The sun was blazing hot. It had seared through the clouds and the wide garage, even with both cars out of it and the fans blasting as hard as they could, was still sweltering. The smell of sweat was already mixing with the salt of the ocean, and Cesc, leaning over a weight bench with his arms wide and his palms up, was more concerned about sweating on Reks than he was Reks dropping his bench press bar.
He wore a yellow muscle tee with the words 'Summertime (and the living is easy)' emblazoned across it, over a graphic that looked to be a setting sun descending into an ocean. Music blasted from a speaker set with an iPhone plugged in. There was a weight set, a Heavy bag in the corner, and a knotted rope from the ceiling, as well as a kettle bell, gloves, tape, and all other manners of workout gear. There were two duffle bags by the door, unzipped, with a towel hanging out of one.
"182..." Cesc counted. "You've got this all day. All day. Too easy."

No matter how hard Iorek tried to just look up at the ceiling and focus on the burn his eyes kept falling back to that stupid shirt Cesc had on. By now he felt the sun was mocking him and he had already found words that rhymed with Summertime...like bummertime. If he wasn't lifting weights and high on testosterone he would have loved the silly shirt but right now he wanted to rip it to shreds. Every time he looked at it he had the desire to just take a nap on the beach and obviously now was not the time!
But the gargoyle was not one to talk about goofy distracting shirts cause his had a cat on it wearing sunglasses and sunbathing. And whenever Reks turned his back people were greeted with the cat's bright red sunburnt tooshie glaring straight at them. And in bright red letters under the butt it red, "GET THEM HOT BUNS HERE!". He thought it was a riot...Lillian just thought it was gross and so it had been deemed a workout-only shirt.
"Dude...add more weight!" He huffed as he pushed the bar up high. "I can totally go heavier!" He had already done two reps like this and it felt too easy. For his strength progress...and Cesc's shirt safety...it was time they bumped it up a notch!

There wasn't much that could prepare him for the sight he beheld, once he entered Shep's garage. Zul knew Cesc had been 'training' and trying to better himself as a 'man,' but seeing him in the weight lifting shirt and spotting an unfamiliar Frei who looked like he could lift the garage itself, the Sigel was quite beside himself.
Crossing his arms, the demon leaned against the door frame, watching the two with a fairly bewildered expression. "Does it work that way?" he asked in a vaguely amused tone of voice. "Can we gain or lose muscle? I've never thought to test it."

Cesc looked up from where he was spotting Iorek, already in a smile as he heard Zul's voice. He wanted to drop his hands but he forced himself to wait until he could guide Iorek to setting the giant weight plate down.
"Hey!" he called, grinning widely and floating toward the doorway, arms open. "Come here and get a sweaty hug. Of course it works that way--I used to be a noodle before I started doing some of this stuff. Not that you can really tell with Iorek---do you two know each other, actually?"
Cesc half-turned toward the Frei. "If not, you definitely should."

Iorek almost dropped the weight when he heard an unfamiliar voice but quickly recovered and set it down with Cesc's help.
The gargoyle straightened himself up and grabbed a towel as Cesc happily hurried over to the strange raevan floating in the doorway. Iorek hadn't the foggiest idea who this new guy was but if Cesc liked him he must be a good guy.
Not wanting to look like a giant ball of muck in front of Cesc's friend, Reks hung back to pat himself dry before making his way over.
"Um....no. I don't think we have." Reks smiled and slung his gym towel over his shoulder as he rejoined them.
"Hey, I'm Iorek." He extended a hand to Cesc's buddy, "Nice to meet you."
Just gonna revive this like a necromancer.

"You underestimate your sheer power of will, my friend," the demon grinned toothily as he pushed himself off the door, not hesitating in the slightest to float over to Cesc and wrap his arms around him tightly, sweat and all. "You're a manifestation of light and strength and if you wanted to move the world, I believe you capable." Zul pressed a chaste, friendly kiss to the Sigel's cheek when they parted, his blue eyes sliding to the gargoyle, something like vague familiarity settling on his features. "I've heard countless stories about his Lil and Ty, but Lex only met Reks once, I believe. I was not so fortunate."
Withdrawing from the stag, he extended his hand and took the other's much larger one, giving him a firm handshake. He doubted many offered much consideration that way to someone as impressive as Iorek. "Zul. Nice to meet you, Iorek. You're every bit as remarkable as I've heard. But please! Don't let me stop you. I'm happy to watch." He even managed to deliver that comment without too much of a flirty edge, tilting his head to the side to take in the makeshift area in the garage.
"Lex is in with the ladies," he added, almost off-handedly. "I don't know how long, you know how they can -- could be."
