- The previous evening had start out fun and Foras had assumed it was going to end that way as well. The Prom had been a lot of fun and he had truly enjoyed the time he had spent with Alioth. If you had told him he'd wake up the following morning realizing that his feelings were being tugged on by another person he'd call you crazy. He loved his Starshine, they had so much in common and they enjoyed each others company. But that night had ended with him comforting Ganymede after Chries had utterly crushed him. Foras had never been so angry on another person's behalf before and it was a rather eye opening experience.
When he had laid his head down for bed that night he wasn't expecting his dreams to betray his true feelings. He had dreamt about a time when he was small and still very shy and unsure of his place in the world. When Gany was mean to him and he didn't know what to make of it. When he'd received counsel from a friend and started to look at the purple Geist in a different way. In a way that didn't make him a bully or someone to be angry with. But rather, someone to understand and...like. Yes, and then some pompous Imp had swooped in to take his crush away from him. It was like he was seeing exactly how he had felt the entire time.
He woke up a bit startled that next morning. He could tell he hadn't really slept all that way, but he told himself not to complain since he knew Ganymede must have had a worse night than he did. He sat up in his bed and glanced over long enough to tell that Gany was still in bed and then he crawled out of his own quietly. He didn't want to make too much noise changing and it was still early enough that he didn't really care about his appearance. So he snatched up his bag and sketch book and quietly made his way out of the room and outside. It was a mild morning, he found a tree to sit against with little effort, but when he tried to settle on something to draw his mind was too much of a mess to figure anything out.
What was he going to do about Alioth? Until last night he was positive that the colorful Fallen was number one in his heart. He was positive that his feelings for Ganymede were nothing but friendship. Things had started to change recently, even before Chries had broken up with Gany. When they were alone together there would sometimes be these awkward moments. He was pretty sure it might have become obvious to others as well. He remembered a look Leilah had given him at prom....
He realized it then, how completely unfair he was being to Alioth. He did have feelings for the Fallen, but he didn't think they were quite the...romantic feelings that either of them were looking for. He felt bad...like he had wasted Alioth's time while he was just being a brat because someone took his crush from him. Last night had definitely opened his eyes again though. It was okay to like more than one person. But...he honestly didn't think he could love them both equally right now and the last thing he wanted to do was walk up to Gany and be like "You should join Alioth and me sometime." Ugh, the thought alone made him shudder.
He needed to have a talk with his boyfriend, a serious one. One he knew was going to hurt both of them. He had a feeling that after a while they could be friend though. The two of them were too...similar to be kept apart forever. A part of him worried that someone else by be concerned about their continued friendship though. He didn't think anything would happen any time soon. He'd stay single for a while, do as much flirting as he did before, and well...see where that got him after a while.
Without realizing what he was doing he had already begun to pull out his well-used purple and blue pencils....
