Hot and muggy, overall nasty for anybody in layers of clothes like Havasu was. He could pull his jacket off, and even the vest-chest protector thing, but the knight was a little too enamored with his uniform to do so. Who else could say they got to dress like one bad a** cowboy? So instead he got to quietly suffer… Well not so quietly since he amused himself by humming camp songs to himself as he traversed the dark rooftops of the city.

“John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt,” the sadly haired squire paused on a empty rooftop to belt out the start of a rather obnoxious, never ending camp son. He wasn't too worried about chaos sneaking up on him since the area was pretty much empty of all upper forms of life, though there were a few negaverser a that made Hav wonder if they belonged in that category.

It was almost hard to believe that the young man currently amusing himself while studying the dark streets with childish camp songs had been a wreck months before. After a few weeks of deliberately drinking himself into a stupor, picking fights when ever he could, and overall making a nuisance of himself his parents stepped in and now, while his heart still ached at times, he was doing much better. Even if he still didn't understand why she had left him.

He hadn't been back from vacation long, only a few days, and already he was back to patrolling. It wasn't something he'd done in a while, for various reasons, but he was powered up and wandering the city on his own. It was hot but nothing he couldn't handle, especially in his uniform. he was actually dreading winter, and planning to find a way to get a coat on over his uniform, he just hoped a coat wouldn't interfere with fighting.

Figuring he was safe, though he was sure a few people he knew would scold him for what he was doing, Venice had his earbuds in blasting music into his pierced ears as he hummed along to the music that pounded out of the tiny headset that attached, via cord, to the ipod he had.

Standing on a rooftop looking around, wondering which way to go, the page decided to head off to the right. He didn't expect that shortly after he would pick up on the signature of another knight - but he did. Maybe this was a good thing? Heading for the signature the page of Ganymede picked up his pace as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop as music pounded over his headset and filled his head with familiar lyrics, a familiar language. Mouthing the words under his breath as he made his way toward the signature.

Hav was debating on heading out, maybe go actively looking for some trouble by heading into a more lively part of the city like downtown or something. But he wasn’t really sure he was up for it. It was more quiet out here in this part of the city. More calming. It was a good way to ease back into things. Even after being back for a few months, returning right before the end of the college semester, he had been keeping his nightly jaunts to a minimum. It helped that his days and a good chunk of his nights were full. If he wasn't working at a quirky bookstore run by an even quirkier owner then he was working with any number of personnel from the various companies his family was part of. So most of his hours were filled right to the brim, it helped keep his mind off of more personal matters, but every so often Havasu found himself at loose ends. He still had a job to do in protecting the city, even if it felt more like a job now than it ever did before.

The sandy haired squire resettled his hat and was about to head off to another part of the city when he felt an aura approaching. It took him a split second to determine that it was a order aura, and a weaker one at that. He still could leave. He could still go looking for trouble since Havasu knew the page wouldn’t sense him for a few more moments but that window was closing fast. Mentally sighing he decided to stick around, besides maybe he could get a bit of training out of it… it was almost as good as dusting some youma… kinda.

Surprisingly it didn’t take long for him to spot the other order fighter approaching, a very welcome surprise since Havasu recognized the distinctive outfit of the page. With a smile and a wave the squire welcomed Venice. “Hey man. How's it going?”

it was as he closed the distance between himself and the squire that he gave pause - he knew them. It wasn't someone new, which perhaps was a good thing. He knew meeting new people was a good thing in this war but he had never been the most social of individuals, as he'd never had a lot of friends, having to make friends in this war was a very new concept for him and add to it the barriers between himself and these people in this city - sometimes he wondered about it and wished to not meet new people.

This wasn't a new person though and he was pleased with it in the end, after thinking it over on the way toward the signature. While his uniform hadn't changed, something which secretly bothered him, his hair had. It was almost entirely black, it's natural color, but he had some streaks of a reddish color mixed in. The style had remained the same however, as had the multiple piercings he boasted.

"Havasu." Calling out to the other as he resumed his approach. One hand had come up to wave before he made his way to the roof top the other resided on. ""Good, you?" He asked while dark eyes scanned the others form, making sure he seemed in good health - which was good. He hadn't seen the other in a long time, not since the dinner at Xanthus' home, and anything could happen in that amount of time.

The squire watched the page approach, surprise flashing across his face when Venice pulled earbuds from his ears. That really didn't seem like a good idea when out patrolling. He wondered if Erebus knew his boyfriend patrolled while listening to music or if it was more of a one time deal. “That's good. And Erebus? The others?” It never hurt to ask about the others especially since he hadn't seen them much after the group dinner. He didn't ask about Delilah directly, didn't want to get the other knight tangled up in his thing. Besides they were through so he really needed to let her go, no matter what his heart was saying.

Giving himself a mental shake, Havasu shrugged. “Not too bad. Working a lot. Patrolling when I can.” With a nod he indicated the earbuds the page had been using, “whatcha’ listenin too? Anything interesting?” He hesitated a moment and asked, “Can you hear everything around you with those in?” Hav knew it wasn’t really his place to criticize or even ask but the page was a friend. He had to at least make sure Venice knew the risks of not being able to hear someone approaching, even a regular civilian could kill them. Knights weren't invincible after all.

