Googledocs post of rp between Sleet and I

Quote:
As another sneeze jolted his head forward he was glad for the fact that work was just letting out. He had turned up for work with the black kitty mask on, telling his boss that he wasn’t sick but rather suffering allergies. She understood, as he figured she would, and thanked him for the mask he wore to keep himself from sneezing and dripping onto things as he worked. But now, hours later, and he still was feeling under the weather but was off - finally.

Reaching behind himself to untie the apron he wore Seung went to hang it up inside the small locker he had while grabbing his phone and ipod as well as the hoodie he had in there. Pulling the hoodie on over his head his hands stuffed themselves into the pockets at the front. His phone and ipod in his hands he headed out of the back slowly, one hand exiting the pocket in order to push the back door open. As the door opened and let him into the convenience store his hand moved up to rub at an itchy eye. It was because his eyes had been itchy and irritated this morning, when he’d been getting ready for work, that he hadn’t put in his contacts and so was wearing his glasses today - something he never did. He wore his glasses in the evening, at home or at Terry’s home, after he’d removed his makeup and had done his nightly skin care ritual. After that he would wear glasses but today he wore them out and about, his eyes too uncomfortable for his contacts.

Rubbing more he switched eyes and once done bowing to his boss and wishing her a good evening. Heading out of the store he found his head jolting forward again as he sneezed several times, each one rocking his head forward before he was sniffling some. Cursing in Korean he shook his head, fingers running through his hair as he sniffled again. He wanted to go home and curl up somewhere warm, with his school work, but he wanted to check the herbal medicine shop a block away and see if they had anything which might help him to feel a little better. He was also thinking of stopping by one of the little, literally physically little, clinics in the district so he could gain a little more energy because after work he felt drained.

Stepping onto the sidewalk he sighed, hating how it was chilly and looked like it might rain soon, as he only had his hoodie and no umbrella, he needed to do some shopping before going home. Seung hoped it wouldn’t start to rain till he was home, so he didn’t get caught in the rain while already being chilled and sick. Pulling his hood up he stuffed his hand into the free pocket and headed on his way down the block. The shop he had in mind wasn’t too far away, just a block, and hopefully the ajumma who owned the place would have a few things to help where the allergy pills didn’t help much if at all.

Quote:
Terry had asked Seung to let him know his work hours for a while now, at first just so they could plan more effectively when to meet up or to partner patrol. Now however he fully planned on using the knowledge he had in order to surprise the other and pick him up after work. He had gotten the idea after seeing the weather report and seeing how it was more than likely going to rain around the time Seung got off work, leaving the other to have to walk in the rain. So he has asked permission to borrow his Mom’s car and drove down to Korea Town and found a place to park not terribly far from Seung’s work. After checking the time to make sure he wasn’t too late or too early he grabbed a large umbrella and exited the car.

He didn’t open the umbrella as he walked, having no need to since it wasn’t raining just yet, and instead was using it almost like a prop cane to make sure he wouldn’t accidently hit anyone with it. The young man looked around at the people walking down the sidewalk, trying to catch Seung if the other had already left his work. He wasn’t spotting the other just yet, not having seen him in the outfit he was wearing today and therefore not knowing to expect him in the hoodie and mask.

Quote:
Lucky for Terry, though not for Seung, was the next sneeze which brought his head snapping forward. When he lifted his head, sniffling and reaching for a tissue in his pant pocket, his hood had fallen off showing his unique hair style. Tissue in hand he moved his mask just enough so he could handle his dripping, leaky, nose before tossing the tissue into a trash can which he found himself leaning against as he sneezed two more times.

A rather pitiful half whine, half moan, passed his lips as he pouted. His cheeks puffed up as he pouted, after blowing his nose out again. His allergies, at least his hay fever, was never this bad. As the doctor had said, when he’d seen him, it was likely something that was more common here and so with more pollen in the air that he was allergic to he was having a stronger reaction. Or there was more pollen in the air than there had ever been back home, either due to where they were and the amount of the plant or due to the weather and such allowing for more. Either way - it was worse than ever.

