After "As I walk through a starlit field..." In Dh's journal(White Flame's light)
"Tears blur the movement of the stars ... "
Hexxis was laying her head against the desk, tapping the pencil against the desk lightly as she stared over the open journal that had a drawing of Tri on the page smiling like in the picture she took of him at the beach. The knock on the door caused her to sit up and look over, wiping her eyes with her arm, she took a breath and moved over to the door and opened it, staring at Wizard before she stepped aside to let him in.
Wizard looked at Hexxis and nodded slightly as he motioned to one of the servers, the exact server he needed to change. He stepped inside when she moved and headed directly to it, opening it and pulling out a small computer to connect to it directly.
Hexxis stood there, watching him with a blank face. The tea had gone untouched, cold by now, and she had never put on more clothes than the tank top and pants she had on earlier. She wanted to try to talk to Wizard but didn't know what to say as she merely stood and kept staring at what he was doing curiously. The computer showed a few values that he quickly changed then disengaged, moving to head back out. Nodding once to Hexxis head went toward the door and paused to look at the picture for a moment. Tilting his head slightly he looked away and left as Hexxis's phone buzzed.
Text: -Still searching- She nodded in return and watched him leaving, pausing to look at her drawing. She was about to speak when her phone buzzed, she pulled it out and read the message. Searching.
She read the message again.

Her eyes widening as she forced herself to read the message one more time before she suddenly looked up. "Wait!" she called out abruptly, hesitating as she swallowed hard. "Where was he going? What job was he doing?..." she began to ask, her grip on her phone tightened as a sinking feeling filled her gut. She didn't like the way that had been worded. Mara had suggested he was just out on another job, but this... this meant he was missing. Someone to be looking for. Things didn't add up and her thoughts were beginning to race.
Wizard stopped in the hallway and turned to look at her, tilting his head slightly at her questions. -Do not know. He left a month ago and today Mara received word from Norcrest that he is dead and his body is being held as evidence in Ree's case. I am tasked in searching for more information including any possibility of falsehood in the information given by Norcrest-
-There has also been multiple activity in the bounds outside of SIU in the past day before the phone call which point to surveillance on someone within the base-
Her eyes darted down to her phone the moment it buzzed, reading the message quickly, taking in the information. Her eyes wide in disbelief, quickly filling with tears as she covered her mouth, ready to throw up again. No. This was worse. Tri was dead. He was dead and his body in Norcrest. It might be a ruse, but it was all too real to her as she began to tremble. "N-no... no no no..." she muttered as her breathing quicken into immediate hyperventilation as tried to process the first text, not even moving to the second, stuck on the information about Tri. "...catastrophic compromises... breakdown protocol initiating... I am unable to stop the function..." she forced out, starting to cry. Her mind was racing and the static roaring up.
She clenched her teeth, not able to sort out her thoughts as she quickly darted for the desk, scooping up the journal into her purse, slinging it over her shoulder and taking off running past Wizard and down the hall as fast as she could manage, running for the front doors.
Wizard tilted his head slightly and the doors Hexxis was heading for closed and snapped shut. Security level 5 activated A voice on the intercom said as Wizard frowned, knowing he did something wrong. At least he knew Hexxis should not be outside. Reaching out to the SIU computer he pulled up Hexxis file and read up on what was placed there about breakdown protocol.
"...." he had made a grave error. Sending out a signal to Hexxis he tried to initiate a connection. There was too much information to process as she heard the voice on the intercom and the blast door shut just before her. Sliding to a stop before it, she reeled back and punched at it twice. The steel denting in slightly and the sound of splintering concrete behind it before she knew she wouldn't be able to break it. She turned on her heel and began to run in a random direction, looking for any windows, no matter how high or low they were, anything to find a way out of the building as quickly as possible.
Wizard stepped out into the hallway but didn't try to stop her, there were no windows because they were partially underground. Silently he locked the doors on the server room and computer room he had been working in earlier as he sent a warning to Mara and a text to DH.
Hexxis was beginning to panic further as the lack of windows was starting to make her feel trapped, understanding her coordinates were likely underground, she was couldn't control her breathing. She had to get out, and the options were spreading thin, beginning to shift into more dangerous ways to escape. She summoned her sword, her mind a jumbled mess of half-memories and protocols and codes and voices. It was almost too much to bear as she backed up from passerbyers with glimmers of fear in her eyes. Where was she? Why was she there? Where was the authorized owner? He was dead. He was in need. Help. Deceased. Nothing is right. Nothing makes sense. She put her right hand to her head and shook it, trying to regain her senses but couldn't, quickly turning again to run down more hallways, still looking for a way out, sword brandish as she just wanted to get out.
