Meru had to wonder if she was the worst possible page. It's not like she didn't care about people and others like her, but she definitely didn't know how to do anything. She looked down at her ring; sure it was pretty and transformed her into another 'being', but what was she to do?
Most nights she powered up, Meru would just wander the streets. She realized that one difference she did have being powered and not was that she could 'sense' people around her. After her first few curious run ins, she'd learn to avoid them, whether they be good or bad.
This night had been quiet and it felt good. Meru spent time looking up into the night sky and stargazing. Her mind wander and before she realized it, she was headed towards someone. The energy signature definitely wasn't safe, but Meru's mind was thinking about what else could be up in space.
She turned the corner and found herself face to face with a male with green eyes and light brown or blonde hair. "Oh dear.." Meru said under her breath as she paused, hoping that he wouldn't notice her.

Lieutenant Crocoite was not expecting to find a white moon aura hurrying toward him so soon. He had only just started his patrol, after all, and had not even scoped out a victim yet, let alone start gathering any energy. Whoever this do-gooder was, they must have been one of the very proactive ones. Perhaps one looking for a fight, to ensure no evil was done by chaos that night.
They were the kind Painite liked to play with the most, and he had seen how wicked she could get rather personally. He'd only just healed from the last lesson with her, so he was not looking forward to crossing her again. That meant he had to handle this problem, no matter what it was, on his own.
He was not about to call her to save him again, unless absolutely necessary. it turned out, he was in more danger from her than from most of the white moon. At least this aura was not as strong as the other one he'd picked on: a hard learned lesson. It would behoove him to pick only on fights he could possibly win. People around his own level.
There were probably not that many people out there just starting out like he was, though, so he had to be careful.
He noticed Meru immediately, eyes looking her over and noting that she did not actually seem to be paying attention to him. Had she been looking up at the sky?
"Good evening, miss," he said leisurely, cane already summoned. He leaned on it with both hands, positioned directly in front of him, clasped over the carved crocodile head that acted as the cane's handle.

"So much for not seeing me.." Meru put her hands behind her back and smiled meekly, hoping that he'd just leave her be. She noticed the cane in her hand and fiddled with the ring on her finger behind her back. Why couldn't she have gotten something more useful. If not attacking, at least defending herself!
Meru gave him a slight wave and responded. "Good evening. I hope you're having a good one, but I must be going now." She didn't turn away from him. Instead, she slowly walked backwards, hoping to turn the corner and then run. "It was... nice bumping into you!"
It was a poor attempt at getting away from someone and Meru knew it. She noticed that he seemed... Too comfortable when bumping into her. "Please don't let this hurt much..."

"Going so soon? That is very inconsiderate of you. It is rude to run out on an introduction. Unless you've already decided you don't like me."
He grinned, watching her backing away. She got the right impression from him, judging by her actions. She wanted to get away from him, since he seemed like he was looking for a fight, which he was. She also did not want to show him her back by turning all the way around to leave.
Probably a smart idea. Keeping an eye on him, however, would not keep her safe.
"But I have some business to complete, and you seem the perfect target for it. Forgive me, but I am going to complete that mission!"
He charged at her, gripping his cane in both hands, nearer to the bottom of it so he could swing the thing like a bat when he got close enough. He was not going to hold back, though it was not the sturdiest of weapons yet. At first rank, it was liable to break if he used it too freely.

"My apologies for that, but... I have somewhere to be?" Meru was still walking backwards slowly with a smile, but knew this wasn't going well. "You haven't really introduced yourself and neither have I, so does that even count?"
Meru had to admit that she didn't know why he said to 'forgive' him. It sounded polite, but he definitely didn't want to act that way. How confusing. She never did understand how people go to be dark enough to be Chaos aligned. She would need to have a good conversation with one of them eventually.
"W-wait!" She was too late. Meru watched as he made his move, she tried to scoot backwards a little faster, but she still needed to watch him to make sure she wouldn't get hit too badly.

ATh e a r t So sorry for the wait. As per usual, I am terrible at tagging. ;-; I forget, was someone supposed to come in and help her out?
At least, not yet.
His cane smacked her hard in the shoulder, with more force than he had expected. The result was a solid hit, yes, but also a sharp crack that echoed through the air as his cane split through the wood, then splintered and broke into pieces. He was left holding the broken wooden end of it, while the crocodile head rolled away lamely.
That was not what he had wanted, but he hoped he at least landed a hard enough hit to stun the senshi and maybe get a chance to siphon some energy.

Meru really didn't understand the lengths of some people. Yes, there were terrible people in the world, but how was it that they were able to look past causing people pain? Would they not care if people they cared about were in pain.
As her enemy went to strike, Meru tripped and fell on her bottom. The cane landed squarely on her left shoulder and man, did it hurt. There wasn't much she could do as she continued to scoot backwards on her bottom, left arm stunned and in pain. She really hoped that there would be no permanent damage.
She was glad, however, that the weapon seemed to be broken, at least for now. Her body was still very much in shock, but Meru knew what she had to do. "Run.... RUN." Her body ached and she would need to get her arm checked out, but she needed to survive in order to do that. She scrambled with her one still-working arm to stand up and run as fast as she could.
Meru didn't look back as she went, trying to get herself as far away from that energy signature as she could.
