Everyon'e so obsessed with his looks that they don't seem to care about the real reason he cut his hair. Everyone's like "EW! Now he's all ugly!" It's not like he was thinking, "I have too many fangirls. I'll cut my hair so I'm ugly and no one will like me anymore!"
The cutting off of hair is an ancient Chinese ritual. He's still my favorite character. He may not be as hot as he used to be, but he's not ugly.