Quote:
Terry had been looking across the street at the time Seung lost his hood, having been checking to make sure the other wasn’t walking on the other side, but the sound of the loud sneezing caught his attention. Turning his head he spotted the familiar blond sneezing by a trash can and he frowned in worry. If it was this bad he was glad he had decided to pick up the other before the rain hit. The young man quickly moved over to Seung, avoiding other pedestrians along the way, and when he was close enough he put a hand on the other’s shoulder. “Are you alright?” He asked, tone clearly showing his worry as he looked the other up and down. He wasn’t looking very well and the sneezing was obviously something that had been ongoing all through the day.

Quote:
Sniffling again, throwing out the tissue he was just pulling his mask back on when a hand was placed on his shoulder. Looking up, and turning his head just a bit, he spied Terry and sighed. “Pollen.” He explained, figuring it was really that simple and easy. Many people had pollen allergies and he was no different, they were just worse than he was used to.

Reaching up to rub at his itchy, watery, eyes he had to move his glasses out of the way and that was something he wasn’t particularly used to as he did so rarely wear them out and about. Only wearing them between his night skin routine and bed he never wore them out and about unless out of contacts - which was rare. “Medication from doctor isn’t helping….was going to herbal shop block over.” He didn’t mention the other idea which had crossed his mind, as he was rather tired today.

With no makeup on, glasses, and a mask not to mention his eyes and nose as they were he was sure he made a rather horrid sight, and he wasn’t pleased with this. He didn’t want the other to see him looking like this.

Quote:
Terry made a hum in understanding and gave Seung a sympathetic look. He had pollen issues as well but to plants that were thankfully not found around here so he only had to deal with it when they went to visit his grandparents. Even so he understood what the other was going through with this. “I’m sorry. Hopefully the rain will help wash some of the pollen away by the time it’s over.” Sometimes the rain was nice like that and cut the pollen that was flying in the air down.

“Come on, let’s go see if they have something at the shop then.” He said as he moved a bit closer to Seung. He wrapped an arm around the other as a half hug while keeping his other free to hold the umbrella. Terry hoped that the shop did have something that would help Seung as the poor man looked so miserable. While he didn’t care that the other wasn’t wearing his makeup, or that he was wearing his glasses and a mask, he was more concerned with the fact that Seung wasn’t feeling well.

Quote:
“Makes them grow too...and make pollen.” He said, though the rain washing it away would be nice as well, and he hoped it did. With his mask back in place and his glasses fixed he nodded his head slowly, glad he had stopped sneezing, for now. “Never so bad back home...light.” He didn’t suffer much more than a few sneezes and some other slight symptoms. This was just...a nightmare. Looking around at the people walking past them, going in both directions, he finally let his eyes land on the other to look him over and take note of the umbrella.

“Ginseng maybe...ginger too maybe...or honey. Maybe something else...many things maybe.” Something to make perhaps which could help, a tea or a soup. He just wanted to try something a bit more natural. With the other holding him he leaned into Terry and snuggled close. “Cold too...cold out and cold as well.” He never had possessed much body fat and still didn’t so the chill of spring, slight as it might be, affected him. Being under the whether, even if from allergies only, made him a bit more susceptible to tie chill in the air and with it about to rain today. He could use a nice warm place to lay and several blankets.

Quote:
“Very true. Most of the time though if they’ve already bloomed and started putting out pollen then they don’t make or release more pollen into the air after.” Terry said with a small smile. That would hopefully be the case in this anyway. He was sorry that the other was getting hit so hard with this but there wasn’t much he himself could do sadly. “So what ever it is you are allergic to is in both countries but more prevalent here.” He said mostly to himself.

Terry pressed a kiss to the top of Seung’s head and held him closer after he said he was cold. “After we go to the shop we can go to the car and put the heater on.” He said soothingly. He was debating on just bringing the other back home with him and tucking him in a blanket pile. Something he would have to run by Seung when they were done he supposed. “Come on, let’s get this done and get you feeling better.” He would have started walking and bringing the other with him but he wasn’t sure just where the shop was that Seung was going to.

Quote:
Ah, was that true? If so that would be good for him. It meant what was out would, or could, be washed away by the rain and with no more pollen on the way it should clear up - right? If that was the case he could sleep better and function better over all. Because right now functioning and doing things was not as easy as they should be. Nodding his head to the others words he sighed. “Yes, seems so...from what doctor said.” He answered then.

