Warren had been crawling through some rough terrain for about an hour and he was not making the time he wanted. "At this rate it is going to take me forever to reach Tale!" he sighed. He stopped to take a break. He reached into his bag and pulled out a canteen. After taking a generous gulp of water he looked at the cliffs to his right. They stretched far ahead of him and the ground around him was as uneven as a pile of fallen books.

He thought of how the aldabuk back home would have no problem climbing and jumping trough the rocky landscape. While he and his father did most of the herding, they could be pretty good guides to water and fresh grazing. It sometimes lead to shortcuts or better resources. If only he had a few with him now, they might prove useful in leading him out of here.

As Warren twisted the top back on his canteen, movement on the cliffs caught his eye. For a second he thought it was a aldabuk, but it was actually a capramel! It was on the side of the rock wall, and appeared to be floating. The hooves must have tremendous grip for it to be able to climb a cliff wall with such ease.

"Hymmmmn..." He pondered, "Not unlike an aldabuk. The aldabuk of Sauti!"

Warren got a mischievous look on his face and started towards the cliff. Perhaps there were other Capramel. Perhaps they could show him another way through the area. He got close to the cliff and looked up at the shaggy mountain climber. It was looking back at him. Warren tried to coax it to come closer by making some clicking noises he used with his aldabuk herd.
"Come on now, I just want to be friends."

His calls didn't appear to work. It continued to stare back at him, stiff as stone. Warren knew he couldn't get closer, he wasn't exactly the best at rock climbing, and he had no gear. He rested his hands on his hips and stared back at the capramel. The two stayed that way, not moving for a whole minute. A thought crept across his mind. "Might it be possible, it is stuck up there?" He could not see how the creature got up there to begin with, it was just there when he found it. How long had it been there? How long could it stay up there?

Another minute passed in silence. Sweat had begun to bead on Warren's forehead. Now he just wanted to see if it could move. He picked up a few small stones at his feet and lobbed them up at the capramel. The first stone fell short, the second was at the right height but hit to far to the left. The last stone hit the animal square on the a**. It flinched and reared its head. It looked back at Warren and bleated once before it hopped up the cliff another eight feet. Warren groaned.

"Fine! I don't need you! Just stay here and make love to your rocks then!" he thew his arms up in frustration and turned to leave. *click clack* The sound of hooves pattering on the rock behind him. Before Warren could finish turning around he felt something hit him from the side; knocking him down. He rolled onto his back to face the bully, it was another capramel! This one was larger, and it was standing on his back legs rearing to land its head on Warren again. It was enough time for him to brace defensively, and he managed to catch its curved horns as they came down on him.

Warren tried to roll with the beast to throw it over the side of the rock but the beast was stronger than expected. The capramel instead pushed Warren back and knocked him over the edge of the rock. He fell about five feet onto his back. Warren had to kick to keep the angered ram from dive bombing onto him. He scrambled to his feet and backed away a few feet.

"Alright alright! You can keep your rock! I was just leaving anyway!" he exclaimed.

Warren didn't have the time or patience for this. He figured walking away would get him home faster than wrestling some mountain billy. He continued south, fed up and more frustrated than before. The Capramel joined his mate on the cliff where they laughed at the miserable earthling.