Leukos heard the alarm go off, the security alarm causing him to snap his attention up as he instructed Melody to stay with Vale as he bolted out of the room and went to find Mara. He hoped it wasn't Kylar again back to take more revenge on her. He quickly texted Mara 'Are you okay? Where is the danger?' and kept running to find where the ruckus was coming from.
Wizard followed her silently until he locked her within one corridor and waited silently for the people he texted to appear.
Mara turned her head to look toward the door blankly,not even caring that the alarm was blazing, it was the lowest alert but still an alert. She didn't want to get uo ad because of Hexxis she couldn't even go get drunk. Stupid Criel... likely trying to send someone inside.
Pushing herself up she wiped her eyes and headed out of the door grabbing her phone and looking down at Wizard mess- "s**t...s**t s**t sht. Darn it Wizard! " she took off running, pausing only to pick up a tranq and fun from her office and rush toward the lower levels as many of the non-humans and humans were heading up at a quick pace but there was a restrained feeling of barely controlled feared. Damn it...this is not how she wanted to start her..what has it been now? a month?
Hexxis turned to look at Wizard who was now blocking her way, narrowing her eyes with fear, anger, and determination. She lowered her stance, bring up her sword in challenge as she stared him down, before running at him yelling, ready to strike but lowering even further as she reached him and moving her blade to the side to attempt to jump over him instead. Leukos saw other people flocking away from areas, following against the crowd to the source as he tried to find what was happening. Wizard looked at her silently only a faint look of confusion of his face as he moved out of the way. A blurr of blue as he stopped at the other end of the hallway and turned to watch her.
Mara tucked the tranq gun under her chin and text wizard
-Where the he** are you?!! - -Corridor (#), currently sealed at both ends to prevent Hexxis from attempting to return to Haven-
"What? Sh* Sh* Sh** " she muttered pushing against the floor until she had enough clear space to run to the are and stare at the huge locked doors.
Hexxis reached back and punched at one of the doors, against making a dent but otherwise knowing it would take too long to break. She whipped around to see the other door still down, now trapped in an even smaller space with just Wizard. She was panicking as she tilted her sword and ran at him, this time slicing at him. He had to be her way out. She yelled out in anger, freaking out more the longer she was there, her breathing sporadic and rapid. Leukos slid through people carefully, trying to keep his tail from whipping back and forth in trepidation for the situation and accidentally hurting someone. Reaching the stairwell, he leapt over the side of the railing down the center down two levels and grabbed onto the railing on that floor to stop himself. Pulling himself up and over, as he spotted Mara. "Mara!" he took off running to follow where she was going.
Wizard avoided the attack and rushed to the other end of the corridor again and turned to look at her again. His eyes were focused on her movements making predictions on her most likely attacks(Analyzing: Pattern Analyzes: 3 seconds ahead)(speed).
-Why are you attacking?- Mara didn't turn to look at whoever called her name, instead she grabbed the next set of stairs and headed down that until she reached the first set of doors and looked back to see Leukos. "Leukos. Good! Come here" she said putting her pass over the scanner, her pass at least was good for up to level 1 emergency.
Hexxis watched him rush to the other side, her phone was making noise, but she wasn't answering. She tried to find the words, but all she wanted was to leave. "Speed power detected. Nullifying for fifteen minutes." she rambled off then ran at him, swing her sword at him to continue trying to slash him.
Leukos nodded to Mara, catching up to her as they ran. "What's going on?"
Wizard speed past her again to the other end of the hallway as if she had done nothing. (Resistance: Seal ))
-Why are you attacking?-
"-Someone- told ....Someone something they shouldn't have" she laughed but it wasn't a happy sound as she rushed through and continued to lead past checkpoint over checkpoint. Maybe she had been a little to paranoid when she asked for this design. Darn it.
