Whew! Travelling was hard work. Fortunately, Nua had been on his feet all of his life, and was used to just dropping into a place and making it his home for a short time. Truly, everywhere was home. Some more than others, though, and it was towards one of those more-than-others that he was headed: to Zuri, and to her new baby Kunto! With pretty things and stories! Obviously, he would never go somewhere empty-minded. Not anymore!
But he wasn't there yet, and it was with that air of complete comfort that Nuawahn sauntered into the tavern in Ziel and ordered an ale and a meal. He'd learned that drinking was fun. One of those things that one shouldn't do too much of, to be sure, like swimming or sunbathing or eating, but fun. It eased the fatigue in his feet and loosened his tongue and made things just a little better, though to be honest, they were already great. The world was just a fantastic place, wasn't it?
That he was wind was not the reason that the tavernkeeper and other customers gave him odd looks as his order was taken. Wind folk were not rare in Zidel. His outfit, however, was strange, bearing beads and colorful objects from far off places like Jauhar and the Tale and even Oba and Matori. Nua didn't mind the stares - they were commonplace for him, and he liked the attention anyway.
There was a spot at the bar counter and he sat there to wait for his meal, looking at the people around him with delight. This was going to be fun, wasn't it?

The tavern was unfortunately, or rather fortunately, filled. She was sure working more than the usual, though she should be already accustomed to the jovial and relaxing, if she could even call it so, environment. Ikuri tried her best to get from one end of the tavern to the other without distracting herself. This was her job, there was no time for her to relax! Also she got called for doing so yesterday, it was best if she concentrated for now and for her distract herself the least possible. That meant not mingling unless of course her boss told her to talk and keep their costumer's company if they kindly requested it. After a while, she managed to reach the bar counter to rest for a ew seconds until she was in need to fetch another order and take it to whoever asked for it. Stretching slightly, she looked around and admired how well everyone got down to relax, drink (excessively for some) and chat. She watched a few people looking at some wind earthling with grimacing looks or perhaps sheer curiosity? She squinted as she tried to see who was causing all those look. She recognized that face.... Is that... Nuawahn! She thought, as a little smile made its way to her lips. She hadn't seen him in so long-- did he remembered her? Hopefully he did. The ice earthling behind the counter handed another barmaid an order of ale and a meal and instructed them to take it to the monk. Of course they didn't seem to please to do it, so as they were about to walk away Ikuri gently called out to them and suggested to give her the order to take it to him while they did anything else. With a scoff, they handed Ikuri the tray while she smiled back at her fellow coworker. Can't believe that actually worked... She thought as she mused to that thought, not noticing they rolled their eyes at her and left. With a happy stride, Ikuri approached Nua. "One ale and a meal!" She said cheerful and set both things on the counter and examined his face just to make sure she wasn't mistaken. No she wasn't! It was really him! She looked at his outfit, seeing the different objects that represented a few places. Maybe she looked at him for more than a few seconds, making her lose focus completely. Ikuri blinked back to reality and made a small reverence. "I-I'm so sorry! I just... " She stuttered. "I'm just surprised to see you here." Ikuri smiled and handed the person behind the counter the tray she had been holding. She really hoped there was a slight chance for him to remember... just the slightest. After all, she didn't remember the name she had introduced herself back then... and it would be so sad it he didn't recognize her one bit. DraconiFeline Ikuri being awkward and cute. Mostly awkward <3

Nuawahn perked up (if he had been, somehow, un-perked before!) at the call for his meal! "Oh! Thank you!" he said cheerfully, giving Ikuri a sunny, carefree smile. "They both look so yummy! Thank you!" he said, as if, somehow, she had not only brought it to him but had made the food and drink herself. It all smelled so good. In all honesty, it was fairly average fare, but to him, it was as if it was made of gold. Nuawahn had very low standards for happiness. He giggled at her comment. "Really?" he said happily. But he looked at her a little closer. She looked, pretty much, like a shifter. Hair was shifter, skin was shifter, everything but the crystals were shifter. The crystals, though, were pretty and dark, like the ice tribe. It was a really nice color combination... and it was achingly familiar. "I know you!" he exclaimed in delight. Indeed, he knew he did. He knew he'd met her, and that she'd been a nice person. He got that sense about her - that there were good memories attached to her. If only he knew what those memories were. "You look like someone I probably know!" he commented good naturedly, "Have I met you before?" He was sure that, somewhere in the memories eaten by the fog, he had met her.

"No need to thank me!" He was still as kind and cheerful as she remembered. Her hopes lifted up the moment he thanked her, and more when he sort of recognized her. Even if Nua didn't fully remember her, it seemed like something remained in his heart, which was good. Oh well, time for Ikuri to reintroduce herself. The ice shifter returned the smile sat down next to him and giggled. She was just going to catch up while she rested, and would spring right back into action afterwards. "Of course! I mean, we haven't crossed paths since I came back to Zena so I'm very surprised to see you again Nuawahn!" Ikuri said cheerfully as she instinctively served him a glass of ale. "Oh, I'm Sentha by the way! We used to travel together, which was very fun and exciting! I really hope I get the chance to travel again, more if it's with you, though I wouldn't know where to start... There are so many places to go!!" She eyes gleamed with excitement as she spoke. "What brings you back to Zena? Are looking for places to explore?" That was a good question, though she knew Nua was like a fraile leaf-- someone who'd let the wind carry them wherever it wished and wouldn't mind where it took them.

