◓◓◓ Q ON CHARACTERS ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Q: Can I make any character I want? A: You can make a character any size, shape, age, color, or gender you want! They can be a trainer, a Gym Leader, a member of Team Void, even a member of the Elite 4, all from any region! Even people with jobs are open! A butcher, baker, candlestick maker, you get the point. This is the Pokemon world, where anyone can be anything they want.
Q: Can they be a Gym Leader? An Elite 4? A Champion? A: If you'd like to apply for a higher-ranking position than a normal trainer, please ask a moderator for permission. The answer will depend on how well-written the character is, and how their Pokemon team coordinates with the position.
Q: Can my character have superpowers? A: No. There are very few charas in the Pokemon series that have psychic powers, but this is due to a very deep or special connection. So if they are psychic, then there better be a good explanation. Also, immortality and/or being something like 200 years old with the body of a child is an instant no.
Q: Team Void looks like fun. What can I be there? A: Almost anything you want~! A grunt, office worker, cook/chef, nurse, assassin, undercover agent, bodyguard, lab scientist, personal assistant, anything! Every member of Team Void gets a room, 3 meals a day, and an all-access pass to the break room, gym, cafeteria, and courtyard. Just so you know though, the head of the team and his family are already taken.
Q: How powerful can I make my character? A: Pretty strong if you want. Just make sure it's not unreasonable. We're not letting anyone get away with an almighty powerful Champion of the World with a whole team of legendary Pokemon to boot. This is a guild with standards! Standards I say!
Q: What stuff should I put in my character's inventory? A: Oh, the standard stuff. Though this is just my opinion, so don't follow it word for word. You'll probably need some Pokeballs, potions, a berry or more, a revive crystal or two if you're experienced, and held items for your Pokemon if you do that kind of thing. On the more practical side, if your character travels, you'll need a change of clothes as well as a toothbrush, a lunchbox, a water bottle, a sleeping bag if they like camping, and something to carry money in. Oh, and a bicycle. It can't be a journey without a bicycle!
Q: Is my character allowed to fight alongside my Pokemon? A: Yes! This is going to help you if you're facing off against some trainer bully or the likes of Team Void. Do you know how to use a weapon? Your fists? Great, use them—especially if it looks like your battle isn't playing fair! If all six of your Pokemon faint, then who's gonna stop them from getting killed? You, of course! The point is, you don't need to know how to use a knife, sword, or a gun, to do battle alongside your Pokemon, but every upper hand you have is one they (probably) won't!
Q: If I make a Gym Leader, can my Gym be a theme instead of type-based? A: This is hard to answer. It all depends how well the concept of your theme is, and how you plan to execute it. Wanna do a gym based on only starter Pokemon? Or where they're all based on mythical creatures? Sure, but you have to really show us this is going to be a challenge rather than a cute gimmick first. Sometimes a theme will fall in with a type-based gym. For example, the "mythical creature" Pokemon you suggest are all Fairy-types or Dark-types. Something like that would be perfectly fine! But just in case, run it by the moderators before you make the thread for your gym!
Q: Can I be Ash/Brock/Misty/Lance/Oak/Giovanni/Arceus? A: No. Roleplaying canon characters isn't allowed here. We're trying to make this an original experience for everyone involved!
Q: Can they be related to Ash/Brock/Misty/Lance/Oak/Giovanni/Arceus? A: NOPE. The last thing we want is to see a character who is the mother, father, son, daughter, cousin, or love interest of X character. That's a one-way ticket to Mary Sue-ville.
Q: Can they be a Pokemon gijinka? A: Wha- No!!! How would something like that even work in this roleplay? And don't answer that!
Q: Can I make it so my character was fused with a Pokemon? A: NOPE. That's something Team Void tried once, and it was a total disaster. They wouldn't even live past 30 seconds. Not every Pokemon has actual functioning organs! Some are just floating ghosts or shapeless blobs!
Q: Something's wrong with my character profile. All these things in brackets are showing. How do I fix it? A: Oh boy. Okay, you see the places where it says COLOR1 and COLOR2? That's where you have to input color codes. That'll add some color to your profile and ultimately make all the brackets go away. Normally it wouldn't matter if this were a forum RP, but seeing how the guild coding is weird, ye don't really have a choice. Click here for a list of colors you can use. Mind you, though, you'll have to input the hex code for some/most of them (the #000000 thing). And don't forget the #!!!
Q: What about the brackets that have size=9 in them? What does that mean? A: That means there's a chance, a chance, you accidentally erased part of the code when copying and pasting. They're supposed to disappear when they're paired with a /size bracket at the end of whatever section it was put in. Just let OriSODEhime know, and she'll fix it for you. Or teach you how to fix it.