"Hexxis...she is activating break down" she said finally as they hit the last one and she took it at a run toward the closed corridor and stared at it. "Well.... darn it. "
Hexxis still wouldn't answer as she kicked backward and slid a bit. Her hands were shaking and this was making no progress. Concrete... She then turned to a kneel and began to punch the floor as hard as possible as the concrete cracked quickly. Leukos looked a little confused about Mara's explanation until he mentioned Hexxis and he narrowed his eyes and sighed, his expression becoming even more serious than before. "...dammit.." Wizard made no move to stop her, just quickly updated Mara and DH and closed all the door in the lowest level since no defenses for the floors had been made other than to block those that could phase.
-We are not trying to harm you- Mara glared at the door as she heard concrete breaking. "Darn it Hexxis. " he whispered as she shifted to her armor form then looked at Leukos and sighed. "She's probably trying to head back to haven. How good a shot are you? ' Hexxis had dropped her sword next to her, punching at the ground frantically with both fists, yelling aggressively but also in full blown panic. She made no effort to check her phone for Wizard's messages, acting on pure instinct now.
Leukos cursed under his breath, "..haven.." he muttered before glance to Mara about her question then narrowed his eyes. "Excellent,..."
Mara raised a brow "Well then" she said throwing the tranq gun at him as she summoned her shadow guns at a lower level, enough to hurt but not enough to break the skin. "Wizard, drop the door!!" she shouted as she heard a ping from her cell phone but didn't bother to look. "I don't care of it's a bad idea, freaking drop the door!" realizing now how bad it was letting someone not actually part of SIU control it's entire system. Wizard looked past Hexxis and frowned faintly but opened the door at Mara second yell, the one that was closest to Hexxis.
Hexxis turned quickly as soon as she doors came down, ready to bolt for it, but saw armor and guns.
Leukos caught the guns and nodded, knowing what to do. He had waited for the door to drop and once it did, he held the gun steady and aimed the instant he saw Hexxis. His eyes narrowed and began to shift to a more yellowish color as he pulled the trigger as he aimed a bit to the left. Hexxis heard the sound of the gun, analyzing the bullet and trajectory and immediately dodged backwards and to the left by jumping up and away. He intention to take off running the moment her feet hit solid ground but he heard the second bullet the followed too fast for her to react as it hit her in shoulder, the sting of pain as she landed, stumbled, and fell backward. She hit the floor sounding much heavier than she looked with a very loud thud, completely unconscious. Leukos frowned and sighed, looking over to Mara, "Why is Hexxis here and breaking down?" he asked seriously. He began to wonder how long she had been down there.
Mara cursed softly the moment Leukos fired, to early in her view as she rushed forward ready to pepper Hexxis with low harm shadow bullets. She barely heard when Leukos sent the second out closed after the first until she spotted it on Hexxis body and slowed to a halt, watching until she succumbed. "Well then..." she said quietly staring at Hexxis. "Good shot" she frowned slightly under her helm and looked up at Wizard then turned to look at Leukos,
"Right you don't know. Criel chased her here...she was fine when I left ..." she said turning to give Wizard a long glare as she dropped her helm. "-Someone- activated one of her commands..." Wizard looked to Hexxis quietly with a faint frown before looking up at Mara and nodded. Mara stared at him and sighed."Okay..both of you help me drag her. Up to the top level. I can't afford her to start smashing things again...like the -floor-" Leukos have a nod as she Mara spoke, then frowned as she explained Hexxis' situation. He sighed as he moved to Hexxis, curious why they needed to dr-... Had she always been this heavy?! Eventually he helped Wizard get her to the top floor.
Mara moved to her phone as it started ringing non-stop. Rubbing red eyes as she dropped the helm she frowned and answered it as she motioned to the others where she wanted Hexxis placed. She would also love to put a collar on her after what happened...wait...wait...yep she was going to. No need of a repeat last time one of her commands was accidentally activated. Muttering to someone on the other line she looked to wizard. "Drop the alert. I'll be back" she went back to the call and left the room, only to come back with a collar. The room itself was what a storage area since she wasn't sure what rooms were taken currently or not. " Collar...if someone objects please come forward or forever ho- ha well I see why we weren't invited to her wedding " she snorted and moved to collar her.
Wizard tilted his head in faint confusion.
-A collar is not a symbol of marriage - She would no problems collaring her, being completely out cold for at least a few hours. Leukos sighed, frowning and already trying to figure out how he might explain this to melody without her freaking out.
