So yeah, just curious... What weird/unusual/interesting things are you into? Are there any that are an absolute no for you? Would you cater to your kart ears fetishes even if they weren't your thing?
I had decided that I would be an artist at age 3 yrs. old. (Really!) My mother helped me develop this interest, by providing craft and art supplies at home, and showing me the importance of visual perspective in art when I was 8 (She painted landscapes in oils on canvas, and was often known to create pencil sketches at the kitchen table.) Art was a fun and appreciative pastime for myself and my elder sister, Janet.
My sister liked to sketch superheroes -- especially female ones (she had a large collection of comic books) while I frenetically jumped into artbooks on Picasso, and Canada's Group of 7, and painted abstracts in acrylics in my spare time, as a teen.
Later, I attended the University of Windsor, to study art, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual, Honours, and was on the Dean's List for high grades in my final year.
This, of course, was during the years of low-tech, but later, on my own, I learned to embrace digital paint programs on my desktop pc as my primary artist's tool.
MPF~ My Personal Fetish has been, since age 3, a love affair with visual art, and gave myself permission to greedily explore all of its colourful nuances at quite an early age. Translation: I did not censor myself and fell into creating sensual erotic art as a release of creative juices, so to speak, after graduating from uni, and exhibiting my original visuals in galleries. Youthful Freedom.
These days, however, I exist in a world A.C. -- or, After Stroke -- which has slowed me down considerably -- I walk with a cane, must be on my guard to stay physically balanced (and not fall down) and sometimes need time to search for the right word to communicate effectively. I need to devour a fistful of meds (Doctor's orders) to stay alive healthy, and I dearly miss not being able to shake it, on the dance floor, like I was able to do in my younger years. But what does this all have to do with MPF? Well, I might not create much visual art, these days, but I am still impassioned with it. And I believe, with conviction, that this is a fetish that is healthy for the soul.
