Since my life is practically nothing, I might as well develop some kind of skill. -shrugs-

I'm not sure that's how you should approach it. Think of it as skills you want to have to offer someone els. They should desire you in the first place.

I think these are my list of best skills to have:

Cooking

Cleaning(like how to do it right)

Carrying a conversation even when your not at all interested in the subject

And maybe develop a wider set of hobbies and general knowledge. Like sports and stuff males normally are interested in.

What's attractive to a lot of people is self confidence and being comfortable/happy in your own skin.

Focus on improving yourself so that you like yourself first. If you try to improve yourself to please other people you're holding yourself to their standards instead of your own, and other people don't always have your best interests in mind.

I agree with RyaZombie. Self Confidence is the most amazing thing.

Working on yourself and finding out what you like to do and nurturing your hobbies and interests are a big thing. When you find someone you're interested in are you going to talk about how great you can clean and how much of a wife material you are or are you going to talk about the things you're passionate about? Once you work on your self worth and what you love in life the rest kinda falls into place
