{ Backdated to July 2, 2016 } It was a little after 2am when she got out of work. Late nights--or early mornings, whatever--were her usual deal. The busses still were still running, and really? It was all she damn needed at that hour. The lights outside the club were dim, keeping anyone from assuming anything was open within the two-story establishment. Her thumb flickered across the screen, tapping out a few quick texts, amused with the responses she got to some.
Some people never slept in this city.
She'd just crossed the street, heading for the bus stop, when she heard... a shout? A scream? There were other clubs, other bars, in the area. It wasn't uncommon for drunk patrons to cause disturbances in the streets, and she shrugged off the nerves. Wasn't her issue. She could see some of the security guys she worked with milling around a little back up the street by one of the doors to the club. No reason to fuss.
But it came again. Further down the street, and as she glanced up, bright eyes snagged on a crack of light. An alleyway between two buildings lit up, briefly, and she was sure she heard a scream.
Kailey shot off another text and flat boots thudded against the sidewalks as she jogged towards place she was pretty sure was the source. This city was messed up enough. Even her nerves couldn't settle if she didn't just make sure s**t was ok.
There'd been a big expectation to look down the alley and find kids messing with fireworks. The Fourth was just around the corner. Plenty of people set off s**t they shouldn't. The white and yellow clad girl was the first thing she pin-pointed. Average height. In heels and short skirt that made no sense for picking through an alley. Well. No, there were a few circumstances that would explain it, really, but the fact the girl was trying to get away from someone further in the alleyway made any thought on that topic moot.
"Leave her alone, jackass!" Sometimes that's all it took. Yell at an offender, and they spooked. Ran away. But the girl's wide eyes turned towards Kailey and she... was she trying to tell her to go away? The girl kept running towards the entrance of the alleyway, and Kailey had to backpedal to get out of the way in time to not be ran over, stumbled back to the sidewalk, back to the wall of one of the buildings. The hell? She started to move away from the alley herself, trying to keep an eye out for... whatever had the girl so freaked out. She'd seen the cuts on the girl, scrapes and forming bruises. Something caused them.
Disposable Powers/Weapon: Energy orbs are thrown from the senshi's hand, gives a small burst of energy upon contact with the target that shocks them. Not damaging, think a painful static shock at best.

Witherite stumbled with a grunt when the girl shocked him with the little energy burst she had. He was less than pleased with the magic slinger at the moment. He righted himself as she girl turned tail and ran.
"You're going to pay for that you wretched magic slinger. You'll be lucky if I allow you to live."
He prepared to teleport, but he noticed a woman moving about. He grinned, if there was one thing magic slingers couldn't resist it was being a hero. He teleported right in front of her and gave a wicked smile. "Good morning, bait, I need to borrow you. We'll talk shop, if you do a good job, might have a place in the war to save our planet. Right now, however, bait."
He reached out quickly to grab and restrain the girl, calling out, "Magic slinger, olly olly oxen free. I've got a new little friend with me. You may want to come set her free." He grinned wickedly and laughed.
A guy in a purple uniform hadn't been what she'd figured the girl would be running from. Or maybe he was. Creeps came in all shapes and sizes. What he shouted though, magic slinger and lucky if I allow you to live, made her equal parts confused and nearly laughing at the insanity going on, and pissed off. People always whispered rumors around this city. Probably some of her favorite were the conspirators claiming the "terrorists" of the city used alien tech to do the weird stuff people said they could do.
She'd been about ready to start cracking jokes on that, when the dude looked over and saw her. Kailey slowly backed up, moving from the wall to carefully pick her way backwards down the sidewalk. Not wanting to give the guy her back, but like hell wanting to stick around. She paused. Staring at him. Bristling, hackles raising. Bait?
Her mind took a few minutes--roughly after the jackass managed to somehow grab her--before she realized there was something said along the lines of helping to save the planet.
she sneered, trying to slam her elbows into the guy's gut.
She figured the guy was crazy. Apparently, he wasn't the only one. The girl in yellow crept out from another alley across the street, tiny fists clenched and furious. "Let her go, jerk! This doesn't involve civilians!" She moved into the street cautiously, her eyes moving between Kailey and the guy restraining her. Like she was trying to gage something, or figure out a shot.
Kailey half expected to look down the street and see a film crew and a card full of lines she was expected to read off or something.

The girl had the nerve to try to elbow him and he growled his grip on her arm tightening painfully. His weapons summoned to his hand and the sharp points of her forked end found themselves pressed to her throat.
"No, I'm not Captain planet, but thats okay. I don't care for magic much anyway. Now stay still or I will kill you. I've got no qualms at all with dropping your body like your worthless. Now be a good piece of bait or die."
He gave the senshi a wicked grin and positioned the girl in front of him. "You know this is your fault right. If you hadn't of run than this girls life would be on the line, but seeing as you did you will be lucky if I do not kill you both."
He tightened his grip on the girl further warning her not to move, he was completely serious about gutting her poor throat. "Now how's about the three of us play a little game huh .... its call how badly do you want to live?"
