It had been an hour or so since Tsukiko had put up her now famous ice barrier. Her room had become decorated with a few small tokens of appreciation since the cave in. Now that her ice wall was a sworn secret everyone on the island naturally knew about it. She figured the children had noticed her nightly disappearances, but she hadn't figured they would put it all together so quickly.

Looking up at the moon past through the waterfall, her secret place since coming to the island. No one could harass her here, and she could find peace without peering eyes. The moon peaked from behind clouds as she reached longingly for her true mother.

"Father-"

"Don't worry my sweet, you won't feel much. Just a few pricks and then it will be all over."

"Please don't do this!" She was struggling against her bonds, trying to summon her witch, summon any of her fleeting powers to save her.

The moonlight disappeared as she found herself in her cold cell. Her fall dress replaced with gray clothes that matched her prison. The smooth stone and rushing waterfall bleed into a dark room with now light. Whispers outside her cage spoke degrading words about her powers.

Approaching footsteps caused the two scenes to bleed together, unable to differentiate between the real and the fake. She tried to reassure herself that she was safe, but the tears refused to leave her eyes.

It was a calm night for the most part, the sea could be smelt as Ace had walked steadily around the island. He had kept himself to the main area, but got bored and not wanting to wake others up, he had moved on towards the cave where he knew the waterfall to be. The wind was nice to feel, but it came in spurts every now and again crossing paths with his body only to disappear as he heard waves crash down the closer he got to his destination.

He saw a figure coming closer and was surprised to see someone other than himself at this hour. He was only awake himself as he for some reason couldn't sleep. Weather it was the bed not being comfortable enough, him sleeping on his arm, or his small canary chirping every now and again in its sleep, he wasn't certain. Still some company at this hour might be nice.

The clouds that blocked the moon every now and again seemed to have passed for now and shined its light in the small holes big enough to look out at the distance for any ships that would be out there. Due to this he was now close enough to see Tsukiko a woman he didn't have much interaction with. Her silver hair seemed to glimmer in the moonlight while her eyes were as bright as day. He gave her a smile and a little wave as he stood in front of her.

"Hello Tsukiko, not really sure if you know who I am, but my name is Ace. How are you doing on this fine evening?" He asks taking a seat next to her dusting his blue jeans and black t-shirt off only to stretch to himself. "I am sorry if I am bothering you, I can't currently sleep and was wondering if we could keep each other company for a while?"

Jumping slightly as the figure next to her spoke. She was completely pulled from her cage, and now in the cavern behind the waterfall. Placing her hand over her heart as she tried to calm down. 'It's just Ace.' She told herself as she slowly looked around for any signs of her dreams she had trapped herself in.

"I know who you are, we've met a few times over the years. You don't currently know me as well as you might have." She knew a little about the time traveler, but little did she keep up with him. Tsukiko had never really interacted with him, but he seemed pleasant enough. He reminded her a little of Miya in the sense of his meddling. Then again all time travelers seemed to be like that

"You're not bother me, I just come here after I put up the ice wall. Help me get my energy back after such a large feat." She bathed in the moonlight to regain some strength, finding it easier than simply sleeping. Never knowing what new nightmare would haunt her these days. Even with Palian return he did a horrible job of making her dreams a pleasant place.

"I could use some company these days." She wasn't concerned with his love triangle, and hers wasn't any better. Tsukiko knew the rumor mill on the island to well. So she patted the spot next to herself. "Make yourself at home."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 18, 2016 7:54 pm

Not really remembering the meetings he realizes it must have been the other him so he sighs it off and scoots closer to where she patted. He was glad she was so welcoming to him as she seemed to have a more sad demeanor about her. She radiated in the moonlight, but at the same time how she spoke kind of reminded him of himself somedays. He may be wrong, but if he wasn't he would like to help her in some way. "If you'd like, maybe we can hang out then if you are lonely and need some company. It is always too quiet at night for me and I don't always get the best sleep so maybe we can spend it together." He says playing with some of the loose sand near his right hand.

