Personality: Beneath the quiet exterior, Marybelle holds deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. She is seen as an activist, and would help for a cause and not for personal glory or political power. She's often found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. She occasionally may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the her. "There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, Marybelle is not easily led. She's the type of person that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, she can be selective about her friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words. An introverted intuitive, Marybelle enjoys a greater clarity of perception of inner, unconscious processes than most. She readily grasps the hidden psychological stimuli behind the more observable dynamics of behavior and affect. Her amazing ability to deduce the inner workings of the mind, will and emotions of others gives her an odd reputation. Unlike the confining, routinizing nature of introverted sensing, introverted intuition frees this type to act insight fully and spontaneously as unique solutions arise on an event by event basis. Extroverted feeling, Marybelle expresses a range of emotion and opinions of, for and about people. She find herself caught between the desire to express her wealth of feelings and moral conclusions about the actions and attitudes of others, and the awareness of the consequences of unbridled candor. She sometimes may vent the attending emotions in private, to trusted allies. Such confidants are chosen with care, for Marybelle is well aware of the treachery that can reside in the hearts of others. However, she keeps most of those emotions to herself and tries to not be a burden to others. Her thinking is introverted, turned toward the subject. Perhaps it is when her thinking function is operative that she is most aloof. A comrade might surmise that such detachment signals a disillusionment, that she has also been found lacking by the sardonic eye of this one who plumbs the depths of the human spirit. However, such distancing is merely an indication that she is hard at work and focusing energy into this less efficient tertiary function. Marybelle is twice blessed with clarity of vision, both internal and external. Just as she possess inner vision which is drawn to the forms of the unconscious, she also has external sensing perception which readily takes hold of worldly objects. Sensing, however, is the weakest of Mary's arsenal and the most vulnerable. Marybelle, like her fellow intuits, may be so absorbed in intuitive perceiving that she becomes oblivious to physical reality. Under stress, she may fall prey to various forms of immediate gratification.

While there, he met college student and barista Angelica Serrano. In the few weeks meant as a mere trip to look in a possible job position, the immigrant fell in love with the woman, and out of that love came an unexpected child. Being a man of honor, Mario moved to Arcata and married Angelica quickly, thus becoming a family. However, the man soon realized how rushed the situation he put himself in truly was. Unbeknownst to him, Angelica was suffering from extreme Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), which has been shown as a hereditary trait among the females in her family tree on her maternal side. She was just recently released from a clinic shortly before meeting Mario, who upon learning still stayed. Summertime rolled along, and a little brown eyed child was born. Unfortunately, Angelica committed suicide three days later, finally tired of her ongoing battle in life. This left Mario a widow and single father in one fell swoop. Fortunately, he had the help of Angelica's father, Gilberto. He was a fellow professor at the university, though he taught environmental sciences. Together, the two men raised little Marybelle--named by her religious father after the virgin Mary. Being raised by two scholars and males was an interesting environment for the child, but she always felt loved and cherished. When one man wasn't able to be there for a school event, the other would be there. She eventually was told about her mother and what happened, leading Marybelle interested in pursuing psychology. Since she was an adolescent, she as taken to a psychiatrist to determine how her mental development was, and if she has a chance of developing BPD. However, she never showed enough symptoms to ever be diagnosed, which was a relatively large relief to both her grandfather and father. Marybelle managed to graduate high school at sixteen with honor roll, making her family proud. To top that, she managed to obtain her Psy.D at the age of 22. She currently makes films in the local area, most of them being documentaries or short films about peoples' lives.