“Heater sounds good right now - very good.” Actually anything warm sounded amazing, he missed the heating system they’d had back home in Korean. It was water which ran under the floor and it heated the floor and since heat rose it filled and warmed the apartment they’d lived in. But the floors were so nice and toasty warm so he could, and would, lay on the floors when it was winter and wrap up in a blanket and sleep. It was so nice to curl up, under a blanket, on a nice warm floor and fall asleep - he missed it a lot.

“Home they have something...should. “Ajumma has many things.” And her place played nice traditional music as well, the sort of stuff he listened to fairly often when going to sleep.

Quote:
“And it would be hard to pin down just exactly you were allergic to.” Terry said rhetorically. He knew there would be ways to do it but to find out for sure it would take testing and that wouldn’t amount to much to help Seung in stopping the effects. He started to gently rub the other’s arm to help generate some more heat for him. He wondered if there were any blankets in his Mom’s car as he did so and decided that he would have to check when they were done. “Well the heater in the car is good and while I don’t know if there is any blankets in the car I think I have an extra jacket in there if nothing else.” He said. “What kinds of things can you find at the shop?”

Quote:
“Mmm, very hard.” And he didn’t see any point in it. He’d know what the cause was but that wouldn’t prevent it, wouldn’t help it. Sneezing again he clung to the other as a second one followed up the first in quick succession. “Heater will be enough till I can get home...or your home.” He said slowly, not sure what the other had planned since Terry had just shown up. It was a nice surprise, actually it was a really nice surprise and he was thankful for it as well. The others rubbing motions did help as he pressed into the others side.

“Herbs...ginseng in bottles...dried and fresh herbs...other things from home. Traditional.”

Quote:
Terry gave Seung a smile when the other mentioned possibly coming back with him. He had been going to ask him if he wanted to anyway so now was the perfect time it would seem. “If you would like I can bring you back to my house. If so then I’ll make another blanket nest to keep you warm.” He said. He wasn’t trying to bribe or tempt the other, the idea had just come to mind and he thought he would mention it. When Seung started to list the different things you could find at the shop they were going to he nodded thoughtfully. “I see.”

Quote:
“Would be nice, and warm, would be joining me?” He asked the other with a tilt of his head and questioning dark eyes. Reaching the end of the block, with him now noticing the large amount of people around them waiting for the walk signal to be given by the little light across the street, he didn’t have to wait as they just had to turn the corner and continue walked. It would be down this new block...and then a turn. It was a few shops away from the convenience store he worked at but just...on the street behind it.

“Your mother won’t mind me over?” He asked, wanting to make sure it would be ok for him to come over and spend time over the others home. Even if he wasn’t spending the night, at least not that he was planning, it would be best to ask and know if it was ok for him to visit as he would likely be over for dinner.

Quote:
“Yes more then likely.” Terry said with a small smile. If it had been last year when the question of whether or not he would join anyone in a blanket nest he would have said no. It was almost strange to think how much he had grown used to touching the other and how quickly it had happened. At least it meant that he was fully relaxed and willing to cuddle the other when he wasn’t feeling good like now.

“Of course. You are welcome at anytime.” He said as he saw the people nearby them gathering to cross the street. As he didn’t know where they were heading he briefly wondered if they would be waiting with the group or not but Seung didn’t stop there and instead continued on. “Even if you are having allergy problems or if you are sick you are welcome. Though if you ever do come over sick be prepared for Mom to stuff you full of vitamins.” He said with a chuckle thinking on how if Matt or him had gotten sick she had always been sure to have them take various vitamins depending on what they had.

Quote:
He’d found out about the others issue with touch, and closeness, and yet it hadn’t been there with them at all - ever. It was strange but he wasn’t normally the close sort of person himself, being rather cold with people he didn’t know, but he had made quick friends with the other and took to clinging to him. They’d both gravitated to each other fast and with ease. It wasn’t a bad thing though, they were close, and the idea of snuggling up in a nest of blankets was a very attractive idea.

“Take them at home already.” He answered with a shrug of his shoulders, more wouldn’t do him any harm and wasn’t something he didn’t already do. So what was some more vitamins going to harm? Though he was sure there were some you shouldn’t have too much of - he doubted that would ever be an issue. “If sick, have mask - not wanting to get other people sick too.” He said with ease, for now it wasn’t because he didn’t want to pass on anything but for sanitary reasons and just good manners really.

