Biography: Harvey grew up in the old glory days of Nix City, back when factories were still abundant. His father was the head of one of the factories in town which produced various building parts. As a child, Harvey preferred staying indoors and observing what went on in his father's factory instead of playing with other kids. He grew up tinkering with machines whenever his father wasn't looking, and when his father finally noticed his son's talents, he encouraged Harvey's growth by allowing him to work with him in the factory. Eventually Harvey's father retired and moved their family over to Castelia City when factories in Nix City started shutting down. Harvey, however, stayed behind to grow alongside the city. He refused to sell his father's factory and continued the business as best he could. Eventually an offer came to become Gym Leader of the city, and Harvey accepted on the condition that his father's old factory be preserved.