After roughly two hours, Hexxis began to stir, a noise of pain as she opened her eyes to look at Wizard. She appeared tired but otherwise blank, expressionless. "Previous compromises are not detected and there are no current errors identified. Experiment 001 - Codename Hexxis is functioning properly and within intended protocols." she rattled off robotically then moved to sit up. She looked up to Wizard, completely void of emotion. "...implementing temporary directive to retrieve original authorized owner per protocols and possibility of danger of death." she spoke flatly then tried to get up, attempting to leave.
Wizard listened to her silently before moving to speed between her and the door. "N-negative, Experiment 001 unit is on stand-by until death or location confirmation has been established for authorized owner. Current unit is prolonging confirmation and endangering authorized owner by attempting to escape and alert enemy forces of possible rescue attempt. " he spoke barely above a whisper as his voice creaked with disuse. "Directive does not deny unit of interfacing with concurrent rescue or retrieval efforts. Compliance raises rescue chance by 5% and retrieval by 2%. Unit on current rouge course lowers rescue attempt to 0.5% success and lowers retrieval to 1.7%. " he continued blankly. "Unit interface, Yes? No? "
She paused, listening quietly, taking in the information, staring at him with full attention. "Margin of compliance to increased values is acceptable. Modifying temporary directive for compliance under new variables for retrieval of authorized owner." she spoke back, pausing then nodded. "Yes. Unit interface accepted. Please advise further steps."
Wizard stared back at her looking as he normally did but without any flickers of emotions. "Unit is on stand-by until information retrieval from Norcrest's database is complete. Current heads of operation are Mara Gold and DH" there was a second pause." Information of Experiment 001 non-powered skills missing. High security level information retrieval under purview? " "Request for estimated timeframe needed for information retrieval. Current heads Mara Gold and DH given temporary limited access to my basic protocols subject to review on case by case basis. Priority remains set to original authorized owner Trisuri Luz." she responded, still standing in front of Wizard, holding a blank stare with him as if processing the information being passed between them. She paused at the question, thinking, considering. "General information on non-powered skills access granted. Skill set includes combat training in several forms including martial arts, mixed, military, and MMA. I am capable of learning any skill at an accelerated rate of five times the average and process information far beyond normal biological responses. Facial recognition storage with 99.998% accuracy. My features include dense bones tested to 40ksi durability and high pain tolerance up to 3 dols. I am unable to be healed without causing a pain response of 2 dols: past my threshold of tolerance which can be withstood for one hour before compacity shutdown. While high security level information retrieval is not part if my currently maintained skillset, I am capable of adding this skill with visual example through non-powered means." she rambled off blandly, before tilting her head slightly. "Is this adequate information per request made?"
"Known time of departure was on (date:day or two after the call) leaving behind all personal belongings in care of DH and myself. No known jobs or associates were mentioned by your authorized owner other than for a request to keep belongings safe. Estimated time for data retrieval without alerting is approximate 1 hour to 48 hours. " he said quietly. "Heads will be informed of current limited access" he confirmed before listening to her skill set. "Adequate, unit is to be part of infiltration team or backup depending on information retrieved. " he continued before tilting his head slightly. "I am unable to currently show visual process of what I am doing without adding more lag time to attempted retrieval. Current functions tie into one of my active powers so not all functions will be visible on screen and with be worked out as a background application. " he looked very faintly concern.
She listened intently to his words, the circumstances surrounding Tri's disappearance and possible relocation. She didn't like the idea of only being a back up to the intended mission but weighing the options, had very little choice but to comply with the parameters given by Wizard. "Another option is to learn the skill by reading or video demonstration. Beyond that, I feel I would not be adequate help and would only hinder processes necessary to aid in relocation of authorized owner." Wizard nodded slightly "I will inform Mara and Leukos that you are currently awake and wish to peruse that form of information. " there was another pause. "Current form of communication is against the directive given to me by my own authorized owner. Moving back to text communications " She nodded then taking a step back from him as she kept gaze with him. "Understood." Wizard nodded looking up as Mara knocked on the door and came in, partially already in armor form as she turned to look at Hexxis with narrowed eyes. "...well you're till here. That's a first"
Hexxis stared back completely emotionless, not even reacting to her commentary about still being there. "I have modified temporary directives of pursuing authorized owner for retrieval for compliance under new variables of increasing possible extraction chances by 5% and retrieval by 2%. 0.3% margin decrease detected in retrieval under previous directive and have accepted unit interface." she spoke robotically as she just stood there. Mara looked surprised as she stared at Hexxis then looked at Wizard sharply before looking back at her.