Once on the next block he made his way down past several stores till he stopped at once that looked rather old fashioned- and just old. He could already hear the music from the street - very traditional music.

Quote:
“That’s good to know. If she does try and stuff you witht hem make sure to let her know what kinds you already had during the day just in case.” Terry said with a nod. He had knew there were some that could cause more harm than good if you take too much at one time or within a close proximity. It would not be good to make Seung overdose on those kinds while trying to make him feel better. At the mention of the mask his eyes darted to the cat mask on the other’s face and couldn’t help but find it cute even with the reason behind the mask being to stop any bodily fluids from spreading.

Ask they kept walking, Terry pulled his attention away from being fully focused on Seung to look around a bit more, just in case he might make a return trip at any point of time. When the other stopped them just outside of a building he peered at in in curiosity. “I wonder how old the building is.” He said then opened the door and held it open for Seung.

Quote:
“Mmm, I’ll make sure. All times I stay over might keep some over your home.” He said slowly and reached up to rub at one itchy eye under his glasses, which he than had to adjust and fix. “Feel like I’m moving in…” He said slowly, it was true to a point. He had various drinks in the others fridge, banana milk and others. It was only a matter of time before he brought other things into the others home that he used. Maybe a spare set of contacts...that would make sense actually.

“Don’t know...could ask ajumma, might know.” He said stepping inside. There were large, and small, jars of clear liquid with ginseng inside them, various things dried and hanging from the walls and ceiling. Jars on shelves labeled and books as well. The counter had the register and even more things which they sold. Back on a counter top behind the register was a scale and knife and other things needed for measuring, cutting, packaging and labeling purchases. From the backroom the old lady came, even as the music continued to fill the air.

Bowing to her, greeting her properly, he stood up with a sniffle before going to explain what was going on and what the doctor had said and given him - what wasn’t helping from what he could tell. Watching as the old ajumma, wrinkled face and all, stared at him thoughtfully after greeting him in return. Watching as she finally started to move around, speaking as she went, he let her wander as he leaned against Terry and let his dark eyes track her movements about the shop.

Quote:
Terry couldn’t help but blush when Seung mentioned he felt like he was moving in. He couldn’t decide if that thought pleased him or made him nervous to be honest, though in the end he decided it was probably a mix of both. “Is that a bad feeling?” He asked after a moment, wondering how the other felt. Not that he was going to ask the other to move in with him right this second or anything but he was curious to what Seung’s thoughts were.

He nodded when Seung mentioned asking the owner, that making sense after all, then followed the other into the store. He looked around noticing that it was different then previous health or vitamin stores he had been into, this one clearly being more traditional than the ones that were more ‘marketable’. When Seung bowed to the owner he copied the other then kept silent as he explained what was going on. He wrapped an arm would the older man when he leaned against him and started to rub his upper back, shoulder opposite to him, and arm of the same just in case the other was still cold.

Quote:
“Not bad...strange. Normally too expensive living together. Live at home till married...families pay for apartment and furniture - gift for couple. Is why love motels popular.” For unmarried couples, or anything else, but with people, who were dating, to be living at home still even when adults it made sense. It wasn’t until married that most lived together for the first time and really moved in together. Though it wasn’t like Terry lived on his own anyway but to feel like he was, slowly, moving into the others home where he lived with his parents - very strange for him.

Appreciating the attention from Terry the blond turned slowly to face the other, watching the old lady move about and grab a few things as she gave him information on what each thing was and what it was for. She was setting up a whole thing for him - how nice, and he did mean it.

Resting his chin on the others shoulder, peering behind Terry at the old ajumma he turned his head as much as he could, without lifting it, as she walked right past them again and to behind the counter to weigh up things and grind them and whatever else she was going to be doing.

Quote:
“Oh, that makes sense.” Terry said with a nod, still lightly blushing. “Over the past few years here it has become more prevalent that people stay with their parents as they go through college to save money and occasionally for longer after they graduate for the same reason so that’s not strange.” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders. Matt was out of college but was still living at home, he himself was going to college and doing the same, so it wasn’t a strange concept to share living space with someone to save money.