He looked at the ice wall and his smile was as big as ever. "I love looking at this thing, it is so big, and cool and keeps the place safe. I am really glad you are here Tsukiko, if it weren't for you this wouldn't have been possible. Sure there are others who could work together to do this like I have heard you do on your days off, but you originated the idea and you do all this by yourself." He says looking back at her when he finished his sentence. The clouds halfway cutting the moon so that his upper half of his body could be seen, but his lower half was cut off.

He thought about the night and how they were the only two up as the wind rushed by for a few seconds. "So tell me about yourself. If you would like I can go first. I know time powers may seem cool and all, but I can't use them to help everyone like you can as much as I would like to." He says with a bit saddened voice.

"I'm glad someone thinks I'm helping." She replied as she turned her attention to the wall. It hadn't even been her idea or maybe it had, but the other water and ice hexes didn't seem capable of the feat. She had much longer than anyone else to learn her powers.

"When I was younger I use to make different ice sculptures in my room. On nights when I'm really feeling powerful I add designs into the ice. It's so easy to manipulate the water into telling a story." With a wave of her hand the ice shifted slightly and cracks appeared taking on the patterns of roses and flowers.

"It makes the ice weaker, but I have plenty of time to to fix it if we were to be attacked." It was like clear stained glass. She could only find beauty in the simple things these days. Finding the stone cave to be bland beyond recognition.

"I don't mind the quiet as much. Though it does get lonely at times..." She trailed off as she look backed towards him, putting on a sad smile. "I guess you could tell me about yourself first. I don't know if you want to hear my sob story just yet. Though I figured Kat has mentioned me once or twice. She was kinda like my manager so to speak." That had only been a few months ago, but it felt like a life time ago.

"You two have been friends for a long time right? I think she'd mentioned a few things about you, but I'm not really sure. My head is all kinda mixed together these days. That's pretty much the story of your life though isn't it?"

"Mmmm close enough, I mean I met her shortly after I had arrived on the island and I don't consider my life prior to that anything special." He says thinking about how his life has been up until now. It wasn't as glamorous as he thought it would be with the powers that he had, but he had no real complaints other than the looming responsibility it seemed he had to help take care of all of the children that had decided to follow the student counsel all the while not trying to start a war with the D.C and Kry's group.

He was admiring her work of art as he leans back a little to rest slightly on his elbows. The floral pattern was pretty as it stretched out in the ice and he had no fear of attack especially now so he watched as the shadows played on the design in front of him and on Tsukiko's body as he turned to face her again.

Trying not to stare he starts to speak about himself though not really able to pull much information other than the basics for some reason. "Well, I am nineteen, love video games, sleeping when I can during the day as I have trouble at night now, and making people around me happy." He says with a moment of pause only interrupted by the sound of the waves and the wind. "Sorry, I am really bad at this self introduction thing it seems, maybe it would be better to ask me things you want to know." He says with a chuckle.

"How about you?" He asks her happily, glad to have made a new friend and someone he may be able to open up to about his worries that he has been hiding. He trusted and loved his other friends, but he felt if he opened up, they wouldn't understand, or would maybe treat him differently. He knew it was an irrational fear as they would never do that, but it was still something he hated to think about.

"I haven't played video games in years." She hadn't the time between her studies, taking care of the children, and now her duties of being a protecter to the island. Not to mention all her problems she didn't care to admit. She got comfortable as she listened to him ramble, doubting she'd be much better at an introduction.

"I guess you could say I'm a bit of a loner these days. Ever since we came here everyone has avoided me. Not that I was a social butterfly before, but I thought things were really turning around back on campus. Everyone was getting along...not it's back to the arguments." Simply she thought all the different sides were stupid. They were all wrong in her mind, as children were never meant and never should rule themselves. After all it wouldn't be long before they would have a need for more important thing. After all they were so very lacking in so many departments.