Wizard didn't react and just kept watching them, tilting his head slightly as DH muttered something to his mind.
"...I ...." she clenched her teeth shut and let out a breath. Retrieval... of his body, she wasn't going to ask that but really, yes she would have. She glanced back toward Wizard and sighed "So that's what you were talking about" she muttered returning her gaze to Hexxis as if she wanted to talk to both at them at the same time about different things.
So...... yep well... that was a thing now. Reject it and she goes running off beating down doors trying to figure out where he is or accept her and figure out how not to get Norcrest to assume she had any hand in it. "Fine....just ....fine" she said tiredly, pulling at the end of her hair with one hand, still missing a good chunk of that but getting the jest of it at least. She didn't exactly have that many choices now did she. "Since you're not f**** breaking down. Yes Norcrest called me to tell me he was dead... I don't trust the buggers so I hired DH and Wizard to confirm" Hexxis kept her eyes trained on Mara before tensing at the mention of Norcrest's declaration of his death. She exhaled slowly, a possible flicker of emotion but it was gone too quickly to even be sure. "User Mara Gold has been given temorary limited access to my basic protocols subject to review on case by case basis. I am also capable of assisting in authorized owner's retrieval, and recommend implementing my skills toward your processes to locate and extract Trisuri Luz." "Because if I don't you're going to go running around doing it anyways right. " she sighed and blinked as Wizard left the room. Frowning she watched him then turned back to Hexxis. "I will allow you to join the group but I want something from you Hexxis"
Hexxis tilted her head slightly at the assumption before her eyes flickered over to watch Wizard leave. Returning her gaze to Mara, she blinked, curious about the request that Mara appeared to be making. "If it is within my particular skillset or a skill that I am able to learn within a given timeframe, I am able to provide that to you." she responded, not understanding what she was asking.
Mara shook her head "I want you, what ever the outcome of what he finds and what we decide to do, to stay with me until we settle this with Haven. " Hexxis thought on Mara's statement, finding it difficult to agree fully without compromising some directives she had in place. "I will stay with you until it is settled with Haven or you advise me otherwise. Is this acceptable?"
Mara stared at her searching for a lie or any hint of what she was thinking and saw nothing as she might have had with Tri. "It's acceptable" she agreed with feeling a flicker of nervousness at it. "That makes some things slightly easier now...slightly. You'll help DH and Wizard once they can get the information. I am not actually going to be on any of it. The less I know the better. Just know if they recognize you, the cases has a high chance of just defaulting to have and give me a mess to deal with " she warned with her eyes narrowed. Hoping she understood but knowing ultimately she will do everything to rescue Tri. Something she couldn't even try to do... or even have his body back. Hexxis nodded. "Understood."
Mara nodded and pulled back eyeing her. "We're moving you down to the second level, unless you think you're going to wreak that too. " she asked giving her a warning look. "I won't be surprised if Criel tries to send someone in here which is the only reason really " Hexxis merely stared at her quietly. She then nodded in understanding but still remained silent. "...lets go then" Unnerved by her silence and just leads the way out of the room they were in, there was still the collar but she could take if off whent hey reached other place...get that ready ..inform people... wait... fun times.

A 12 hours after Rescue (DH's journal)
Programmed Life
Hexxis woke up twelve hours later, a slight grimace of pain before she attempted to sit up, immediately pulling off the ekg wires and moving to extract any IVs attatched to her. She was drowsily focused on getting up, getting out of the bed despite her condition.
Wizard blinked and got up, moving to try and stop her. Putting one hand to block her from pulling out an IV and looked at her tilting his head a flicker of concern. Hexxis looked up to him with a flicker of pain before trying to move his hand away to keep trying to remove the IV.
Wizard frowned faintly trying to put his hand back and shake his head but he really did not have the strength needed to push again her strength.
She paused, staring at him for a few moments before looking away in thought. Hexxis removed the blankets from her, still trying to get out of the bed even if he seemed reluctant to let her remove the IV. "...I apologize..." she muttered, even if she didn't say why she was, only that she regretted being more compliant. "....I have to go..." was all she could manage, her chest still hurting pretty badly but it didn't matter to her. Wizard pulled his hand away then shook his head. Silently he pointed to her heart. She looked down at his hand and the frowned. "I know...." she answered quietly. Raising her head to look him in the eyes. "...I cannot stay if they are out there. What good is protecting my life.. when I will only slowly die in here... unhappy... alone." she explained softly. "...don't you understand that?"
