Hope's Warm Embrace is a newly remodeled and already famous bar and grill located in the most busy part of Death City. It was once a run-down diner, on it's last leg and nearly shut down by the city, however, with the help of Kain Fatum, current partner of Shira Death and one of the few Death Scythes in the world, the diner would be saved and upon buying the diner from it's owner, Kain would remodel it and make it into it's current form. Being a busy man, Kain couldn't possibly attend to the diner and his affairs simultaneously, so he hired on a manager to see to the everyday business. From time to time, Kain will stop by the diner and check in on all the employees and customers. At other times he is seemed working in the kitchen, helping prepare the food, making and/or serving drinks or waiting on customers, when the staff is undermanned.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As he and Shira left the manor, Kain would take the lead and head towards down town Death City. That is usually where most of the people shopped and ate. With Shira in tow, Kain walked rather quickly towards one of the more busy parts of the city and after about 30 minutes, the duo would be on the corner of the street, standing before a not so good-looking restaurant called Hope's Warm Embrace. Turning around, Kain smiled at Shira and then pointed at the restaurant. "Hoe about this one? I hear that it's pretty good and the service is superb." Kain stated just as an waitress would exit the door and to her shock, saw Kain standing there in front of her. "Oh! Mr. Fatum?! I didn't expect you to be here today. I mean,,,,,uh, I thought that you were busy with meetings all day." the waitress would say before noticing Shira and bowing. With a slight laugh, Kain waved the woman off, "I'm finished with work for today, so I thought that I'd come by and have a nice lunch, with Shira. Also, there's no need to be so formal with me, Sarah. Just treat me like any other person." Hearing Kain, Sarah smiled and nodded, "Ah, is that so, well then, welcome to Hope's Warm Embrace. Please follow me and I'll seat you immediately." As Sarah went in, Kain stood aside, held the door and let Shira go first.

She looked up at the sign before looking at Kain, smiling and nodding "It looks nice," she said before a waitress came out. Shira blinked in surprise as she seemed to recognize Kain. She was about to ask when the waitress told them to follow her. She grinned up at Kain as he opened the door for her and walked in, following the waitress to their table and sitting down. Shira glanced around quietly with a curious gaze. She had heard about this place being quite popular lately but had yet to actually go and try it out. ▬ ▬ ▬

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As Shira and Kain made their way to their table, most of the staff and some of the customers could be seen staring and waving at Kain, as he would smile and wave back. Once they were seated, Sarah would hand them both menus and bow. "Please look over our menus and I will be back shortly to take your order." she stated before walking off. Strangely enough, the woman seemed to have become nervous. Noticing this, Kain would sigh, "I wonder if it was too much for me to come here today?" he muttered out loud. Having just now realized this, Kain glanced at Shira and smiled. "Sorry about all this. I thought that it would be good to bring you here, seeing as I own this place." Kain revealed, ever so causally. "I didn't expect that coming as a customer would have made the staff nervous. I mean, I come here and work in the kitchen and bar from time to time, but I guess having their boss as a customer is whole other matter."

She blinked again and laughed as Kain admitted that he owned the place. Now everything made sense. "It is alright. You should be glad they seem to care a lot about your opinion on things. The rest of your staff also seems to like you a lot," she replied with a soft smile. "So you have been helping out a lot? That explains where you have been running off to. Well I really look forward to seeing how this lunch date turns out," she said as her gaze shifted to her menu. ▬ ▬ ▬

I would like for you to keep this a secret from Mirai." Kain stated before placing his menu down. He had already planned on ordering his favorite dish, anyway. "You see. Once she has matured a bit more and become a proper adult. I plan on giving this restaurant to her or rather letting her become part owner and head chef. I know how much she loves cooking and judging from the meal she prepared at the wedding, she clearly has a talent for it. So I figured that this would be the perfect stepping stone for her."

Her gaze shifted to the menu again as she seemed to think about something "It is so strange to think of the fact that a couple years ago, Mirai and Vincent weren't even here yet... Vincent, Mirai, and Texas have grown up quite a bit since then. In more ways than one," she commented. ▬ ▬ ▬

Something, he had tried not to dwell on, too much. "Yes, all three are shaping up to be great adults, though no matter how grown up they become, I will always think of them as kids, that I must protect. Coming from both an older brother and a Death Scythe, that is."

He owned the place and every now and then, he would come in and cook, so there were plenty of options for him to choose, but he also had to take into account Shira's taste. "Hm, how about our Special Soul Alfredo with our own special sauce." he stated. "I'm sure you would fine that delicious. We don't usually make that dish unless someone specifically orders it. As it requires a fine and skilled chef to prepare it perfectly."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "I think that I'll get the Alfredo as well." Kain would state, just as the waitress from before, came running over to them. She had an distraught look on her face and judging by all the commotion that was going on in the kitchen, it wasn't hard for Kain to realize what was going on. "Um...I'm sorry to bother you and Lady Death at such an private time, but we......well, we sort of need your help." the woman stated as she bowed, nervously towards Kain. Sighing, Kain would motion for her to stand back up, "You don't have to bow, just tell me the problem." Kain would say. Sitting back up and trying to recompose herself, the waitress would go on to tell Kain and Shira that the head chef had suddenly collapsed, no doubt because of the intense heat of the grills and stoves, not to mention all of the dishes he needed to prepare as well as managing the other chefs. The stress had been too much for the man and he would collapse. As soon as he collapsed, the kitchen went into a frenzy, the chefs, the managers, the waiters, everybody began panicking. "So, that's why it's so loud back there." Kain stated before looking at Shira, giving her a regretful smile and then back at the waitress. "Alright, well first thing first, make sure that you've called the ambulance for the Head Chef, until it arrive, carefully move him to my office, it's air conditioned and properly ventilated. Next, tell the waiters to compose themselves and to come back out here and engage with the customers. Tell the managers that they should help take orders and make sure everyone has been taken care of. I'll go and maintain the kitchen and the other chefs, personally." With that, the waitress would smile and nod, "Yes, sir." Looking around, Kain would see waiters and waitresses coming out and going back to work, as well as the managers coming out to help them. The kitchen seemed to have calmed down a bit, which was Kain's cue. "Shira, I'm sorry, but it looks like I'm going to have to go cook for a bit. You wanna join me?" he asked, before standing up and carefully moving his jacket, placing it on the back of his chair and then rolling up his sleeves.

At first she thought it was time to order but then the waitress seemed a bit distressed. Upon finding out that the Head Chef had collapsed, Shira's brow furrowed slightly. She glanced over at Kain as he immediately took charge of the matter. She blinked in surprise as Kain asked if she wanted to join him "Ah? I-I don't think that may be a good idea. I am not that good of a cook," she stated a bit shyly "And I don't want to get in the way..."▬ ▬ ▬

"Why would you be in the way?" he asked. "I want you there. I want you by my side. I want to cook with you. You won't be bothering anyone or interfering in anyway. Besides, it wouldn't be as fun, if you're not with me." Kain would say before reaching down and pulling Shira up. "Also, what better way is there to learn how to cook, by watching and cooking along side many great chefs?"

She was still a little nervous about helping out. She took the small ribbon that was in her hair and untied it before pulling her hair back and tying it into a ponytail. ▬ ▬ ▬