"Let's see...I'm eighteen now, so my powers have come into full effect..." She looked at her ice wall waving her hand again letting the pattern shift to match the constellations in the sky. "When I properly met you for the first time you commented on how common my powers were. I wonder how the old you would have reacted to my magic." A witch that was affected by the hexes genetics, she certainly was one of a kind in that sense. The very idea made her tremble slightly. It gave her a certain value to an already valuable species.

"I like reading, but I find our library here to be very lacking. I don't need much sleep, I'm can refuel by the water or the moonlight. It's not the best way to live, but I get by." Her body didn't need sleep, but that didn't' mean her mental wellbeing didn't need it.

"I guess I don't know much about your powers. Since you are older we've never interacted before...not that I guess that matters now." It was all confusing and she probably would need a flow chart to understand it all. "Time powers...I know they don't work like I think they do, but what I'd give to go to the past and change things. Then again I guess that what makes me human." Hexes, a witch, at the end of the day she was still a human whether she liked it or now.

"I grew up...well I was born in a very tiny town in the northern United States. It snowed more days than not even during the summer. Some people believed the town was cursed...that I had cursed it. My father left and my mother died when I was incredibly young. My brother raised me for most of my childhood until he to passed away. I was sent to the school after someone found me lost in the woods. Then I met Kry and we helped raise the little ones. I became a mother to so of the children before I ever turned thirteen. There wasn't enough of the older kids, and so many of them needed someone/anyone to take care of them."

LIstening to her he took off his shoes and socks, placing them aside. It might have seemed odd, but he didn't mind. He set the items aside and thought on the different subjects she went over as she did so. More on the whole clash of powers on the island, his own abilities, and how sad the children on this island were in regards to their pasts. He thought he had an ok past and as far as he knew nothing too terrible had ever happened to him, but it made him sad to hear Tsukiko's side of things.

He didn't really know where to begin when she stopped speaking, so he worked his way back through her dialogue, commenting on things she brought up starting with her past on the island. "I think that is a reason I was able to achieve VP of the school so easily. Coming in older than others around me gave me an advantage with the older kids and more pull to get where I did. I didn't like how Kry handled things personally, but I can't completely fault him... He was just doing things his own way to try and help out even if I didn't see it as the right way." Ace says a bit solemn, having wanted to have made friends with the man, but never had a chance.

He watched the ice change as she did so originally even when she finished speaking up until he started, but he kept turning back to face her. It was a respect thing more so than others, but she was able to keep his attention as he looked into her eyes. "I can't say I had a bad upbringing so I am not quite sure on how you must feel, but I also know it can't be easy. Especially now that you say you are a loner as the others have left you alone. I don't think I am the type of person to do that to someone else on purpose so don't think you can get rid of me that easily." He says sticking his tongue out at her for a second as he gives her a look of confidence right after.

"Though I have to say time powers are their own hassle. It's not like I can change whatever I want when I want, so it isn't all that glamorous. I may think water powers are common, but I never said they were boring as you are proving in front of me tonight. Any guy would be lucky to see this kind of display from you." He says rubbing his left arm to give it some warmth.

The ice wall now letting a bit more light in due to the design set up to match the stars let an aurora effect in a couple different spots around the two where the holes allow it. "It's pretty. isn't it?" He asks her pointing at the different lights around the two.

"It's not so bad, you should see what happens when I add color." Another wave of her hand and the ice erupted into different colors. Each imaged beautifully decorated. "They said the masters of old had beautiful visions beyond anything ever imagined. At a consequence their minds were truly horrible places." She felt the idea fit her.

"One's upbringing is out of the control of that individual. At such a young age there is little you can do on destiny or fate's path. There are no real doors to lead you somewhere better. So we do what we can to survive until a proper door arrives." The idea had helped her in her younger years. At least she was alive, not one of the children with powers that could never be controlled. One of the children that had been lost in those early years.