Wizard tilted his head slightly then very slowly shook his head to her question. Putting his hand on her shoulder he pushes very slightly back then held out a finger to wait as he moved to one of the sheets that described Hexxis symptoms and turned it over grabbing the pen he wrote out "fixing?" turned back and showed it to Hexxis as he pointed to her heart again.
Hexxis frowned as he shook his head, about to continue to get up before he began to push her back, a flicker of confusion on her face. She was about to protest when he held out a finger and she waited for what he was to do. Watching him write on the paper, she narrowed her eyes perplexed by what he meant. His pointing have her some kind of indication of the subject but not what he was trying to say. She opened her mouth to say something, but paused and then looked around with a sense of urgency. "...purse.." Wizard motioned to it in a small bucket on the nightstand.
Hexxis reached for it. Pulling it into her lap where she sat, digging out her phone. Taking a deep breath, she looked to Wizard again. "...they can't fix me... I.. am a bio-organism programmed to simulate an artificial intelligence." she began to explain. "...what is broken about me was done by the people who seek me, that Mara wishes to protect me from... but the cost of that protection is isolation from those I want to be with and care very much about.. There are no alternatives to being with them again. Mara has made very clear I will never be safe if I leave, but I cannot be happy if I stay." she paused, a deep frown setting in. "....so what else can I do.." she muttered, looking down at her legs with a defeated expression.
Wizard lowered his hand looking confused before pointing back at the word "fix?" then back at her heart. There was a flicker of a frown as he lean down and wrote "stay?". Hexxis looked distressed as she watched him motion again. Even the next word only hurt more. "I can't.. they cannot fix me..." she replied simply. Tears were beginning to form as she kept her eyes on him. "...i'm sorry..."
Wizard shifted slightly from foot to foot then looked around the room before returning to her and motioning to her pocket where her phone was.
On the screen there was a page about what she had including restrictions in high intensive sports and medication as well a heart transfers.
She looked to her phone as he pointed to it, seeing the browser pulled up, she scrolled the page, quickly reading it then frowned more. "I understand that I have a heart condition... that isnt the point." she sighed. She wanted to sympathise with wizard, but he wasn't seeing eye-to-eye with her. She began to move again, taking the IV out and moved to try to stand.
Wizard looked faintly distressed as her phone vibrated. -Attempting Fix. Requires 9 months multiple blood transfers and reprograming. - She paused looking at her phone. "...six months..." she muttered to herself. "...months to figure out if I works... And if it doesn't... I will have wasted all that time.." she mumbled. She sighed, "Wizard, my components for full function will gradually cease to work if I stay here. Processes will slow down, and I will feel nothing but pain." she tried her best to explain. "If I leave, I have a chance to give my functions a more efficient reason to continue in a manner that promotes a fulfilled and meaningful feeling."
She shook her head, "...I am still leaving.." she announced quietly before trying to stand and almost fell down immediately as she grabbed the edge of the bed to stabilize herself. -Negative, with treatment prognosis is estimated 10 years survival after diagnosis without ...attempting fix or transplant- he moved forward to help her a flicker of concern on his face, already sending a message to Mara. He did not understand why Hexxis did not wish to attempt the more logical route which extends life and extends ability to move through that life. The current denial and disinterest of information beleaguered her earlier interest of acquiring all information in attempts to rescue her ow- father. It...confused him. She glanced to her phone, reading, grimacing, coughing. "...there is still a chance for failure. And I cannot be trapped within white walls. I wish you could understand this..." she sighed, still moving, not giving up on the idea of leaving as she pushed away from the bed and moved toward the door now. Wizard stared after her a hint of concern now on his face as he watched her leave but made no movement to stop her. Mara was outside already or at least walking the last few feet toward her room when she watched her leave. Her eyes narrowing angrily as she held a tranq gun but it wasn't aimed at her yet. "Really? leaving -again-?!"
Hexxis gave a deep look of pain as Mara stood outside the room. Hesitating, she was trying to move past her, ready to keep going rehardless
Mara just aimed and shot.
