Singing and dancing ~ There are video's of Hyeon dancing and singing around the house when he was a tiny baby and he never grew out of it. He enjoys both enough that he decided to try and make it into a career so he aimed to become a KPop Idol. He knows quite a few different styles of dancing, though most are dances that have to do with Kpop, but one at some point he would love to learn some of the traditional dances as well as ballroom dancing.
Drawing ~ What started out as idle doodles slowly grew into a habit of sketching and creating artwork of people around him as well as an occasional imaginary creation. The style he tends to lean towards is photo realistic, something that has taken many years to get to the point he is at, but he will sometimes dabble in cartoonish styles when making a drawing for someone. He has notebooks filled with pictures of his family, friends, and fellow Kpop idols, a couple of the notebooks reserves just for his group members.
Art Study ~ He doesn't just like to create art, he enjoys looking at it, watching it, and listening to it. It was not unusual to find him in a museum or watching some traditional dances when it was a day off of school and he kept up that habit when he was scouted into the Kpop industry, though it was only after he was out of the training that he was really able to do so.
Virtues:
Dedicated ~ When Hyeon is into something he give it his all. He will stick to what ever it is until the end if it is possible. He worked hard to keep his grades in school high, kept on going to auditions to possibly be picked up by a Kpop company, and then made sure to study hard so that he was fluent in English.
Patient ~ He doesn't just want instant gratification, Hyeon plays to the long game and will wait for the end goal for as long as it may take to reach it. When he decided that he wanted to do something with his singing and dancing he put in a lot of time into practice and didn't let any of the rejections from the companies he got at first let him down. Once he was picked up by one he spent four years training to be a Kpop idol and as grueling as the training was he held on by telling himself that it would be all worth it in the end. His patience shows up in his drawing as well as he has had to draw, erase, and redraw many times over the years as he worked on getting better.
Elegant ~ A side effect of all of the dancing he has done through the years is that his movements are very graceful and when he walks he has a flow to his movements. Add that to his typical semi-dressy clothes and the way he tends to speak with a refined tone then it can be easy to see why someone could describe him as elegant.
Flaws:
Pushes his limits ~ When he is working on something he tends to give more then 100% and this can, and has on more then one occasion, backfire on him badly thanks to over working himself. It's been ingrained in him since he was little by both of his parents that he had to work hard to get what he wanted in life and it didn't take much for him to start ignoring his limits, joining the entertainment industry just made this worse. He's likely to forget to eat or drink while in the middle of projects, or work to the point of passing out thanks to little sleep if no one tries to stop him.
Not a leader ~ Hyeon prefers to have a supportive role when in a group as he hates making decisions for others. If someone else has decided something, such as one of his friends saying they will go to the park today, then he will back them up. While he can strive to better himself and to work towards goals, if he has to make decisions that effect others overtly he tends to try and pass the responsibility along or will end up taking a long time in making the choice.
Messy ~ He has never been very neat as a child, leaving his clothes and toys all over the house. Unless he was forced to or his parents did it for him his room wasn't cleaned which lead to him loosing things all the time. While a bit of it had been trained out of him when he went through idol training, it still sticks with him much to the bane of others and himself. He also tends to be disorganized with important events and deadlines so he either needs someone to remind him or he has to make sure to make a reminder to himself in some way, usually it is by phone alarm. He might work himself to the bone preparing for said deadline but actually remembering when it is is something else entirely.