He continued to rub Seung to help warm him up though his eyes did keep getting caught by the ajumma when she passed by, though he didn’t quite understand what was being said back and forth, he could always ask Seung later on. Then if the other needed help with anything at all he could. When the other turned to him, Terry gave a smile and pressed a kiss to his forehead. If he used the kiss to double check and make sure of the other’s temperature then that was something only he would know.

Quote:
It wasn’t just to save money, as most didn’t get jobs, it was so they could focus on school so they could get jobs in the future. He didn’t say as much, since it was close enough and it surely applied to some anyway. But at least it wasn’t such an odd thing as it happened here also. He had wondered about that as he’d had several classmates who lived on their own, or with roommates and he had wondered if his own living situation would be very odd here, as it sounded like it might have been.

When she finally seemed done and was packing everything up he shuffled, arms about Terry, toward the register so he could thank her, get instructions, and pay as well. More shifting about took place as he turned around so he could face her and bowing as he thanked her and got instructions, it was a tea of sorts he was to take whenever he started to feel various symptoms. The ingredients were to be steeped for a certain amount of time, of course, and as he took the package he fished out his wallet with his other hand so he could pay. He understood the instructions and knew he’d be drinking it a lot, she hadn’t even asked if he had a tea kettle or knew how to make tea - it was assumed.

Quote:
If Seung had spoken up, Terry would have agreed that some still got jobs while going to college here as well. But since he didn’t, the younger of the two just turned his attention to the owner and moved with Seung as he went to pay. He was missing almost everything when she gave the instructions, maybe catching a word or so here and there but nothing that made sense to him. When Seung took the package and started to pay Terry spoke up. “Would you like me to take that for you?” He asked with a smile, referring to the package. He figured it would be easier for the other to pay if he wasn’t trying to juggled everything.

Quote:
“Ah, yes.” Nodding his head he offered it over to Terry so he could properly handle the money transaction without risking dropping things, either his wallet or the package. “Thank you.” Smiling, grateful for the others offer, Seung was able to pay for the medication and take the change back from the old lady. The change went into his wallet before the slender leather wallet was placed back into his back pocket, the one opposite where his cell phone currently resided.

It would be, at some point on the way to Terry’s, that he’d explain the medication he’d received. Not just what it was but what to do with it and the instructions he’d been given, not now though. Now he was moving to turn around and head for the exit, one arm moving to wrap about one of Terry’s, as he looked the other over - tempted to snuggle up and kiss him. He would have had it not been for the ajumma as he didn’t want her seeing. He knew the opinions of old Korean people and he did not need her seeing such a thing nor assuming they were more than friends so such affections were limited. She would likely be the sort to whisper things about him or tell his parents if she ever met them, and knew they were his parents.

Quote:
Terry hooked the umbrella over his wrist and took the package from Seung with a smile and a nod. “You’re welcome.” He said then waited patiently for the other to pay the helpful owner. While he was waiting he glanced around the shop again then back to the transaction between the two. It wasn’t long before Seung was done and he followed along side the other man as he made his way out of the store. “Let’s get you back to my place and feeling better.” He said with a small smile as they went out the door. “I parked not far from your work so it’s not a long walk and it won’t be long before there will be the heater.”

Quote:
“Sounds good, can make this tea too.” He said thinking over what she’d said. He would boil some water and make himself some tea once he got to Terry’s home - then curl up in a blanket nest. “Can watch movies together? Or tv show you like? Unless you have school work...I can help.” Or at least he could try. He wasn’t stupid, far from it, but he wasn’t into the computer field like Terry was. He had done university before though, and would be again as he had to continue his degree.

“Feeling better takes time…” It wouldn’t just happen suddenly, as much as he wished it would, but this was a good start toward that. “Sorry for not being well today.” And for the other picking him up, as a surprise, and discovering it.

Quote:
“I believe Mom has a tea set you can use to make it.” Terry said trying to recall the last time he had seen it. It must have been a year at least for the proper tea set, it was more likely to catch her using the mug that Matt had gotten her for Mother’s Day that had a built in tea leaf catcher so you can just soak the leaves in the cup after boiling some water. “Sure. We can take a look at the options once we get you settled in.” He nodded then gave a smile when the other offered to help him with school work. “I do have a bit but it isn’t due until next week so we can just relax before anything else. Thanks for offering though.” He was happy the other was willing but he wanted to make sure Seung got rest first and foremost so any homework could be done later.