Hexxis narrowed her eyes as Mara aimed. The moment that she shot the tranq, Hexxis summoned her sword to slash upward through the dart. She took that chance to try to teleport as far as she could but only ended up in the inner grounds outside. Good enough. She stumbled, her body weak and ready to give out as she tried to levitate but her body wasn't coorperating well.
"Teleport...... just ....Really. I am starting to hate that girl" Mara growled sensing the shadows and teleporting to where they were concentrating the most and now thinning. She said nothing as she appeared behind her and tried again. Hexxis whipped around in time to see Mara aiming to try to shoot again. Raising her hand up, she was grasping at her chest with the other, coughing. The moment that Mara pulled the trigger, the dart lodged and jammed inside the gun. Hexxis was backing away, surveying her options as she kept an eye on the outer wall in her peripheral.
Mara threw the gun to the side and shifted to armor form before attempting to tackle her. Her eyes widened as Mara rushed her in armor form and tackled her to the ground, giving a noise of pain as she hit the floor. Straining, she tried to struggle against Mara. "...sh-shadow armor power... identified.... n-nullifying..." she muttered before dispelling her armor. Even without it, Hexxis was still knocked down as she continued to struggle in her grasp. "Let me go!" she finally exclaimed with tears in her eyes.
Two large black claws formed up behind Mara and slammed down to hold Hexxis down at well. " You listen up and you listen up well. I am -freaking- tired of you. You have cost me so much..at some point the I am a victum of haven falls short that that happened quite a bit ago. Right now you're just being a selfish ungrateful piece of...of. you " she hissed quietly. Hexxis coughed a bit more violently as the claws slammed down to hold her as well. Squirming, she was thrashing and kicking her legs. "No! Leave me alone!!" she shrieked in panic, still trying to break free. Hexxis narrowed her eyes in pain as she summoned five shadow swords and held them above Mara but made no move to attack her with them. Mara glares down at her as if daring her "Do it. Do it and break off any happiness you ever had with Tri. " she said getting up, ignoring the swords as she tried to use the claws to at least pull her up to a sitting position.
Hexxis hesitated, her breathing heavy as she was trying to stop the faint wheezing that was beginning. She was pulled into a sitting position and Hexxis took a deep breath, tears breaking through her usually stoic expression. The shadow swords faded and disappeared and she sat there, "...let me go..." she demanded quietly through small sobs.
"Took lessons from Stormy?" she growled and tried to pull her up. "Lets go"
Hexxis pulled back, "I'm... not going back.." she contested, pulling against the claws even in her weakened state. "I'm...going..home.." she forced out, before inhaling quickly. "....shadow claws identified... nullifying..." she muttered, dispelling those too before backing up to the wall as fast as she could. Mara summoned a pair of wings large black feather wings that looks very faimiliar to Tri's but larger and those move and slam into her before Mara teleports them back in.
Hexxis exhaled with a gasp of surprise as she was teleported back inside. "..n-No!!" she exclaimed, scrambling to her feet, stumbling and almost completely falling back down. She shoved Mara back. "Leave me alone! I want to go home!!" she exclaimed with pain in her eyes, her breathing slowly increasing. She turned to try to run away from Mara, anything to get away at this point. Mara sweeps the wings forward again to hit her down again. "Answer me Hexxis! " Hexxis was hit and stumbled, but remained standing surprisingly. She appeared completely out of breath by now as she hesitated before trying to run again. "No!"
Mara frowns and runs after her. She kept running, trying to put any distance better her and Mara, eventually teleporting again but only making it back to the courtyard again, cursing mentally as she ran for the outer wall. Wizard rushed out, moving with Hexxis and taking her hand using his speed not to drag her but to move her with her before attempting to unbalance, just as Mara ran out looking even more pisse., Hexxis blinked in surprise as wizard grabbed her and knocked her down, her body hitting the floor hard, a noise of pain as she coughed hard. She was in a lot of pain as she was trying to get back up but it was no easy task. "...leave...me...alone..." she repeated through deep wheezing, barely staggering to a stand. Very very softly so only she could hear "Dying" he said before Mara came to them and he let go. Mara glare at Hexxis and attempted to teleport them back inside again. She was teleported back inside, the moment she had her bearings she shoved back anyone close to her. Hesitating for much longer this time, thinking on what to do as she was holding back tears, "...i..i want to go home..." she spoke much softer now, staggering and hitting the wall as she leaned again it, wheezing and pain was surging through her chest, other hand grasping her chest as she tried to control her breathing.
