Although she was a healer and there were those who could get the medicines made, Lani was one of those who like to gather her own things from time to time. This was one of those times that she was going to do just that. Not venturing too far from her home as she had yet to completely feel as ease here like she did in the desert sands. It was similar to her last pride but her senses were still overwhelmed sometimes with the sound of the ocean. The harshness brought about a few headaches sometimes. Were she not blind the lioness would be able to enjoy it.
Coming across a few herbs she sniffed them. Sometimes certain herbs had certain smells, others had a taste, and some even had a texture she could feel in her paws. She was always cautious about such things because a plant could kill a lion or lioness and all they needed was a touch or to be ingested to cause harm.
Sometimes this could be the boring part of being a healer. Medicine gathering.

It had been hard for him to come back to find his home, his family all gone, scattered to the wind. Knowledge had always been his hunger, and collecting stories and information had taken him away from his home and hadnt allowed him to return before it was to late.
He'd stayed in the lands hed known all his life, lurking and trying to find any who might have lingered still, but for a long time there was nothing, and no one..he had to swallow the hard fact that it was time to move on.
Tut had wandered all over the lands, collecting knowledge of other prides, of rogue stories, of ways to find plants and herbs that might aid in healing, but he was by means no healer, he hadnt really put any of the information into practice, but still he collected knowledge and move on...always moving on, never finding a reason to stay and settle into a new home.

Being new to the pride still meant she didn't know everything that was around or her way around. She got by. Even out just barely beyond the lands she was fine. Careful to not stray to far in case anything happened. Desher would be so angry she guess if something happened. The salty air floated to her senses and filled her with joy. It was a scent that was starting to calm her down.
Vibrations felt different. Someone was approaching to her right. "Hello?" She wasn't worried for her safety. She'd used to be very not trusting of others but she since then had changed. Though sometimes she still had that streak no longer being on her own had changed that.

The sound of someones voice, a female voice caught his attention, dragging him out of his thoughts, of course! There was supposed to be a pride around here, ocean based beliefs, he thought as he nodded his head, yes yes he was in the right direction.
"Hello!" He called back out in an easy manner, he was harmless for the most part, but he could stand his own if he needed to. He'd been taught by Firekin on the art of battle, and had kept up with some of the training still today. .

She wished her daughters were here to enjoy this. Even the blind ones could still listen to the ocean that was starting to become melodic for her. She pranced up. Once she would not do such a thing. Sticking far away from others. But Desher had changed her outlook on life and she was strong. Stronger than she gave herself credit for. That strength she passed down to her cubs and she hoped they passed down their lines.
"What are you doing out here?" She didn't look at him but there was enough to see at a glance from the other that he could tell she couldn't see him. No longer in the mood to gather and instead meet and greet. Might as well. "I was searching for herbs but you came along."

Sometimes, he could be totally oblivious to the most basic of things, not once did it connect in his brain that she couldnt see him.
Instead, he simply came closer, she was friendly so he felt no reason to be on guard and alert, instead and gave a smile, to which of course she couldnt see, and he didnt notice.
"I am a scholar, of sorts and have been wandering the land collecting stories and information. What sort of herbs were you looking for?" He asked, already his mind had a million questions to fire off. .

"I'm looking for any herbs. Medicine is what I specialize in." She had been a priestess in the desert before her new home. "I was a priestess of Tuait'tekem so it was a portion of my job." She had thoroughly enjoyed that job and everything that had come with it. Healing, the praying, the general everything. At least there was sand again where she was at.
"Stories. May I hear any of them?" She would like to hear a few stories. Maybe one day she could tell them to little ones, hers or otherwise. "I'm so sorry. My name is Hokulani." Turning her face towards the male and giving him a tilted grin.

When she said what pride she had once been in, a grin instantly hit Tut's muzzle. "Thats the pride of my birth!" He exclaimed with a happy laugh, how he missed his family pride home, and still he collected knowledge even now.
He'd been a young adol when the pride had disappeared, his family had hit the trail before he had returned with his first bit of knowledge, it had been a shock to him to find his home empty. "Its a pleasure to meet you Hokulani, I am Tutankhamon but you can call me Tut." He said with an easy smile, it still hadnt hit him that the lioness before him was blind.
"Have you heard the story of the god of the sea, and the goddess of volcanoes and their love? They had a mighty love, though it seemed to be frowned upon by other gods among them, but still he thrashed his waves upon her rocky base to profess and claim his love, her lava spilled down to touch his waters, giving birth to the islands that grew from the union. .

"That is a lovely story. My daughter would probably love to hear that one." Lani mused. Actually Desher might want to hear that one too. "I might need a few more stories from you to tell my mate." Or future cubs if they ever had another litter. "Tut, you may call me Lani if you wish. Where are you headed?" She asked curiously.
She missed their old home. The new pride they were apart of was nice. It was calm. It had the sand she so ached for in her life. It would eventually become home but it was still warming up to her.
