I am working on the business plan to open my own bookstore!
I've already got a clever name and a half-done business plan.
I'm working with some people out of city hall here in town who think I have a really good chance to succeed here, and I'm currently waiting on replies back from major publishers here in Canada about what kinds of pricing they offer for retailers, as well as wanting to offer used books and to buy used books.
So, yeah, I'll still make the posts at the beginning and middle of the month on time, but I don't know if I'll be able to finish reading books in order to participate in discussions while I'm getting everything in order here.
As a result, if anyone has the time to sort of take on crew member activities, such as making the polls and discussion threads and making sure members aren't breaking any rules (which like nobody has so far so hey) and/or advertising the guild a little (as I've run really lax on that front) let me know!
If you have any questions about what I'm doing or any experience with this kind of thing, lets talk. Frankly, I'm going to need as much help as I can find, lmao.

Wow, such big projects! Good luck with the book store. ^_^ I could take care of the polls and announcements if you want. I'll add the banner in my signature as well and try to bump the thread on the books subforum when there's a new book we're starting to read and when we start the discussions, but you'll still have to update the first post when the polls end to announce which book is getting read for potential newcomers. Was there anything else you did for advertising?
I'm so late on my reading. XD But I'll catch up.

I can update the first post no problem. I appreciate the help, it means a lot. Yeah! Well, every time I've had a job working for someone else I've always felt like I was just wasting my time. I figure, I can't feel like I'm wasting my time if I'm working for me, since everything I'll be doing will be in my interest and no one else's. X3

D: The thread on the books subforum is too old. It won't let me post...

Massive congratulations! Hope all is going well with it. I was thinking, since the Phedre Trilogy is a pretty big read [And thanks to the weather in England being stellar, the car boot sales have so many books and I have so little self control] Perhaps we should extend this last read for a month. Have a little hiatus so we aren't rushing people?

Eva Carline Massive congratulations! I think if we'd wanted to do that, we should have announced it before we voted for the current book... So we should probably read Julian now. Especially since new members might have picked it up and not read the Phèdre trilogy at all. We don't want to lose them. I'll create a poll around the 15th to ask everyone if they need a month to catch up in August, though. If people say they do, maybe we can take a month break... Julian is a pretty big read too, I think, so it would be reasonable. And now I'm off to post my reply about Kushiel's Avatar, which I finished just yesterday. sweatdrop