"Erebus is good, home I think. Took short vacation...still might be tired." He answered while the white cord hung about his neck. The white color standing out against the red of his uniform vest, he really was hoping for a shirt at some point...hopefully before winter. "Haven't seen others...Xanthus was helping with driving." Since his driving wasn't the best, not that it was his fault. He had a license back home, so he'd had no reason to think his driving was bad...until he'd scared Terry badly.

"Sounds like lots going on for you." Which was a good thing he supposed. He was used to being busy, working, patrolling, and other things. Lately though, before the short vacation, he hadn't been much for powering up unless he was going to his wonder. It was something he supposed he needed to work on, get back into things...but did he want to? He had been injured, rather badly, the last time he'd powered up and gotten involved in a fight and by some sort of...berserker, he still didn't understand that whole thing.

"Wouldn't understand, music from home....is good though." He said nodding to his ear buds, which still blasted music into the cool night air. Reaching for the ipod he had he turned it off quickly, which should give the squire the answer he was seeking...something the page didn't do himself. "Can hear some." Not really...especially if he turned it up a bit louder.

Hav chuckled a bit at hearing that Venice’s partner needed a staycation to recover from the vacation. “That sounds pretty normal actually. For some reasons vacations always seem to make you tired by the time you come back.” He shrugged and nodded like he understood the comment about the mars knight helping with the driving. The squire didn’t actually know that Venice couldn’t drive very well although if he had, the sandy haired young man would have offered to help as well even though his normal mode of transportation was a vespa type scooter. Cars were expensive to maintain, especially in the city where parking was a premium.

Standing there in the darkness the squire could actually hear the music blaring from the two diminutive earpieces. It wasn’t anything he had really listened too, as far as he knew at least. He was one of those guys who turned on the radio and let it play whatever so Hav could have heard this type of music before but it wasn't terribly likely. What really concerned him was just how loud it was. “Look man,” He hesitated a moment, winced and took off his had to scrub his hand through his hair. It wasn’t really his place but he had to at least tell the page. “I get wanting to listen to music. I really do… but, if you can’t here whats going on around you then…” He trailed off with a shrug. “After all who said a baddie had to be powered to sneak up on you,” Havasu explained.

Humming contemplatively like to himself for a moment he puzzled out a way to at least still be able to listen to an ipod while out patrolling. After all it got a bit boring just roof hopping all by yourself sometimes. “If you're with someone else I guess it wouldn't be too bad but then the music isn’t really needed is it.” He shifted a bit as he worked on a plausible solution, “It's like what runners should do. Be aware of their surroundings so they don't get hit or anything. I guess you could keep one of the earbuds out or have the music low enough so you can still hear what's going on but that still kinda sucks.”

"Was also to Korea...many different things - shocking....and many things to do." It had been a bit of a culture shock for his partner, plus Terry hadn't slept well most of the time since they had rollout beds rather than the normal western style bed. To be honest, as he had been with Terry, he preferred the beds back home to the western bed he had here, in order to fit in. He'd even gotten a western bed for his wonder, knowing Terry might spend time up there...in bed. "Didn't sleep well either...wrong bed." He offered up. Terry needed the break at his home after the short vacation they'd had.

That...hadn't been something he'd thought of. When compared to the real bad guys in the city he hadn't thought of normal civilian ones. At the others words he nodded slowly. "Will keep it lower, had not thought of it. Too much focus on real bad ones." At least the real bad guys in this city, the ones who committed the worst offenses. It wasn't like a pickpocket, or someone who would rob you at gun point took your soul or summoned up shadow like monsters.

Both options were possible and for now he settled for turning his music down before stepping closer to the other. With the ipod in a pant pocket, again, he slipped one of the ear buds into the others ear and then the other, letting him listen to something he'd likely never heard before. They didn't play Korean music here on the radio.

Hav couldn’t hold back his laugh, “yeah ‘sleeping’ well is always a pain in the ‘wrong’ bed.” His innuendo might go over the page’s head but the face he was making was pretty clear for anyone who read such things. The sandy haired young man knew what it was like to travel to strange places so he could imagine how surprised and bewildered Terry had been. But he was sure that over all it had been a good experience for the two. It would definitely give the American a good idea what it was like for Venice here in the city even after the page had been here for a while. Maybe foster some more patience with any harder to understand concepts… like driving or the DMV. Granted no one understood that hell. Havasu wondered if that was what hell really was, an endless wait at the DMV, if not hell then at least purgatory.