Wizard stood outside silently as the mercs around whistled in alarm. "Someone is PIISSSSSED. Hey wasn't that Tri's daughter? Yep The weaponized Merc Zero Hexxis " one laughed. "Don't laugh, she was crying" another one rebucked while Wizard looked down silently and headed inside without being bothered. "who wouldn't cry with Mara as a grandmother?" the same one laughed again. "She was brought back unconscious remember?" "Wasn't that a few hours ago?" "yea...wonder what she is doing up. I hear dit was serious" Mara stared at her truly furious. "You want to go home.... You want to die. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?! SHOULD I GO AND CALL NORCREST AND SAY THAT YOU WANT TO GO RUNNING BACK TO HAVEN WHO WILL ******** FIX YOUR HEART BUT MESS UP YOUR MIND. " she clenched her hands into a fist. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU COME BACK? WHY DID I JUST WASTE MY TIME, WORRY AND THIS PLACES MONEY ON YOU! YOU WHO CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO SAY THANK YOU OR DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN CRY AND WHINE AND SCREAM FOR A STUPID MAN WHO COULDN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO SAVE YOU. " she yelled. "THE PEOPLE WHO TRUELY CARED YOU KEEP LEAVING FOR SOMEONE YOU MEET FOR THREE WEEKS. I KNOW YOUR HEAD IS ******** SKEWED BUT I NEVER KNEW IT WAS THIS BAD. YOU CAN'T EVEN -TALK- DAMN IT HEXXIS WHAT WENT WRONG WITH YOU"
Hexxis listened, still having difficulty breathing as she closed her eyes tightly. "I came back because I wanted to be free, not to slowly die in the same four white walls I spent most of my life in. And worse off not even with anyone I want to be around... I can't even see either of them now because it's unsafe outside!" she narrowed her eyes in anger as Mara jabbed at Zephyr not saving her. "BECAUSE HE RESPECTS MY OPINIONS AND DECISIONS UNLIKE ANYONE ELSE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! If I told him to come get me, he would come, he would bring an army and burn this place to the ground. But he wouldn't because I said I would be fine. That I would be with family. To trust you. " she pushed off the wall, staggering again. "You act like I made choices where my hand wasn't forced. I chose Tri. I want to stay with my father but he didn't want me!! Sent me back to him anyway even after I said I didn't want to go back. He forced me to leave him... and go back to Zephyr. So I did. And then he was unhappy I stayed with Zephyr. And now.... now..... " she paused, clenching her teeth as she held her tongue about the rescue.
"If you all wanted to torment me so bad, then I was better off staying an orphan with Haven... at least I wouldn't have feelings for you all to hurt anymore!!" her heart rate was steadily increasing, the wheezing becoming louder. "I... I just.. miss my father..." she hesitated, tears sliding down her face as her voice became soft, "I miss him so much... I'd rather just be dead..." she spoke, but her heart rate wouldnt stop increasing by now. "...so just let me go home..."
For a moment Mara held her breath getting ready to tell her to go until the last part which ...which... " He let you live your own life. He let you go because that is all you cried about and went behind his back for. You said you wanted him but you pinned for Zephyr. Stop lying because you NEVER gave him a chance...you don't even understand him. If I was there... if he talked to me before, I would have known what he was going to do, but you didn't ... none of you did. " she said moving close to Hexxis. "You miss him... he gave up everything he worked for in these past 12 years to keep you and Ree safe. When that was done when he felt ....useless he tried to come back to me. You know what? I miss him to and I can't even see him...and i'm not going to force him into some other stupid plan because you wanted to walk out the ******** door while having a heart attack ,because you are to selfish to even care" she said trying to slam her hand suddenly again Hexxis's temple to try and knock her out.
"Let me? He forced an opinion on me that he assumed. I had called it off with Zephyr. I was willing to move on so that I could be with Tri. I was honest about my previous contact with Zephyr. It was never meant to continue after I said goodbye. So, you're wrong! I gave him a chance and he pushed me away!! And he wouldn't let me understand him." She was back to yelling again by now, clutching her chest through the pain. "Stop calling me selfish when you don't know anything about me!!" she screamed, wincing as a wave of pain hit her chest, distracting her from Mara's attack, slammed against the temple and immediately fell to the floor unconscious. Mara glared down at her "I hate teenagers" she growled grabbing Hexxis and teleporting them to the infirmary.