"Hiiii Sentha!" He chimed happily, equal parts trying out the new name and greeting an old friend. She'd travelled with him? That sounded about right! It would have had to have been before he'd gotten his medicine, but that was fine! He would remember her pretty face now, wasn't that great?! "I hope you do too! I bet it would be fun!" he said, taking the ale... Yay, ale! He took a hearty gulp and let the bitterness tickle his tongue and loosen his body. "This is good!" He said happily, offering it to her, "You should have some too?" It would have been mean not to offer it, right? To his friend? His friend Sentha. "Mmhmm! Theres lots of places to go!" he said agreeably, "And theres always something new to see! But I bet theres new things to see when you stay in one place, though." He shrugged. He probably never would stay put for long, ever. Never had, never would. But, when he did linger, it never bored him. "Mmhmm! But I also have a friend here! She's a really pretty lady and she's really nice and she has this little girl with fins who is also really pretty, so I'm gonna go see them and bring them presents!" He said, smiling as he thought of them - and what he'd brought for them.

"Oh!" Her hands rose up slightly and instinctively. Could she possibly drink while she was in service? Other barmaids did and, well, she had occasionally been nagged about not drinking and chatting and making clients happy when they offered her stronger drinks. So maaaaybe she should-- For once? Besides, she'd drink with Nua and that guaranteed fun! Ikuri smiled and took his cup, served herself some ale and drank it. Wow, it was very good, sweet even! "Thank you! I reaally shouldn't drink though. Not that I'm not allowed just that... I wouldn't want to finish up your ale." She giggled. In reality, she didn't think she was able to drink much but really, who knew? "Yeah! I like I said I'll eventually travel so I can see new things and.. I don't know just enjoy myself while I try them out. I promise you though if I ever travel but I don't get the chance to do so with you because of work, I'll try my best to find you and tell you all about it!!" Also give him something nice! But she wouldn't tell him that, wouldn't want to ruin a surprise! Oh so he was visiting someone, that was great! If ikuri was perky before then she might as well be perkier. "Nuawahn you are so sweet! She must be really really reaaaally nice, and I bet the girl with fins is as nice! Hope they like your presents, I mean they will, but I hope the are left awestruck because of your nice gesture!" The shifter couldn't help but feel curiosity. What did he brought them? From where? As she was about to ask, Ikuri took notice of her boss. He wasn't near them but he was able to watch her from where he was standing. He was probably expecting her to drown the client in an blissful mood. The girl panicked, she didn't know what she was supposed to do. "Hey, um, mind if I sit closer for a second?" She said as she quickly scooted her seat closer, put his arm around her and rested on his shoulder. Hopefully he wouldn't mind? At least her boss seemed satisfied. Ikuri poured his ale on his cup and nudged him to take it with a smile. Disaster temporarily averted... "So, what did you brought them?" Ikuri whispered with enthusiasm. "I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't ask but, I'm just curious since I feel like you brought them something really special!!"

Nuawahn laughed. "That's okay, I'll just order another one!" he said, taking back the cup to drink some more. It was very much like flirting, and it was fun to do. "Yes! Travel lots of places!" he said, agreeably. With him, without him, as long as he heard the story, it was like he had been there, too. "Mmhmm! I think they'll love them!" he said. He wasn't sure about awestruck, but they'd be happy, at least. "Wanna see?" He knew he shouldn't offer - the gifts were for Kunto and Zuri, not for Ikuri... but he liked to show things off, and the urge was irresistable. Sit closer? No problem with that. "Okay!" he said happily, letting her put his arm around her and pulling her closer. She was a pretty lady, too, he noticed - had noticed before, too - and he saw nothing wrong with bringing her closer. She was soft and warm to the touch, and he saw no problem with this at all. "Eee!" he squealed, happily. She did want to see the presents! Then, there was no problem with that either, right? Right? He brought them out, a little coyly. "Well..." He placed them on the counter to show Ikuri, taking off the cloth that protected them... he really needed to wrap them up! Maybe Ikuri could help with that! "This one is for Zuri!" he said, revealing a hair barette made of dark grey pearl-shell. It had pretty teal inlays and a few clear crystals, like dewdrops. Red paint on the sides, in a coiling design, finished it off. "Because she has pretty hair!" Actually... he touched Ikuri's hair... It was a lot like Ikuri's actually... He needed to find her a hair thing. Something with Nondwa on it, maybe! Something light purple and blue! It would look good on her. "And this one is for Kunto!" he said, revealing a little green bird figurine with blue crystals for eyes. "It's a kinfa!" he said, making it 'fly' at her and giggling happily. "What do you think?" he asked, eager for her approval...