“Well yeah. A robber don’t care if you're just in a vest as long as it looks like you have something to steal they might go after you.” He paused and added after a moment of thought. “Actually a negaverser could, in theory at least, sneak up on any of us as a civilian before powering up and doing damage.” His face seemed shadowed as he thought of those implications. Just how bad it would be if an order fighter went to help an ‘injured’ civilian only to find that the civi went from being harmless to deadly in a split second when it was already too late to get away. Granted the same could be said for order but it didn’t seem like anything the ‘side of light’ would do, besides what negaverser would go out of their way to help a mundane civi. “They also have a nasty habit of teleporting. No idea about who, what, where, or how of it just that they can which is a b***h when you're fighting one.” Belatedly Hav wondered if the Knight, or even Senshi, database had anything about the teleporting. If not they really should since that is one nasty surprise when you're in the middle of a fight.

With a physical shake of his head the squire did his best to dislodge those kind of thoughts and focus on the teammate in front of him, as well as keeping his senses open. Both of them here together posed a target that others might find tempting, they would learn otherwise but that didn't mean it wouldn’t be a problem at first.

Hav settled the little earbud more comfortably in his ear, a bit surprised that Venice had come over to let him listen to his music. It took him a bit but he finally nodded and pulled the bud out, “Cool. Not something I’ve really heard before but it's got a good beat and melody.”

Staring at the other he shook his head. He understood what the other was saying but really? He could understand Terry's issue with the bed though, he wasn't exactly comfortable with a western bed either. he was getting used to it though, had been getting used to it since moving here. It was still at times a bit odd but it was becoming something he was more and more used to, though he still didn't prefer it.

The last point was true...it was something he, or anyone powered, could do as well. Sneaking up on a person and than powering up had never crossed his mind, there really had been no reason for it to, and yet it was a possibility really. "Yes, teleporting I know...don't like that." It gave them an advantage in a fight, it made it harder to hit them and easier to be hit by them. he could remember fights like that in animes he'd watched so he knew just how bad that could get, thankfully floating and flying weren't things the Negaverse could also do. This really was like something out of an anime - wasn't it?

When the other removed the little ear buds he let them hang back around his neck so the buds lay against his vest covered chest. "Is normal back home, stores play it, is popular." Stores played kpop all the time, and loudly, it was just one more big difference between here and there. Stores didn't play loud music that you could hear when walking by on the street. That was an odd thing, the lack of noise, but it wasn't such a bad thing either.

"Patrol together?" He asked then, rather suddenly perhaps, his dark eyes fixed on the other.

Hav huffed a small laugh, one full of sarcasm and snark. It wasn’t directed at Venice, rather his understated comment. “That's putting it mildly. Little buggers popping in and out like whack-a-moles. If only it was as easy to deal with them.” It hadn’t taken more than a few fights for the squire to realize just how much he hated that little twist of chaos magic. Mentally muttering to himself, Hav focused on the conversation at hand. Music and patrolling.

“Makes sense and sure. Let's head a little farther in city. See what kind of trouble we can kick up.” With a smile full of mischief and more than a little hint of trouble Havasu settled his hat back on his head and started towards the edge of the roof. “So you only have that stuff on the ipod or you branching out yet? Country, pop, rock? Oh, hey you ever heard any of Green Day’s stuff? Bon Jovi?” Spending the night talking music and maybe getting into a scrape or two would make patrolling more like how it use to be, and less like a job. Looking at his fellow knight briefly, Hav laughed, the sound full of joy, right before he took a running leap to the next roof. After landing safely the squire turned around and waved, “Come on. The night won't wait forever.”

"Won't be easy ever. War is like that, but this has magic." And that made this war harder, for all of them, this war...how long would it last? How many more would be hurt or die in it? How many more innocent people? But...how to win it? There was, to his mind, no way to find a balance between the sides and yet...and yet everything in him told him that there had to be a balance. Too much good and it would turn on it's self and attack. Too much bad...and well...they were dealing with that now.

"Haven't listened to more than stores...or radio play." He didn't play any on his fathers radio, he plugged in his ipod, but he heard it from the radios of other cars. "Hear from other cars radios...sometimes...don't know what is what." Terry had mentioned other music to him once, and that he could and perhaps should branch out. he hadn't done so yet...did he even want to? Why...was what he liked wrong? He understood there might be more out there that he'd liked but there may not be also. He was used to traditional, classical, music from his home country and pop music from his country. He wasn't sure what might be close to it here, if anything.

Shaking the thoughts away he slipped his ipod into his pocket once it was turned off, he was obviously not going to be listening to any music tonight.

"Alright - coming." And he took off running across the roof top after the other. Jumping when he had to and landing. "Not too much trouble tonight, just little bit." he didn't want to get too hurt, he'd already dealt with too many things this year, at least in his opinion. He figured that opinion was subject to change, as the war continued on and his time spent involved in it.

and calling this fin heart

Havasu laughed loudly and shrugged. “I will do my best man. I’ll do my best. In the meantime you got to tell me more about your favorite music. I’m almost always up for finding some new stuff to listen to.” Keeping an eye out for any trouble he started to make his way closer towards the heart of the city asking Venice about everything and anything that really passed his mind. Even if they didn’t really do anything more strenuous than roof hopping it at least gave the squire a feel of companionship, something he hadn’t realized he had been missing while working so damn much.