“It does but we can help it along and give you a temporary reprieve at least.” Terry pointed out with a smile. He then shook his head and lightly bumped the other with his elbow. “There is no need to be sorry that you are sick, it happens.”

Quote:
“Sounds good, would like that.” He’d see what the others mother had to offer and make what he had for himself, he had a feeling Terry’s mother would be offering to help him and trying to coddle him as well. She just was the sort of caring mother - very close. Not that his own mother wasn’t but it seemed she was a bit more...there, he wasn’t sure what word to say or what to think. But it was just more.

“Ok, will help when I can be doing it with you.” He didn’t mind helping, it would give him something to do and he could see what the others work looked like. He hadn’t gone for the same sorts of courses so he might not be up to it but he could learn if that was the case. His own homework was already done, always was done that night, so doing something while at Terry’s home would be good for him.

Nodding he smiled and shook his head as the other bumped him. A step to the side as he was bumped before we returned the gesture. “Yes, but you came to have time together and cannot be as fun when sick.” He could not be as active as he wanted to just curl up under something warm, work on homework with the other, and potentially use up a box of tissues - oh and sip tea.

Quote:
Terry nodded in agreement though privately thought that he would make sure the other go enough rest first and worry about any homework later. It wasn’t overly complicated work so he would see to Seung’s health before anything else. He wasn’t going to object to the other helping him or even taking a look, he just want him to feel better first. “Alright, but tea and possibly vitamins and meds first.” He said then gave a smile when Seung bumped him back. “Spending time is still spending time, doesn’t matter how it’s spent.” He said in response though it sounded like he was fondly quoting someone. “We may not be able to go do something like skating or any other high energy activity, but there is always talking, cuddling, watching movies, homework, playing video games, and so on. Plenty to do.”

Quote:
Nodding his head to the others words, there was no way he’d be doing anything high energy when he felt like how he currently did. With his little mask on to keep the grossness to himself he sneezed again and sniffled, coughing once on the stuff going down the back of his throat. Yup, he wasn’t gonna do anything involving too much energy being used.

“Ok...tea and vitamins...maybe medicine.” He didn’t know about that. He didn’t know if anything would interact or if he’d wind up putting himself to sleep due to two meds hitting him hard, as he didn’t know how well both would work separately, much less combined.

“Alright….tv and homework.” Cuddles maybe, but he was kinda gross feeling...but yes, some background noise and homework were his plans for the time spent together, though he had a feeling Terry had other plans.

Quote:
He was glad that the other didn’t seem upset about not being ‘better’ company for him anymore, and didn’t have any objections to spending the evening relaxing. Terry gave Seung a smile then his eyes settled on the parking lot where he left the car. “And probably some food of some sort to help the medicine both go down easier and work quicker.” He mentioned as he lead the other into the parking lot and over to the car, pulling out the keys enough to press the button to unlock the car when they were close enough. “Anything sound good or do you think just a soup of some kind would be best?” He asked as he opened the passenger door for Seung with a smile, balancing the bag on his hip.

Quote:
“Food would help.” He admitted nodding his head. He had been too miserable to eat really, he didn’t like to eat when he felt sick...it was just what happened when he felt that uncomfortable and off. He’d push himself to work when sick, always, but not eating was the one thing he couldn’t really push past when he wasn’t feeling well. The idea of food...well he knew he should eat but he didn’t really didn’t want to. “Don’t know if I can though...never hungry when not good feeling.” Seung said while following the other to his car.

With Terry opening his door he got inside and reached up to tag the bag for himself. “Will hold this.” He said nodding his head and waited till the other got into the driver's side before relaxing into his seat for the drive back to Terry’s, already picturing the tea and Terry’s mother hovering over him some.

Quote:
Terry frowned when Seung said he wasn’t hungry when he was feeling bad, not liking that at all. “I’m sure we can find something that catches your appetite.” He said, figuring they could start with toast and soup. Hopefully the other would be feeling better enough to be able to eat after implying he might not have today. He then nodded his head and passed the bag to Seung when he said he would take it. Terry closed the car door and quickly made his way over to the driver's side and got in. “Feel free to change the temperature to whatever feels the most comfortable for you.” He said as he got them going. Even with the drivers on the road going slow thanks to the rain, it didn’t take them long to reach his house where operation Make Seung Feel Better began.