"I'm sure you've had your obstacles growing up." Everyone had something they had to overcome. She watched him for a minute before noticing the chill bumps on his arms. "I guess it would get chilly after I put that thing up." She tapped his shirt watching as his sleeves became longer to protect him from the cold. "The cold obviously doesn't affect me, so I guess that's a plus from my 'common' powers." She sat on the cold stone in shorts and a tank top. Her sandals abandoned somewhere in the cavern. Moving her hair over her shoulders so she wouldn't sit on it.

"I don't actively try and get rid of people, I guess no one wants to be around someone as cursed as me. That or they grow out of me before taking their places in one of the other communities. They were so separated here, not that they weren't back at school. "I was too busy for the politics at school. There were too many little ones that needed my attention. To many minor details to attend to while all of you bickered and fought."

"There was a reason to all of it, right? Otherwise Alessa wouldn't have saved you that one time...then again it might not matter with you. You are kinda like me, it's really ******** hard to kill you."
PostPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2016 8:20 pm

As the color came out he was a bit shocked and was enthralled in it for a good few seconds or so before looking at her excitedly. "That is ******** awesome! You have the coolest powers you know that!?" He says aloud and then closes his mouth, blocking it with his hands looking back into the darkness as he can hear his voice echo for a few seconds. He looks back at her with a relieved stature. "Sorry about that, I can get easily excited sometimes."

He bumps his shoulder into hers lightly an starts to speak again. "I don't think this could be considered a curse. No matter what happens in life a curse would mean that someone did it to you out of spite. If that's true then when are you such a fun person to be talking to right now for me, or why are your powers so special and cool to just observe?" He asks not expecting an answer. "I get it, the way I see it is not how you do, but you are special in your own way and I can't see you as a curse, but more so a gift and I am happy to have met you." Scratching his head he doesn't really know what to say. "Sorry if I sound like some big idiot who doesn't know when to shut his mouth. It's just I used to think I wasn't worth much until I realized if I hadn't had my past then I wouldn't be where I am today."

"Well if it's any consolation I think immortality is a bit overrated. I am pretty sure whatever does end up killing me will probably deserve to do so. Who knows maybe Kat will end up killing me for something I did wrong." He says wishing he could take a picture of what was going on around him and that the night could last longer, while knowing it would end eventually.

"Immortality isn't so bad, especially when you are already alone." She pulled her knees in close as she watched the moonlight dance across the ice. She chuckled a bit as he complimented her. He reminded her of the children she usually bribed with her little ice shows. Just like them he was overly excited and amused by her powers. "Gift or curse you just met me what fifteen minutes ago. Wait until you get to know me better before making such proclamations." She teased pushing him slightly.

Tsukiko looked at the moon longingly. He spoke of Kat, and she wondered if anyone would ever speak of her with such endearment. The firey red head would never kill the time traveler, and neither would the lavender knight. "It must be nice to have people that truly know you, and have them admire you so deeply." Palian didn't appreciate her, and she barely knew Kry anymore. She had grown apart from both boys, and deep in her heart she knew she had grown away from Ryo.

"Magic always comes with curses, we are the cursed children after all. Some of us more than others." Her powers had killed her mother and brother, though she wasn't even sure if those memories told the truth. Her father had reached to far in her mind, and now everything from her past was distorted. "I can get rid of anyone I want, all it takes is an icy touch." For a moment the ice wall turned crimson in the moonlight before fading back to clear.

He wasn't paying enough attention to see the change of color except the flash that shown in his peripheral view. He wondered how often she sat alone and couldn't think it being a good thing for her. Then again who knows. There were a lot of solitary children in the group now as friends and places changed so did some of their personalities. He wouldn't comment on idea of curses as his own mentality on it was it was more so misfortune, which could be the same thing in a sense. "If you can get rid of anyone with a touch should I be worried?" He asks looking at their touching shoulders.

"If we are both immortal I am sure I have a lot of time to learn about you so why make some nice proclamations until I am proven wrong? I am pretty sure we will outlast everyone around us and all our friends now will sadly not be able to follow us so eventually I will be all alone myself sooner or later right?" He says still smiling as though it wasn't affecting him like he did in most situations. Keeping a smile so that another wouldn't feel sadness for him.

