If you successfully kill this bird, each party involved in the battle gets 15XP and rolls 1d100 to collect loot according to the following: 1-60: You gain nothing but the victory of having beaten this opponent. 61-75: Poisonous Dung: You manage to collect a vial of the vile stuff. It can be thrown at an opponent once to poison them, dealing 1 damage for 3 turns. After this, it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 76-90: Heart's Blood: You manage to collect a vial of the creature's blood. It can be used once to replenish 3 HP, at which point it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 91-100: Metal Feather: Once per battle, you can backstab with this small dagger. Add 2 to your final damage. This item is reusable and remains in your inventory.

There was something about these birds that made Mercy either: A: Lose Concentration B: Lose a bit of her hair due to the feathers C: Pissed her off because of a combination of A and B. So she wasn't all that surprised to find herself missing her umpteenth swing of her stay here in the alps. "D-Damn it!" At this point, there was someone laughing at her somewhere in this damned frozen mountain. If she ever figured out who, a bullet between the eyes or her hammer to their face would be the first thing she would do, hero work de damned. As soon as she gets back to the campus, she was going to practice her a** off and hopefully kick some poor fella in the gonads. "MATH! Think you can hit any of these metal things?!" She was having a nice time. She had been chatting with Mercy, gossiping about this and that, when they arrived. Aiming her dagger at the bird closest to her, she threw it, hitting the bird dead center. Mathilda: 45 Stupid Birds: 52Weapon: Dagger ( 4 + 1r)

Well, apparently the screeching kaw the bird made while it started falling to the ground answered her question. Mercy kicked her hammer back and swung like a batter, almost giggling with excitement once she heard the clang her hammer made against her metal opponent. "Yes! Finally!" Mathilda howled in laughter at watching Mercy swinging her war hammer around. "I don't think they like you, Mercy!" She watched as one aimed for Mercy's hair and aimed for that one. "No! They don't! They're trying to make me go bald!!!!" She ducked just in time as one bird swooped down to attack her only to squawk as it was hit by Mathilda's dagger. Mercy tried to hit it as it was coming down, but like clockwork, she missed yet again. "I'm seriously thinking I was picked by the wrong God. Mathilda laughed and kept launching her dagger at the birds near Mercy's hair. "It's like you're a modern day Snow White! They all wanna be your friend!" Snagging one, she brought it down, retrieving her blade and ran to stab it in a bird that looked quite comfortable in Mercy's hair. "Don't move!" "Pfft! I wish..." Mercy yelped and tried to move away from the bird that was now currently nesting in her hair, becoming as stiff as a board when she saw Mathilda racing towards her. "Nononononono WAITTT!" This bird was heavy as hell, but that didn't mean she couldn't handle it and try to get it off herself. She'snot an Aphrodite chosen, but that didn't mean she didn't like the way she looked! "Don't move! I got this!" Mathilda jumped and snagged the bird, stabbing her dagger into it. She gently patted Mercy's head once she was sure the bird was down. Mercy was not ashamed to admit that she let out a very high-pitched scream when Mathilda jumped at her, shaking like a leaf even after it was gone. "Damn it woman!" if she were any other person, she might've piddled a little. Instead of just sitting there, she saw a bird flying straight for Mathilda's back and charged forward, raising the hammer above her head and slamming it down before it could even scratch her comrade. The smaller Ares even kicked the metal bird for good measure. "Yes! Suck on that stupid metal turkey!" "No problem! The hair is VERY important!" She had a feeling she wouldn't look good bald anyway. Although, she was getting tired of missing. It was like she would be able to have a small glimpse of glory, only to be denied. Sad really. Mercy was starting to feel a bit tired, which wasn't good. "Ugh...." she squinted at a bird flying towards her and swung her bat at it, knocking it over by Mathilda's feet. "HOME RUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!" she wanted to kill off the rest of the horde so she could go back to her hotel room to get some sleep before coming back out into the fray again. "Swing Batter Batter Swing!"
