled. There wasn't much she could say in response to her parents' expectations since Rory's own had always let their daughter do what she felt like. The benefits of hippie parents, she supposed. "I'm sure your half brother will love you," she laughed. She had a moment of worrying about Mercy's reaction to her sudden undressing, but the other woman didn't seem at all fazed so Rory shrugged it off. She pulled her top on before whipping her bra off. "Oh, finally," she groaned and flopped back onto the bed. "Hmm? Oh, Demeter," she said with a grin. "How about you?" Her jeans were next to go, still damp from the snow as they puddled onto the floor beside the bed. The yoga pants she pulled on were much more comfortable than her jeans and cut off just below her knees.

"I hope he does. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't be known as that cool big sister you know?" Mercy laughed and flopped back onto her own bed this time, grinning at the ceiling. "Hashtag free the boobs?" If she wasn't feeling so lazy, she would've taken off her bra already as well, the benefit of having small tits meant that you could technically go braless and no one wouldn't exactly notice the difference. Thank goodness she was blessed with an a** and some hips. If it wasn't for those two assets she'd be able to pass for a really interesting looking drag queen. "I'm an Ares, but lately, I'm starting to wonder if he might've made a mistake. I've been missing these shitty a** birds ever since I got here. I do land hits but just when I think I've gone ahead and broke the cycle, I miss again. It's frustrating as hell" She let out a small growl, rolling her eyes at how whiny she sounded right now. She was sure others were doing worse than her but performing their hero duties without a fuss. Perhaps that's why she's been failing lately. "I need to stop complaining..."

She laughed softly and nodded. "Being the cool big sister is definitely a good goal to have," she said with a smile. Laying back on the bed and stretching, Rory covered her mouth as she yawned. "Oh yes. Always the highlight of my bedtime routine," she giggled. "Ares, huh?" she listened as Mercy talked about her experiences with the birds. "I don't think he made a mistake. He's a god, right? Besides, none of us have really had a whole lot of training. And this is our first experience with the more...magical side of the world." She smiled over at the younger woman. "So relax. Don't let it get to you so much."

Well...Mercy liked Rory. She was so...Chill and laid back with everything that it just made you want to relax and take life seriously. "It's the best goal I could think of. I'm kind of...Afraid really. I mean, I've been an only child all my life so what if I don't do as good as I think I will you know? Being spoiled and all. I'll also have to share my father wich...I mean I share him with my step mom but she's a different thing entirely." Laying back and stretching on her bed as well, Mercy blinked then yawned as well, snorting. "You know that's contagious right? Shame on you~" She listened to Rory's reasoning about being picked by Ares, nodding at some key points. "True...I just feel like I have to constantly prove myself. I mean, I've been chosen by a God to protect the world apparently. Kinda puts a bit of pressure on you to make sure you try your damnest to represent your god the right way." Mercy was going to take Rory's advice and relax just a bit so she could get some sort of sleep in before going back out into the bird shitfest. "Hopefully, I can nap without hearing the squawks of birds and the clashing of swords...It was nice meeting, you Rory. I hope to see you again later~" Another yawn escaped her before she turned over and fell into a light sleep.

Rory smiled. "You'll do just fine, Mercy," she assured her. "Even if you get jealous and don't like sharing your dad, I think you'd still be a great big sister." She snorted and stretched, popping her back lightly. "My bad, I'll try to keep the yawns to a minimum," she laughed, then got a little more serious. "We all have, sweetie. We've all got the same pressure on us, so you're in good company." The red head smiled over at what she hoped was a new friend. "If it starts to get to you, you can always come talk to me." Rolling onto her stomach, Rory slid one arm under her pillow and hugged the extra one to her chest. "Sleep sounds amazing right about now," she murmured tiredly. "See you tomorrow, Mercy."
