She had been staying near the more wooded parts of the rouge lands mainly to use the trees for shade during the heat of the day. Currently she was curled up on a decent sized rock that had been warmed in the sun but was presently in the shade as the sun had continued it's path across the sky. Letting out a sigh she continued to lay where she was, it was comfortable and felt wonderful on her aching muscles and joints. Letting out a small thrum in her throat she opened her eyes and looked around to make sure everything around her was still in a peaceful order.

He was a bit disheartened, his pride had disbanded but that wasn't what made him so sad, it was the fact that everyone would have to split up and find new homes. While he wasn't exactly too upset about that as he never quite felt he fit in there. There were those, however that did, and for them he felt a pang of fear. He was certain they would find something though, at least he hoped they would.

Letting out a deep sigh the grown lion shook himself, his colorful mane dancing about him as he stood up and stretched. He was attempting to find him a place to call home. A home away from home so to speak. Though his away from home was no longer a home so really now he was looking for a home.

At least he didn't have to worry about telling his parents that he didn't want to live there anymore. Since none of them did. Shaking his head he cleared his mind of those thoughts. Deciding to get himself a drink he set out to search for a nice drink of water. Instead what he found was something much more interesting.

Soft gaze fell upon the cheetah as she relaxed on a rock in the warm sunlight. Cocking his head he took a moment to observe her. She was very pretty, which wasn't something he was afraid to admit to someone. Everyone deserved to be told they were beautiful and typically he saw beauty in everyone. But she was genuinely pretty.

"Hello, enjoying the warmth?" He asked her curiously as he grew closer but stopped a decent distance away. He wasn't sure how friendly she was.

Her slumber was disturbed by a strong yet soft voice. Opening her eyes she looked to see who the owner was and her gaze settled upon the grey and colorful male. She had to blink a moment, his mane was quite stunning. "I am, what of you?" She asked him as she sat up a bit, just in case the encounter turned ugly. While he didn't scream stranger danger you could never be too careful sometimes. Wrapping her tail around her paws she took a moment to study him, internally of course. She never judged out loud, at least not very often.

He was lean for a lion, but not in a scrawny way. He was decently proportioned and she had to admit he was attractive, but not her type unfortunately. He was quite nice though, at least as for first impressions go.

Giving her a smile he was pleased to hear she was enjoying herself, it would be a right shame if she wasn't. Taking a seat so he wasn't standing for too long he mimicked her in a way, though his tail just swished on the ground behind him and he watched her curiously. "I didn't mean to interrupt you, you just looked quite comfortable. Though I suppose I didn't have to just openly say the obvious." He said with a small chuckle and gave a look around. He hoped there was water nearby, he was starting to feel thirsty.

"It's quite alright. You weren't interrupting, I was needing to get up anyway." She said with a small nod as she stood up and stretched a bit. "Would you care to accompany me? I'm feeling a bit parched and there is some water not too far from here. That is if you want. Don't feel the need to come if you don't want to or are otherwise engaged." She said starting off towards the small river she had passed earlier.

Thank the Gods, was all he thought. At least she was thirsty as well, it was definitely a good enough reason to escort her there. "I don't feel obligated at all, nor am I otherwise occupied." He said with a light laugh as he fell in stop beside her. "I'm feeling a bit thirsty myself so it all works out." He threw in there. "I'm Cheveyo, what might your name be?" He asked her curious to know a little about his current traveling companion.

She gave a small nod of her head, she had figured it would have been about a fifty fifty chance that he was thirsty, though even if he hadn't been he would have likely come along since most liked to drink when they had the chance. "It's nice to meet you Cheveyo, I'm Sobakasu, but you can call me Soba for short if you wish." She said without really much of a glance his way. She was busy trying to remember where the water was and then heard it and smiled. "Here we are." She said as they came into view of the stream and she padded over to the water with a happy little thrum and drank from it happily.

"That's a very pretty name you have." It was a simple statement, "It suits you." He added as he approached the water and drank from it himself. He felt his insides scream with satisfaction as the cool liquid raced down his throat. "This was very much needed." He said as he finished and took a seat and looked around. "Would you care to do some light hunting with me perhaps?" He offered to her.

She finished drinking and gave a nod of her head. "Two heads are better than one. I'd love to." She said and the two of them set off to find something to hunt.