"I wonder what tomorrow will bring... Sure I could go there I guess, but I don't really want too and I am afraid to go backwards as I don't want to be lost in time. Maybe the present is the best place afterall. It is familiar and something we can confidently say is real and affect with our actions. I don't think worrying about the past will help us too much, sure don't forget it, but don't let it define you." He says then trying to change the subject. "Sorry for talking about depressing stuff, so how about you tell me what you would like to do? I know we are basically stuck on an island, but there has to be something you would like to try. I can pause time for us if that helps." He says happily knowing he can bring others with him into his time world.

"I'm not actively trying to kill you, only passively." She teased slightly. "So tell me about you and Kat. I heard they were literally fighting over you attention. What makes you so special exactly? No offense you seem kinda ordinary to me, or did you pop both their cherries so to speak." So far he see rather tense and unsure. Was she that terrifying?

Her hair glistened under the moonlight and her eyes shimmered, with her pale complexion she probably looked like a snow fairy. Though it was better than a hagrid witch.

"I guess I stopped caring what tomorrow would bring. Instead I just stay in my routine...until something better comes along I suppose." She raised an eyebrow when he offered to stop time for her. "That's some pretty big declarations. You must really like me if you are already offering to stop time for me. Do you do that often for girls? Is that why they all like you so much that they would fight for your attention?" Ryo had told her some of the details, but she hadn't cared that much. It was none of her business to be involved in petty fights. "You were just trying to make them both happy huh? In the end it kinda bit you in the a**. Both found out about the other, and now it's like did either of them really truly matter?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 20, 2016 8:04 pm

"I like you enough to stop time for you, it's the least I can do for you since you've shown me such a beautiful sight." He says smiling to her as he pauses it. The wind was now gone, and everything other than the two of them stopped in place. The light that shown in was half covered by a shadow forming a shadow separating the two of them. Ace in shadow and Tsukiko in moonlight. There was no sound except for what they made and they had the power to do what they wanted now, with the night now extending the memories they would share.

"I think I am pretty ordinary myself, not really knowing what the two of them saw in me. I know Alessa and I were apparently dating in my last life, but other than that I didn't really know her so it wouldn't have been fair to keep it up. I think that may have messed her up a bit and I feel bad about that as I didn't want to cause any harm." He says watching her hair glimmer in the moonlight wondering how it does so. "As for Kat we have always been best friends since we came to the school, I didn't really think of her romantically at first as it just never hit me like that and she didn't seem to show any feeling for me. Sure I love her, but how could I not, we were basically siblings." He says scratching his head.

"That isn't going to end well then...I mean dating someone you consider a sibling, take my personal experience there...it just ends badly. Someone usually cares for the other more and in the end it just falls to pieces." As she spoke she rose a smaller wall before clutching her fist and shattering it. "It never ends well...none of these things ever do." She brought her knees in closer before looking out at the ship.

"This island needs so much, we need so many resources. No one cares though...everyone just has petty squabbles. Even my magic has it's limits. I don't know how we survived the winter, we had to make some of the green thumbed children work as much as they could to produce more. The fishing teams have no idea how to even do their jobs and we don't even have livestock yet let alone someone to take care of all these things. All anyone care about is their stupid relationships. They don't even matter, none of it matters. We could all be dead tomorrow if the right disease hits us. None of us can start to understand our genetic make up. Let alone what it could do to us when we get older. I can't do any more, I just can't!" She was standing and pacing all around their tiny cavern.

"Everyone just want to sit around and be a kids, but we can't. We don't have time for that. I can't do anymore...I'm at my limit. Between the growing and the wall and everything else...I don't want to do this anymore, Ace." She collapsed in the middle the cavern. Her knees sprawled on either side of her. "I wanna go home just like everyone else, but there isn't a home from me...nor anyone else...I have Miyako and Ryo, but we've never been that close and I've lost Kry."

"I'm so sick of being alone."