◓◓◓ Q ON POKEMON ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Q: I looked at the profile code. What does "years of experience" mean?A: Simple! That asks how many years the character has had interacting with Pokemon, training them to be the very best, or just being their best friend.Q: Do my Pokemon have to know HM moves?A: Screw those. They're only for getting through obstacles in the games. Your Pokemon shouldn't have to know the move Cut just to cut down a little sprout blocking the road. Why not just step over it or push it to the side? Of course, there's still the issue of needing to climb a waterfall for whatever reason. For that, just have a sturdy Water-type Pokemon ready that can carry your weight.Q: Can I use my Pokemon to fly from one town to another?A: Only if the Pokemon can use Fly in-game and can carry your weight. Unlike game physics, a Pidgey can't carry you all the way from Vaniville to Couriway Town. Plus, Pokemon get tired! Some may have the willpower to fly that distance if they've been trained to endure the weight of the world on their back (no offense), but they need to eventually take a break. You can't ride a Charizard that far, then say "Oh crap I left my wallet at the Pokemon Center!" and fly right back the same distance just to get it. But if you have a second Pokemon that's trained well and can fly as far as the first just did, then go right ahead.Q: Can I use my Pokemon to surf across water?A: Only if they can swim and carry your weight. So a Magikarp or an itty bitty Spheal won't cut it. If you need to do it multiple times across some ponds, streams, or small rivers, then go right ahead. But if it's across the ocean from one region to the next, then I hope you packed an inner tube. Like I said, Pokemon need a break! Of course, there's always the clever option of tying a raft or some skis to a Pokemon so you won't necessarily have to ride on their back.Q: How about to smash rocks or climb cliffs?A: If they know how to smash a rock, push boulders, or carry your weight, then sure. Just make sure they're strong enough to do it!Q: Can I have all my Pokemon out at once?A: Sure. They all have to come out for air at some point, right? Of course, don't use them all at once for battle purposes, especially when your opponent only has one Pokemon out to fight yours. Remember, battling is an honorable sport and should be played fairly! Unless you're in Team Void. That's literally the only way to play dirty in this RP.Q: How many Pokemon can my character have?A: Depends on the character. If they're well-experienced with Pokemon, like if they've been a breeder for 3+ years or work in a Pokemon lab, then I'd say you're allowed to have a full team. It just depends on which are fully evolved and whatnot. If they just left the lab with a brand new set of empty Pokeballs, I'd say one starter. There's a list you can choose from, actually! Click here to see what's available.Q: Is it possible to have more than 6 Pokemon?A: Of course! If your character has a lot of experience and probably caught more than they could hold, there's always the option of a PC box. I mean, look at Ash and the herd of Tauros he caught in the Safari Zone. It's not unheard of to want to catch them all! .Q: Team Void makes fused Pokemon. Can I have one of those?A: Only in a very limited case. If your character has a fused Pokemon, that means either they work for Team Void, or had a beloved Pokemon taken away and experimented on at some point. So you can't be a starting trainer who has a fusion Pokemon and acts like it's a normal thing! Either way, we're treating this almost like shiny Pokemon. One fusion per character! If you'd like for Team Void to "interfere" and distort a Pokemon belonging to your character, please contact a moderator, and we'll work out a little arrangement~.Q: Can I have a Pokemon with a Mega Evolution?A: Of course! Your whole team can be mega evolving Pokemon if you want, but the rule is only ONE can be active at a time. Also, their Mega Stone has to be their held item.Q: Can I have a legendary Pokemon?A: NOPE. We had a crazy legendary system in the last incarnation of this RP, and you better believe we're not going through that again. If you want to say you character saw a legendary Pokemon at some point in their past, that's fine. But it's limited to one encounter per character. There will be points in the roleplay where everyone has the chance to encounter a legendary Pokemon, but there's almost no way in hell anyone's gonna be able to catch one. Q: Can I have a shiny Pokemon?A: Yes. However there will only ever be one shiny Pokemon per species for the entire RP. So there will never be two shinies of the same Pokemon. So if one RPer has a shiny Pikachu, then no one else can have a shiny Pikachu, Pichu, or Raichu. Hence the "per species" bit. Also, RPers cannot have more than one shiny regardless of the amount of characters they play. Refer here for a list of what's open and what's taken.

◓◓◓ Q ON PLACES ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Q: Can I set up a thread in this/that subforum? A: Of course! The moderators don't have to do everything, you know. If you want to set up a thread for a Pokemon Center, the Poke Mart, a shop, or someone's house, go right ahead!
Q: This place doesn't exist yet, and I need it to. Can I make it exist? A: Like I said, go right ahead!
Q: Can I edit the intro post/description of a place so it includes this/that? A: No. Whoever made the thread intended for it to stay that way. If you want it to include a file cabinet or the door to a bathroom, then just mention it in your post; it's no big deal. But if you want to include something like a secret room full of fusion experiments your superiors don't know about, that's just not gonna happen.
Q: Can I add subforums? A: Consult the moderators first.
Q: Does my character have to be born in Kalos or live there? A: Not if you don't want them to! Like I said before, you can make anyone you want here, from Kalos, Kanto, Sinnoh, they can come from anywhere they want!
Q: Can I roleplay as a character in another region like Kanto or Johto? A: The location of this roleplay is in primarily Kalos, so no. If you're just holding a video/phone conversation with a minor character or an NPC from another region, that's a-okay.
Q: What if someone wants to challenge the Gym, and my Gym Leader isn't there? What do I do? A: Well, if the Gym Leader is going somewhere, they should probably put up a sign saying they'll be gone for a while. Or the sign could say where to find the Gym Leader, if you don't want to miss out on battles!
Q: There's a place that probably belongs to another character, where I need my own character to do something. Can I make it a thread? A: You better consult whoever owns the character whose back they're snooping behind first. And don't be surprised if they want to make or edit the initial description to match their tastes.
